Man, I was hoping Kelly and Chris would win one for the road! Good luck Pats....you must be pretty darn good. Don't overlook anybody though. You all started a little slow against Northwest, possibly overlooking their improvement from the previous coach (the one that has moved on down to Woodbury). Vikings also played a great game Frdiay night and came away victorious against Dickson Co. With all the posts on this thread about the horn man, is there going to be HornT.com?? See yall next Friday. Feed these boys a good breakfast Saturday, hug em tight, and ask em' if they had fun playing the game.....it's really only just a game....a good one, but a game.

Go Springfield! I believe you've got a good game ahead of you. Northwest looked pretty darn good against them if they are ranked #1. Enjoy the game, they've got a pretty good "horn" section..

Family, friends, and school are in our prayers....hugging our children tighter, realizing they are gifts from God.

Most coaches do want to win, some know how to go towards their goal and others have no sense of direction. I'm glad he has moved on.

He is gone and I am glad. My personal feeling is he wants a smaller community type of school. But, be ready for him Cannon County. From what I've seen, he is not open to suggestions.

I LOVE Alabama high school football....been to several playoff games for Fyffe Red Devils....the whole town shuts down and the atmosphere for the game is wonderful. Last year I traveled about 5 hours to watch them in a state playoff game...It's awesome!

How you think yall will far against Northwest in opening scrimmage?? (I think that is still on?)..I know the coaches are buddies, but no slacking from the players when the game is on huh? Good luck on your way to State this year.

Great job Vikings...I think with that first half score, you proved to yourselves that you CAN compete...and Springfield utilized their halftime to come up with the correct adjustments to come back in and win the ballgame. I only wished that some of our fans had been over to their halftime huddle to hear their words of encouragement....I think we had 3 fans clap when the Vikings came back on for the second half...C'mon fans, you had positves and that's what you been complaning about, and you didn't even back your team when you had the perfect chance with Northwest 6 Springfield 0!!! Good luck to the YellowJackets...but I am still pulling for Kennwood Knights! Your band was awesome, reminded me of some of the Nashville bands......

Let me clarify my statement, "good practice" in reference to the Vikings only, no doubt you guys have had good practices all year.... and in saying "ultimately trimuph over bad or negative" again in reference to the Vikings only....we are having a tough year, but our team still deserve respect, and I am just offering some encourgement. so again, my comment was not directed to the Yellow Jackets...you guys have it going on!!! But, I am still about the GREEN and GOLD!! GO VIKINGS!!!! It's my side of town, my teenager's school, and I will stick with them no matter what..............how's that for a proud parent? In fact, earlier this evening, I was "debating" with my son over, of all things, homework...can somebody out there tell me why Algebra doesn't have a "Coach T.com forum" to discuss formulas and equations...why is that not as exciting???????

Good morning all....I think the game will be a good game. Northwest has had a great week of practice. Parents have been supportive. Coaches have coached. I praying for the upset. Northwest 21 Springfield 14 Now how 'bout that for some OPTIMISM (the belief that things ware continually getting better and that good will ultimately triumph over bad, or negative).... GO VIKINGS!!!

I congratulate the Springfield coach and team as well, a job well done!!.....it takes both coaches and players to compliment each other, .....Good luck in the final weeks of the season...but being from Clarksville, I am pulling for Kenwood Knights to go on to regional and state playoff games. A Northwest Viking fan (and not a fair- weather fan). I have a good feeling Friday night's game will be a good game, despite records....good luck to both teams!

I am a parent of a Nortwest player...and there were moments of good playin' last night...CHS has a great team and fantastic school spirit! Motivation from the crowd can help in a game as much as anything....Let's get up for it Nortwest fans, and stop all out complaining....think to yourself...."am I cheering for our team in their good moments, or just continuing to complain in their bad??" You know all the negative talk won't get any of us anywhere...that's been proven in history many times....Hug and High Five our players....it's a sport, we don't always win in a game and we don't always win in life.....so let's set up these boys for some positive feedback to stick with em' on down the line in life. Okay, enough already. Anyway, I am rootin' for Kenwood Knights all the way to state! GO KNIGHTS.. Thank you coaches for your countless hours and encouragement for our boys. I, for one, appreciate it. You're not perfect in what you do, but hey, I only know of one perfect Coach in my life, my lord, Jesus Christ.... I am pulling for the Northwest Vikings....I guess that what makes sports interesting, there is always the underdog....and as true sports fans, you all know that STRANGER things have happened. Can anyone recall any football games where that has happened???? GO VIKINGS!!

You are mistaken, I am a PROUD parent of a JV player. C'mon out and see a game, relax for a while, you seem a bit irritated.

As of this moment, I know of no coaches resigning any positions...hopefully all of the conflict will pull our team closer together. Thank you for keeping the young man in your prayers.

To the young man who played his heart out....keep on keepin' on, it will happen. To the bozo who is mentioning that he or she has diarrhea, or that he slept late, I will pray for you. Hope you get to feeling better...maybe you ought to take knitting or something that will help ease your pain....because you appear to have some! Keep that Viking pride up team, I promise you it will happen, I just hope our friend is feeling better so that he can attend our VICTORY party. He may ought to tune in on the JV and Freshman team for the Vikings and check out their records!!!

In reading all of the posts about Northwest....I can see one main reason why our team is not winning...it starts "at the house" and from some of the "manners" and non-support of a few of our parents, therein lies the answer!! TONIGHT'S SCORE....YOUNG MEN ON BOTH TEAMS AND ALL COACHES-WINNING PARENTS DOING THE COMPLAINING----LOSING Perhaps a few need to get their priorities straight before commenting on trival matters such as these. It is a sport, and a sport ONLY. On our football team just this week, we had a young man and his Mother involved in an accident. His Mother passed away. We should rally behind this young man, keeping him in our prayers. This is the real game of life.
