  2. FYI: You aren't penalized a "lost player" on a doulble yellow/soft red.
  3. Tried to send you a personal message, but guess you're not sighed up. If you will join and validate yourself, I have it saved. Just wanted to talk "off the air". Your call. LOL
  4. Thanks for the update, maybe a vision for the future. P. S. I was there too. Sorry to mess with you.
  5. Were you there......what were the details......I don't think st. agnes JV has ever beaten collierville???

Agree on the tough schedule last year, but I think Hutch played the same teams as all the others did. As far as the "cupcake" comment, look at where the W's came from. Real issue is who will "step up" this season. Several teams can and several have lost key players. Overall the playing field is more lever, except for St. George's who probably has the best returning group. Don't count ECS out either. May be the year of who has the best NEW talent. Rumor is that one of the players mentioned earlier is not going to play. I know she got hurt snowboarding and talk of going for cheer squad instead of soccer. What do you hear??????

  9. Now that it is over, it was fun reading through this original thread.
  10. WOW....I think you were perfect on your predicions.
  11. Hope BGA keep their rooms for tonight. Bet it will be a cold one. Upset was not intended as is sounds, only everyone was painting the end zones with Baylor and St. Agnes, before the games were played. To your point they all had a 25 % chance and the two remaining have a 50% chance. Better than Vegas. Hope they both stay healthly and play the quality games they are capable of. Wonder if the record holds if the game goes to OT or PK, as if it is based on regulation time. Don't know how to surf TSSAA to see the records. Tried, but failed.
  12. Good Call... now what about BGA - SAA???
  13. Looks like all you formidable pontificators have all your $$$$ on the Baylor - SAA game. Shoud BGA and Brentwood just surrender?????? I think both SAA and Baylor would rather set up the field for the finals without having to go through the battles they are going to fight tonight. Any chance of an upset??? Remember the better team does not always win.
  14. SAA scores 10 seconds in....goal 2 15 minutes in.
  15. Would those of you fortunate to see the games posts results only. Thanks
  16. ODP is just another item for the resume. Great for some, unimportant for others. I don't think you'll ever see a college player who got there because of ODP as their only participation. Its just a part (everyone can determine the importnce of that part) of the overall package. As far as D1 or D2, a player can be pretty good in HS and club and get a lot of bench time in D1 OR be pretty good in HS and club and get a lot of playing time in D2. It should be about the educational opps. and not an extention for "soccer parents" to have four more years of game time. I watched Miss. play Notre Dame and saw very few subs. It was an eye opener for a parent of a sophomor who may never play college, but has been seen by several when playing up 3 yrs. and having the coaches ask for her resume', only to find out she was 14. Many are hungry for players and there is room for all who really have it in their gut after HS. Most of our girls have a better chance at being an astronant than a career in soccer. It seems sooooo important now, but how will you feel in 10 years??? AND, other than the "sport" of debate that we all enjoy here, why do so many feathers get ruffled. Looks like a public place where mostly parents can hide behind made up names and throw their complaints up and see if they stick. Like "cakes" and "flash" .... they could be one in the same and we all get stunk in. Too bad Lucy reruns are not on cable now so we could have some quality down time, but who am I, as I have become of the CoachT published.
  17. fevercoach. This is extemely helpfuf. One part you missed is that many of us don't know hwo you guys are, so we can't tell what the georaphic boundrys are. if you will go to the beginning of the "debate forum" you will see Kelly dyer mentioned by someone from Tullohoma, i think, so I was just throwing the hat back in the ring. Also you missed my questioning the call letters you guys use for teams like, CAK and SHS and CNA, I don't know who they are. Maybe I should just read and not enter the debate if the subject is limited to "mid tn". I would love for you to give me your other key points for the other positions, this is great info for me as a a parent of a player, for players themselves, who don't get that kind of real imput from their coach and for coaches as well who may not have their thought as well organized. thanks for your relpy. PS who is the fever??
  18. This thread started out as "who's the best" and now it has turned into another BASH THE PLAYER routine. This was going on a few days ago and turned nasty. I don't really know any of the girls you guys argue about, but I don't find it entertaining or beneficial to bringing up the level of soccer in TN. What's worse is that it appears several of you are coachs and that disappoints me as a players parent even more. I've alway heard if you don't have anything nice to say, say nothing at all. Mess with each other on why your team is better than my team or we played better on that day, but why let players see your negative thoughts on the web. Even the player at MS State felt she had to defend herself from bashing. My gosh, she's a freshman and should be an example for others to look up to. As stated before, 10 players have not done their job before the keeper gets in the game. Since I don't know the girls on your list and live out west, I don't know their teams and wonder if they are all really "middle TN" players. If so great. If not, you need to add Kelly Dyer. Just google her name before you start bashing her. The NSCAA picked her in 2005 and I don't see anyother TN players on the list and she was all state according to Eurosports. I've seen her play and she certainly needs mentioning, if our goal is to stete the best. Maybe we'll have 20 great keepers by the time the list is compiled. P.S. I agree with the person who asked, " What school is SHS". Maybe some one could post a cheat sheet for us less informed.
