Davidson Academy is now 19-3, with losses to Clarkrange and Friendship Christian (early in the season), and a recent loss to top-ranked DCA.

 

Sounds to me like they're very good.

DA is a very good basketball team but they'll have to play exceptionally well to beat DCA in the regional final. The Lady Bears can go on the road and win in the substate, but once they get to the 'Boro DCA will be there waiting for them again.

My point was about Davidson Academy. Clay County is good, too. The post season has a way of bringing out the best in the Lady Dawgs.

 

The district and region Clay County plays in is more well-balanced than probably at any time.

There are at least six good teams in the region. I'm not sure if there is a great team. We'll see in the post season. District 7A has a pretty good track record in terms of championships and runnersup, that's for sure.

clay co should be better than they are now but the games i have seen not very impressive! 8a could have 2 teams in the substate for the first time in a few years

8A had two teams in the substate two years ago, when Westmoreland beat Chattanooga Christian and Friendship Christian beat Tyner.

it wouldnt suprise me a bit if 8a sweeps it again this year and you are right 7a is down this year but next year will be a different story with jackson county back in and clarkrange getting some depth and height from the middle school
