CoachT's Personal Plan to Help His School in 2020-2021
So, TN high school football is now a go for August 21! If you didn't know and need details go to my website, CoachT.com
My personal plan to help fund my high school program (Lawrence County where I played, graduated, and then taught for 33 years) during this season: tomorrow I will call the school and buy 2 season tickets, neither of which I plan to use. I am too busy with the website and am a prime candidate for COVID-19 for many health reasons. I am not a tax expert, by any means, but I would think this would qualify for a tax deduction.
I will tell the school to mark my tickets as SC for social-distancing and use these tickets for that. It takes a lot of revenue to fund a football program plus the funding that other sports count on from football. If any fans that can't go this year would do the same then it will help cover the costs.
But, believe me, I will be very busy every Friday this season...just like I have since 1997!
