father ryan has to either play bga or briercrest tomorrow. they have beat bga already this year but i am not sure about briercrest? are they as good as bga or what? i guess we will know by tonight when they play. i hope ryan gets back to the finals to play ba and maybe pull it out. ryan doesnt need to overlook their next opponent and look to ba or they will be done. bontrager is a great coach and should have his boys prepared to play. i believe DII state finals are BA vs FRHS. what does everyone else think???

I agree, because the great group of seniors leading the Ryan crew wan't it so badly. I think they come out great tomorrow nite, and earn the right to play B.A. again, but it won't be easy. I know BA is a great team, but I think it will tough for BA to pull off four straight wins over Father Ryan.

After seeing BGA/Briarcrest, I think FRHS will take Briarcrest in the semi-final.

As a BA fan, I would prefer not to see FRHS a 4th time.

    • I have no idea who your team is, but Memphis and other Shelby Co. schools have hardly made a dent, if you’re talking Game 15 appearances. Outside of a couple by Whitehaven, I can’t recall the last team in a final.
    • Robbed you guy at a chance of 3 state championships. You never kne, sond best team in the west my have beat you also, but you sure deserved the chance to play um.
    • Eagleville also loses Brown the catcher, Lamb CF, Mclemore RF (Heck of an athlete) and Drew the 1st baseman. They will be young.
    • Good thing we aren’t in Florida then huh? It would benefit a ton of the smaller schools  that don’t have the pools of kids to choose from! They should start by policing Shelby County like they do the rest of the state! Something has to change though and TSSAA knows that!
    • Correct, you can whimsically be fired in coaching. A coach that has tenure can stay on as a teacher if released from coaching. If you don’t have tenure as a teacher, you can fired without cause. Your last year as a teacher before tenure is earned you can be fired, but must be given cause. A tenured teacher can be fired, but it is a long hard process requiring the 3 D’s…. documentation, documentation and documentation. I have released 3 tenured teachers, 2 with PHD’s. However, teacher contracts had and still have clauses that state you can be fired for a variety reasons re: being arrested, public drunkenness, inappropriate relationships ect.
