TN Wrestling Coach's Poll for Week of 15 December

TENNESSEE HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING POLL

THIS IS THE SECOND POLL OF THE SEASON. 

Now in its 32nd year, The Poll is primarily a measure of dual meet strength with some consideration to individual tournament strength.   Votes are cast by a state-wide panel of high school wrestling coaches and are based on a maximum Power Ranking of 132.

STATE POLL:

ALSO RECEIVING VOTES: BRENTWOOD,MBA,RAVENWOOD,SCIENCE HILL,SIGNAL MOUNTAIN,SODDY-DAISY,TULLAHOMA

Whoever is a voter for this, mine as well hang it up! Longest wrestling poll in the state maybe needs new blood or needs to be laid to rest! This one might be one of the worst polls I’ve seen them do in a very long time. Even in honorable mention Soddy behind both Ravenwood who they beat(while also missing 2 wrestlers) and if giving so much credence to non dual meets, Brentwood ahead of Soddy while Soddy beat them pretty badly last week in Huntsville. So gave credence to traditional but not all the way around since Nolensville was missing 1 wrestler and finished 9th at McCallie behind both CBHS and Lakeway.  I’m still not sure how people vote in this poll.

All valid points and hard to argue with.

Aside from that, I love this poll. 

It’s a poll. Doesn’t matter. It has no effect on anything.

Did you damage your drywall when you hung yours up?

The polls will work themselves out. It’s early and I’m sure there will be a lot of movement.

Yes, it did damage the wall when hung up. Whoever they have picked to vote on this should do the same. It’s not all that hard to take a little bit of time and look at results. 
 

yes CHS, these results will work themselves out. But heck if you are going to do something try and do it right the first time. No rhyme or reason for the results of this poll.

I have been surprised by some outcomes based on previous polls. Not sure if the polls are more off because of weight movement or missing kids or incoming freshman or what. I would think that in the next couple weeks things would be more clear though.
