Murphy on to day 2. Finished. 6-1. Beat a Fargo Greco champ and the 5th place finisher at last years super 32

Tennessee hasn't faired very well. Murphy and Connell are still alive in the consos. Murphy lost his first match and has won several in a row. Connell just lost 14-0 I think but was his first loss I think. Debein lost a couple of close ones . Stevison went 1-2 losing 7-0 in his last one . Tate Robinson lost his first match in ot and had to injury default out of tournament. Westbrooks went 1-2 or 2-2 and is out. Sutherland out and went 2-2 losing to pa in overtime and Fargo 3 rd placer 5-3 in the last few seconds. Davis from McCallie out at 0-2. Simpson out at 2-2, lost a close one on a questionable call. I'm not sure about the bigger guys. I think Evans was. 0-1 last I saw losing a close one right at the end. Kennedy was 1-1 losing to the ohio state champ, I think Kramer was 1-1 last I saw.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Did you bother reading the article. It made my head hurt trying to make sense of it. I think it's more than embellishment. From what I know of Bray this would shock me.

He is finally healthy for the first time in years and eating everything in site and living in the weight room ! In all seriousness he probably wont wrestle 170 at the super32, I signed up at the last minute and didnt know what weight he wanted to go. He got up to 177 a few weeks ago but has cut down a little as of late. Although 152 and 160 is loaded so he might be have better luck being an undersized 170 lber, lol.

The problem is there are multiple school districts across the state and there is no set date for all to be on spring break at the same time. We also have to wait until the high school season is over. On top if that we have to wait until the middle schools that are members of the tmssaa finish their season before we can have the regional tournaments. In order to get done with the season before baseball gets into full swing this is the only weekend available unfortunately. With so many variables to try and plan around it will never be the perfect date for everyone.

A field goal from the three should be automatic. Running from the three has a much lower statistical chance than kicking from the three

I've seen them both and thought Zeman was faster that Miller. I didn't see tonight's game , maybe Central just played better tonight. I also think Polk has a much better team around Miller . Maybe it was the long grass on Marion's field that slowed him down. Did Central bust a bunch of big plays?

Guys, seeding would be great but honestly unless someone can take a week off of work it's not going to happen. There are over 60 weight classes. Not only that but with the 5 different age groups you would have to set up a whole list of criteria on which state champions and which weights and which age groups are given priority in the seeding process. To make it even harder is you can't even start the process until 8pm pm on Friday night once the weigh ins are complete. It simply isn't feasible . The rotational basis of separating region champs with the runner ups on the opposite side of the bracket is as close to perfect as we can get it. A true second may be an option but it would kind of mess up showcasing the finals and a parade of champions prior to the finals.

John, thanks for stepping up as always. Now you see what I have had to deal with all these years trying to put together the state team. The multiple age groups on one team really confuses people. I had an hour long argument with a tot parent about why his undefeated very large tot more than likely would not make the team over a very small junior . It was totally escaping his grasp that the novice was almost 5 years older and his tot would probably get hurt in a challenge match.

I just wanted to clarify. 6 th grade juniors are not eligible for the elementary duals.

The state tournament will be very similar. It is being held in a venue almost identical to the Ag Center in Franklin. We will have 14 mats going at once. All 5 age groups will be ran in one day as opposed to spreading it out. There will be two different sessions. With the added space and mats we are looking at several different options to spice it up. It should be a great event. The next day we will have a regional duals tournament for k-5th grade and one for middle school ages. Each region will put together an all star team and wrestle all the other regions in a round robin format.

Nope, there will be one state champ per age and weight groups. All 150+ teams competing all together as it should be.

Who is posted incorrectly so we can correct it? There were a couple of bout sheets that we incorrect we caught when copying the tssaa info

It's not being ran through track. They are running it the old way and volunteers are trying to copy the entire tournament as fast as possible for your convienence. The semis are being scored live and you can watch them on the dashboard
