  1. It is at 6. The players are to leave at 4.
  2. Greenback was supposed to wrestle AE and Sevier County, not Heritage. Seveir County didn't show up. Greenback only weighed in seven guys. Guys are still trying to get down to weight. Greenback will be tough at full strength. They will have four returning state qualifiers in the line up. Brooks Talley led Keegan Matlock and got caught at 160, and Aaron Clark wrestled Teaster tough at 130. They have a guy for every weight that is decently tough. They just need time to recover from the coaching changes. Don't count them out yet. I just have one question for the self proclaimed "Animal". Why don't you make this article about Heritage being up instead of Greenback being down? Jerry Teaster has done a heck of a job building that program up and has three legit contenders. Hasn't your beloved Halls ever fallen on hard times at different points in its history? Just want to keep things positive. Every program has it's ups and downs. I think Heritage's up year should be noticed instead of Greenback's possible down year.
  3. Can anyone post the 4 state qualifiers in order from these two regions? I have the rest. Thanks

  6. The real score was 42-30. Greenback lost a team point to excessive celebration.

  8. This is really sad news. I have had the pleasure of knowing Larry for a long time. He has worked many games for me through the years in basketball and football. My condolences to his family. Bill Satterfield
  9. Even though you have teams with losing records right now making the playoffs, it is still far better than it used to be when you had only two teams fro m each district going a lot of great football teams had to stay at home. So we have some schools with less than sterling records, it still ensures that more teams that should be in the playoffs actually get to go. You take care of business in the district that you are assigned and you go to the playoffs. Traveling all over the state for the sake of some teams to get in the playoffs is not practical or cost effective for most of the schools.
  10. Doing all of those things comes much easier if you are on a winning team or in a program that has a strong tradition. It does speak volumes of those young men that happen not be at a maryville or central type program; But instead find themselves in a program trying to turn it around, giving that extra effort day in and day out and on Friday nights. It is hard to do in the face of defeat each week. For many it is easier to quit or transfer to another program than to stick it out and try to turn it around.
  11. How about Tennessee Military Academy in Sweetwater, and Ketron in upper East Tennessee.
  12. 1. Maryville 2. Alcoa 3. Oak Ridge 4. Central 5. Austin East 6. Fulton
