khopkins
MLK makes it tow for District 8AA in the semi-finals. Sounded like a classic by Doc Shelton and his Royal Knights!
Guest catfish-hunter
Just by looking at Haywood's schedule this year, it is plainly obvious that they have plenty of firepower on the offensive end of the court. The Tomcats average right at 77 points per game. They have outscored the likes of Mitchell, Fayette Ware, and Jackson North Side. They lost the first game to Bolivar in a high scoring affair, but the second loss to Bolivar was more of a grind it out type of game. That is exactly what MLK is gonna try to do in this one. The Royals are a team that tries to control the tempo of the game. That means that they want for this game to reach no higher than 50 points, which is exactly the opposite of what Haywood has been doing all year long. The Royals did that to Bolivar last year in the semifinal classic matchup, but the leadership of Kemp, Becton, Walker, and Lake proved to be too much in the end. That is exactly what Haywood needs to win this game. If the Tomcats start forcing the issue and jacking up wild shots, then they be down by 10 early. That is what makes Doc's MLK team so good. They execute offensively when they get a lead and a 10 point lead for MLK is like having a 25 point lead for most teams. Johnny Lee makes great decisions as the floor general for the Royals and he rarely if ever takes bad shots. I think that the unique style of MLK will confuse the high octane Tomcats, thus they will be slowed down drastically. MLK will win this game by around 5-6 and Haywood will not hit 60-points in the game thumb 825618588[/snapback] Did I call it or what folks???
