84 is the number I was told.

I understand that Darby was at DE today ! The transfer kid from fla. was at one DT and and stewart at the other and Whitt at the other DE. Allen, Krauss and I believe Cook at LB. Grindstaff. Mason, Frank and I think Moore at DB. This is what I was told.

I am just sitting back and waiting for August 1st so I can ease on over the hill to Dumplin Valley to see how my Patriots match against the the Rebels from Sullivan South. I think it will be a big test since they return almost everyone. I think they will miss their QB from last year, since he will try to make a name for himself in Badger land. I think they return 8 or 9 starters from their offense from a year ago, so they could be loaded. Anyway, GO BLUE!! I am ready for another season and the expectations seem to be high.

Good for Darby !! Competition is a good thing. If Darby can beat McFall out at QB and put McFall back at RB, all the better, if Darby is as fast as it may seem. JCTWP, what about the O-Linemen? Didn't JC lose the entire line to graduation?

As far as I know McFall is the man at QB !

I give this name because he is a tranfer from out of state, but I like what I see of AJ Manning. He has played on the OL, at TE and at DE. Lets see how he does in the scrimmages.

It was a cold day today at Jefferson County high school, but roughly 115 varsity players, with more on the way, dressed out today to get an early start on the 2008 season. There is another 35 to 40 players yet to get their physicals and all the other important stuff. With that many players coming out for football, surely JCHS can have 100-110 players by the first game. Things are looking good for JCHS football ! GO BIG BLUE !!

Spring practice, this year its springtime on January 24th or 25th, is upon us !! We scrimmage Maryville I think the 8th and Knox West. I also understand that at the start of winter workouts we had 105. Coach Anderson put a signup sheet for workouts and there were 48 more names. When does spring baseball practice start? Will this interfere with, say, Mcfall's transition to QB since he needs to take as many or all the snaps at QB during spring or winter practice or whatever you call it this year. Gut will have to rebuild the entire OL next year, so the backups and Soph to be need to be at every practice. Is Football every players main sport or not ? Lets hear from the Patriot nation !!
