CPA vs. Westmoreland

My new friend, ptguard12, who incidentally does great work with his weekly rankings, sorta laughed off CPA (cough cough) when referring to Unaka's soft schedule. :o

Kenneth Chambers, Unaka's coach, said he felt that CPA had a "very good basketball team." We're just honored to have played a FINAL FOUR TEAM, THE LADY LIONS!

Congratulations to CPA. Also, Congratulations to Westmoreland for a very good season.

And FBGIRL, Do you have a relative or friend who plays for the Lady Lions?

PTGUARD12 is still correct. Your team still does not belong at the state. Your team would have had more losses than CPA if you would had their schedule

My prediction was right. Of course CPA won. Now its time to hoop it up against Peabody. Westmoreland played a good game, but it was just destined for CPA to win. What about B. Lee with 26 points, 9 rebouds, and 6 blocked shots?!?!?!

"CPA is on the road to victory with help from the fabulous game plans of head coach Scott Oatsvall and assistant Carlee Brian!"

Krich,

I'll stick to my original observation of CPA. They were, and still are, an average ball club. However, they have found ways to win and have played some very above average ball since the District tournament (tournament time always brings out the very best in teams). Yes, it can be argued that of all the teams in the state tournament, they possibly had the easiest route to the 'Boro (Davidson Academy was not as good as their record indicated). However, I will give the Lady Lions their just dues, they have won the games that they have needed to win in order to survive and advance, and they are to be congratulated on that. The winning, however, stops on Friday. If I were a betting person, I would bet my entire life savings on it. Good luck to them against Peabody--they are going to need it.

Thanks, briank, you're a class act. Maybe you took my compliment to CPA, and fun with ptguard the wrong way. I think the fact that they had such a great game in their one-point loss against Unaka was a sign that they might be a little better than many had thought. But, your Unaka put-down aside, I'm still very happy for the CPA Ladies. I hope they can win it all; and I'd love to see them play Coach Chambers' Lady Rangers again next season; it was a tremendous game.

And ptguard, I have to agree; their work is surely cut out for them; but it's truly an outstanding accomplishment, no matter the opponent, making THE FINAL FOUR.

GOOD LUCK, LADY LIONS.

Absolutely amazing. What an improvement. A young CPA team has gone from #4 in their District to the final four of the state!  Congrats to the Lions and I already can't wait for next year's battles between the equally young DCA and CPA for District 9.

Sorry dude, but neither CPA or DCA will be in district 9A next year. In fact they will be in different AA regions due to the 1.8 multiplier. DCA and Goodpasture were moved together. CPA, Ezell, FRA will go the other direction.

The easiest road to the state is by way of East Tennessee. Next, would playing the Chattanooga area teams. CPA's district has to play your fine district in the

sectionals (normally, you do not consider that easy).

Your welcome. You demanded respect all year and we heard it week after week.

Most of us know the truth but you kept throwing it in our faces. Most of us were tired of hearing your limited knowledge on the subject and ptguard12 stated the

facts to you. Unaka won many games this year and somehow CPA's victory makes you feel better. Good! It still does not hide the facts.............

no offense to cpa or westmoreland, but how did these 2 teams make it to state? i watched all 6 games yesterday and i can say without hesitation that this was the sloppiest game of the day. i'm not taking anything away from cpa, but i hope y'all just had an 'off' nite. if u want to keep the peabody game close you'll have to play a lot better than you did yesterday. anyways, congratulations on making it to the 'buro and good luck friday.

i'm out...
