I agree with you there KEV-O. Look at how the fans pep up to make more noise when it is 3rd down and trying to get the 1st down. NFL, college, high school or whatever, the more band or crowd support the better. That is why it is very good to have your crowd get in to it and show up to support their favorite team. The team should know what to do and the guys should know where that ball is without hearing the cadence of the QB. Eye contact!!!!! We were accused of this same thing last year when our band played louder at certain times. Hint, hint (THE TRAIN) at Forrest High School. Excuse me, but IF that be the case, you as CHRISTIANS should be praying for them not bashing them!!! YA THINK? It is amazing to think how the "christian based schools" treat others. They are usually the worst ones to travel to. Remember one thing, you , if you are a TRUE believer in Christ, used to be lost at one point in time. The Church folk have trully hurt what Christ really died for. We better start confessing our messes and do what 2 Chronicles 7:14 says. DUH, you must not read well or don't know how to reply correctly. I didn't say I called it a sport. I said they are just as athletic as any other sport out there. Of course, like others, it may not be as active as some, but it is as active as most. I could care less if they call it a sport or not. Your absolutly right. We do have differences of opinion, but don't get on here and say that band would lower the standard if it were called a sport. It takes more mentality to play band anyday than it does a lot of sports out there!!! They're not on a level anyway. One is just as good as the other.

Just figured I would start a different thread. I think the polls show that band is not a sport. Of course, really it is not, but I trully believe the band members are just as athletic as any sports player!!!

Yes sir, it has been exciting!! I'm glad you enjoy the band. You all work hard whether playing football, soccer, baseball, basketball, band, etc. I do have to agree, I enjoy the band a lot better. My wife was the cheerleading captain in high school too. Oh well, she would say the same. Have a blessed day!!!

Your comments are rediculous. So what you play, (soccer?) is not your hobby? Man, you have it all wrong. I did not say I consider it a sport. I said they are just as active as most other sports. Yes, even more active than running around a field kicking a ball. You normally don't stay in a full 40 minute game. They put in subs. They don't have sub band players. They are there the whole time playing in the stands and then the halftime show. Grant you, yes they do have some free time to take breaks. They also have some great competitions on the weekends they are playing in. The point I'm making is band is not just a geek thing. They are very active and ATHLETIC!!!!!!!!!
