Spring practice starts today for Jeff County.  They have a new head coach (Spencer Riley) and will have a new offensive coordinator and possibly a few other staff changes that I'm not sure about right now.  They will also have a new starting quarterback.

I recall that they were a senior heavy team last year. Wasn't Sumare a senior? He was ya'lls biggest playmaker in my opinion.

Soumare is a senior.  He signed with to play football at Austin Peay next year.  He was a big playmaker for us as was Noah Carter.  He signed to play at Berry College.

Jefferson County will be rebuilding this year. Not having a coach in place until May would hurt any team. They graduated a lot too.

Jefferson County is having a blue and red scrimmage tomorrow night.  Looking forward to seeing how the new offense looks.

Looks like Jefferson County needs to replace or rewire their lights on the football field according to the WBIR News this evening or they won't be allowed to be turned on. Think we may need to bring some extra flashlights when we come up there to play this year.

That's our strategy this year.  We are playing in the dark and we will have booby traps placed throughout the field.

Well the roof fell in one summer and the news made it sound like there would be a big fireworks display if someone turns on the lights. No wonder the head coach got out of dodge. What else is going to happen up there. I can't understand how modern wiring from the seventies would be so shot and dangerous. The news made it sound like the place was wired with the old Knob and tube wiring from the twenties.

One of the light towers did short out during a game last year.  I can't remember which game but it was the week we had heavy storms and lightning delays.  When they tried to fix it the pole was full of straw.
