CPA vs. Houston County

CPA will win this one b/c of a guy named Peter Carroll who has been playing like Michael Jordan in the Bulls era. Along with his stellar play, Zach Ferrell and Hobgood will reign 3's all day on HC'S 2-3 zone. If CPA gets on a roll early, this could turn into an old-fashioned woodshed beating in which Houston County plays the role of the red-headed stepchild.

It looks like HC and CPA mirror each other in their wins and losses. HC lost two to a very tough Waverly team, beaten McEwen, had close games with teams not very good and beat some very good teams. Bell is a very good shooter and Woodcock, Warren and Gordon add a lot of size to the lineup. CPA has been up and down all season and their key is if they can play as a team and move the ball around and take good shots. They had some quality wins but made some mediocre teams looks good.

CPA took it 68-60 in a close game. Houston County came out strong, up 19-8 at one point, but CPA turned up the D and went on a 20-4 run to end the half up by 5. Houston County made a comeback, and led by 4 w/ I think about 5 minutes to go in the game. CPA again started hitting their shots and playing good D and won the game 68-60. Sikes had 28 and Hobgood had 17. I was really impressed with #14 and #44 of Houston County. congrats to both teams on a well-played game, cpa plays east robertson at 8:30 tomorrow for a trip to the sub-state. GO LIONS!!!!!
