  1. What would the playoff quadrant seedings look like if preference was given to district finish and district winners/runners-up? Just take a look at our Playoff Seeding Worksheet! View Playoff Seeding Worksheet Download as Excel Spreadsheet We also have included a chart that is based on a formula which blends a team's total wins and schedule strength into the same number. This allows teams with fewer overall wins to break into the next higher "tier" of teams if their schedule strength warrants it. The included formula -- total wins+((opponents wins/10)*0.75) -- dilutes the schedule strength by an adjustable factor. Download the Excel spreadsheet and try it yourself. The tabs at the top of the screen allow you to switch between rankings.
  2. Selectable color schemes for the message board is now a new feature available to all our Plus members. When logged in, Plus members should see a color selector at the bottom of each message board page (small colored squares). Click one of the boxes to set it as the active color scheme. The color selection is remembered by your browser, so even after you logout the color scheme will remain the same. The color selection will not follow you from browser to browser or from computer to computer, so you can select different colors for different computers. We are conducting a survey to select the next color to make available. Check the Plus Open Discussion forum to vote in the poll. Not a Plus member? Become one today.
  3. For those voting for selectable board colors, we have added that option to the message boards. Current Plus members will see a menu at the bottom of each page for selecting between any of our three currently available color schemes. There is a poll in the Plus member Open Discussion area where you can vote on the next colors to be added. Become a member today ($24 per year) by clicking Subscriptions at the top of the page or visit our CoachT Plus page. If you haven't voted in this topic's poll yet, go ahead!
  4. Published predictions: http://www.coacht.co...e.cfm?id=185270 The addition of Union City and Bruceton to the 1A series caused more adjustments to the quadrants than anticipated. Class 2A was right on the money, but no teams moved in or out of the alignment from Week 9 to Week 10. A mistake on our calculation for Manassas mucked up Quadrant 4 of the 3A alignment. That knocked Chattanooga Christian out and moved CPA east to quad 3. In 4A, they sent Red Bank west to quad 2. Scott County moved to quad 1 giving Chat. Central a five seed. A sorting error on my part gives Marshall County a spot, leaving Haywood County out. In 5A, my description doesn't match the chart. It's getting REALLY late at this point. If the chart reflected my description it would match the TSSAA bracket (swapping Catholic and Anderson County). That one change makes a big difference in quad 1. Otherwise, 5A is spot on. In 6A, I thought about moving Riverdale to quad 3, but Blackman was a little closer (by just a mile or two). The 6A alignment was right on. A good effort, but like we learned last year, it's not something you want to be doing at 2 AM. In the future, if fans would help add the results of the "out-of-state" games to the site each week we could easily produce a real-time seeding/wildcard chart from Week 1 on. Might lead to fewer questions at Week 10. Or not.
  5. You are correct, must have skipped a line while doing the updating. It's been corrected.
  6. Look to the fourth criteria in the seeding formula: number of wins by opponents. Also, earlier news reports made it sound like they were going to spend tonight gathering all the scores (out-of-states included). They may have postponed that until the morning so that they'll be easier to find.
  7. To clarify on the mobile apps... A native mobile app would only be for the message boards and only for iPhone for the time being. The app would be provided by the makers of the message board software and we would allow only Plus members to receive the Push Notifications. They say an Android app is in development, but it has not yet been released. There will be no version for the Blackberry. The message boards provide a nice mobile interface accessible by all smartphones (you can even post), and we went live last week with upgrades to the rest of the mobile interface for scores and schedules. You can access that at http://m.coacht.com/, free to all. Please continue to vote in the poll. Plus memberships are $24 per year and you can sign up here -- http://www.coacht.co...p=subscriptions
  8. UPDATE 10/31: Selectable board color schemes are now available. Happy Halloween! UPDATE 11/3: We're currently testing a Facebook-style chat application. Please log in and try it out. We're looking at some new features to add for our Plus members and have listed some possibilities here in this poll. If you're not currently a Plus member, take a look at what we have now and let us know if anything in the list above would spark you to take that next step. You can vote for more than one, but try to keep your selection to two or three options so that we can better judge what has the most interest. If you have any questions, let us know!
  9. Any #AWS users needing a quick tutorial on getting an ELB w/SSL going, look no further -- http://goo.gl/vKOA

  10. What does viewing a profile have to do with anything? The points are logged and viewable by administrators in case there is any "foul play" as you say.
  11. The feature works fine. The number next to the +/- controls on each post notes how well the individual post was received. Your overall reputation score is listed in your profile, where it should be. Plus members get four positive and one negative point to give per day. All other members are limited to two positive points per day, no negatives. You likely received the quota message because you are a regular member who cannot negatively affect someone's reputation. I wouldn't over-think it too much. There is no repercussion for having a low reputation and no benefit of having a high one. The feature reminds me a lot of what some members might remember as "Good Marks."
  12. You are correct. Read topic information is stored by the browser.

    Blackberry's

The only thing I can think for you to try is to disable the extra options like Javascript and style sheet support and see if it's not being caused by any "supporting" files your phone is trying to load. Most of the time, a time out error is a problem on the client end where the browser loses the connection (ot thinks it has lost the connection) with the server. It's more common with wireless connections and reported to the user differently depending on the browser.

    Mobile Boards

Very slim. A few quick changes to the default Blackberry browser settings will meet most of your needs. To maximize compatibility, go to BlackBerry Browser -> Options -> Browser Configuration. Scroll down and turn on ALL checkboxes. Then Save. If you don't want to check all the boxes, at least enable support for Javascript, HTML tables, foreground/background colors and images, embedded media and stylesheets. That will improve your experience significantly. Also experiment with setting your default view to "page" instead of "column."
  15. Gameday Hero is really catching on thanks to @twilio and @flex ... http://bit.ly/bTRuX9

  16. If you want to include a picture in your post it will have to be hosted somewhere. This Google search might help you find service to use. We currently have the signature options disabled for everyone but Plus members.
  17. Sorry for the padding bug in that @pusherapp CFC, @bennadel. That sig string really got me. Ruby converts /n to line feeds, CF doesn't.

  18. Let me know how the new game/schedule forms are working out for you. I'm still working on the rosters.
  19. I'm working on it. You'll have an entirely new form in a day or two. Should be worth the wait.

    Mobile Boards

The boards now have a new interface for viewing on an iPhone or Android device (Droid). Point your mobile browser at http://www.coacht.com/boards/ and the server will automatically detect your device and load the mobile version. Unlike before, you can now create new posts, search and view the latest posts. Switch to it anytime by choosing "IP.Board Mobile" from the drop-down box at the bottom of the page. We'll be adding a link to the boards soon on the main "mobile" site at http://m.coacht.com/.
  21. With our recent upgrades, you are now able to link your CoachT.com profile to your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts. This gives you one-click logins (by clicking the Facebook or Twitter icons on the login form) and the ability to publish status updates from your CoachT.com profile to Facebook/Twitter. Plus members can import updates from Facebook/Twitter into their CoachT.com profile. An option is also available for setting your Facebook/Twitter profile picture as your CoachT.com avatar or profile picture. Linking the Accounts If you already have a CoachT.com account, login as usual then visit your profile page and click the "Edit Profile" button. Your profile is available from the drop-down box in the upper right corner where your username is displayed, or click here. Click the "Profile" tab and click the Manage Facebook/Twitter Connect tabs. Follow the instructions to link the accounts. Once the account is linked you will see additional options for importing/publishing content between your profiles. You can always return here later to change your settings. New Accounts When creating an account for the first time, you can begin the registration process by logging in using Facebook or Twitter. The site will then walk you through selecting a CoachT.com username. You'll be up and running in no time!
  22. CoachT.com now intergrates with Twitter and Facebook!
