another riverdale/oakland game will be iffy but riverdale is not your average 4 seed. i think you have to consider lebanon, siegel and oakland the favorites in their games

the only one of those 3 that i'm not sure about is lebanon. shelbyville has talented and quick guard play as well as a big "wide load" post player. he's just a freshman, but can cause problems inside on both ends.

We've got some confident District 7 posters here.  All this talk about sweep and rematches.  Let's not forget that basketball actually is played outside of Murfreesboro, and the Lions from Columbia will prove it to you next week. Columbia by 7 over Riverdale.

im sure all of us that follow district 7-aaa know their is bball played outside of the boro, im just confident with the 4 district 7-aaa has. 3 of the 4 teams from district 7 have at least 20 wins(riverdale, siegel, oakland)and the one that doesnt has 19 wins(lebanon) to me, i think lebanon-shelbyville will the most exciting with the way those 2 teams like to press

in my opinion, siegel and columbia win, maybe not easily but win. oakland more than likely wins although coffee can present problems if they play well. that is always a big question with them. they played extremely well in their upset over franklin co and the consolation game, but not very well in the semis against shelbyville. lebanon and shelbyville as the closest and toughest to call, but i think shelbyville can win this one at home. i can see both districts having 2 wins, but 7-aaa could take 3. they won't take 4 and district 8-aaa won't take more than 2.

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
