TSSAA Network to Feature Seven Live Second Round Football Playoff Games
Hermitage, TN (November 10, 2011) - The excitement of Tennessee's high school football playoffs continues this weekend and fans will have access to more games than ever before, thanks to the TSSAA Network's School Broadcast Program. This Friday night, an unprecedented seven games will be streamed LIVE on TSSAANetwork.com and available later on demand (www.TSSAANetwork.com/footballplayoffs).
"Football playoffs are an exciting time in Tennessee," said Mark Rothberg, Director of PlayOn's School Broadcast Program. "Adding to the excitement this year are eight student-led productions of their school's games, providing these teams and schools with a tremendous opportunity for exposure."
The TSSAA Network's School Broadcast Program is part of the partnership between the TSSAA and PlayOn! Sports. The School Broadcast Program allows participating schools in Tennessee to produce and broadcast TV-like events for live and on demand viewing via the TSSAA Network video portal at www.TSSAANetwork.com. Each school has an individual branded video portal that allows students to produce and distribute high quality events throughout the year including regular season sports, graduation, concerts, news programs, and other school activities. Each broadcast boasts TV-like features, including graphic overlays, scoring, sponsor graphics, and video commercial breaks.
More than 26 Tennessee high schools currently participate in the School Broadcast Program.
