  1. Thanks. I'm afraid the Warriors have run into a buzz saw tonight. Goodpasture's QB is playing like a D1 prospect (don't know if he is or not, but he's got a cannon and wheels) and it isn't looking like CAK's stout defense can slow him down.
  2. It's a sad situation for all affected by it.
  3. Things aren't always as they seem. And the record this year was the 2nd best in his 4 years at Grace. Same regular season record (8-2) as the best year (2019), just didn't make it as far into the playoffs before elimination this year.
  4. The sheep will be well protected. Good luck!
  5. Where did Booger Jr. decide to go?
  6. That's cool! He would make a good Wildcat. But it gets COLD in the 'burbs of Chicago!
  7. Interesting...so, I still don't have a clue whether there's an east all-region team or not. Your comment about not needing "second team" this or that is great and I agree with that sentiment. My point is I haven't seen any publication in the local newspaper or the twitter-verse or anywhere else of an east all-region list. Virtually every other classification and region in the state has had one published. Have you seen one for the east, and, if so, where? Other than on the Haslam school's head honcho's napkin. I don't travel in circles that would make me privy to the head honcho's napkin.
  8. Booger usually knows stuff that others not so knowledgeable don't know, so I'll take your word for it. The Knoxville newspaper has really gone WAY downhill in what they report about high school sports. Hopefully Booger has better news outlets than we do here in K'town!
  9. That's interesting. As far as I can tell, every other division, etc. throughout the state has announced their all-regions, some of them quite some time ago now. Any idea why it's taking Division II--AA east so long?
  10. I never saw an all-region posted for Division II--AA. Anybody seen it posted somewhere?
  11. Agreed. There were some very good players on the teams in the bottom of the East this year who likely won't get recognized as all-region because their teams struggled and there are only a limited number of spots on all-region.
  12. Typically the All-Region awards are done by giving each team a specific number of spots based on its place in the final standings. The team that won the district gets x number of All-Region picks, the team that finished second gets x-1 (or some other number), the team that finished third gets x-2, and so on. So, the team that won the district will by definition get the greatest number of all-region players. The team that finished last will get significantly fewer. I'm not saying that's right, but that's how they do it. Good luck to the Irish this weekend.
  13. Wow. I missed that part of the game when I was trying to watch some online. A friend who knows the family just showed me a clip of the play. Clearly an illegal cut block outside the box and I'm shocked it didn't draw a flag since it was right in front of the ball so at least 2-3 officials should have seen it. The young man who did it seemed pretty happy with himself too after the play.
  14. On that we can agree. And congrats to the Rams on a very nice season. Lots of good players on that team.
