I misunderstood your question I apologize, but Im sure coach should be thrilled with the execution of the O last friday night. Almost 400 yards of Offense should get this team rolling.

so what are you asking ? the play your talking about was pitched back to one of the backs that had those yards not the one that was hurt.

response on using the injured qb to run the ball in the game in my opinion is the lack of depth and experience on this team. Masingale when in ran well with a 4th down and 2 for a 1st down. coaches use who they will trust to make plays sometimes it works sometimes it dont.The refs were making some weird calls. Help me out how does the defense delay a game unless they are holding the ball or a player down.McMinn had to many players on defense so let cleveland snap the ball.Several questionable calls in this game but as a team they must learn to overcome calls that dont go their way. The Cherokee faithful should be proud of this team to come back and take the lead after spoting the raiders 14 points early in the game.

They only have 12 seniors, 7 or 8 really play. Their very young on the oline with 2 sr, 1jr and 2 soph.

this will be a better game than what is being suggested Mcminn has just as much speed as McCallie. If mcminns qb has any time to throw he will do some damage. the Cherokees defensive backfield will have to make some plays to give them a chance to win.

Both teams are very young after last years graduation. Central lost a great core of good players as well as Mcminn but the cherokees still have some real tallented players. I would give the edge to the black and gold with some tallent at QB and their recievers have good speed in the open field. Knowing coach Goodin though he will have his team fired up and ready no doubt.

I don't really remember you all bringing a huge crowd the first time, so I'm not expecting it this game. I'm hoping for a huge crowd, and the clear weather will hopefully help that. I'm prepared to sit through a blowout! You're better, we're better = same result Talked to a coach familiar w/ the MCHS program & his quote was, "there's a lot of quit in that team." That was pretty evident the first game & the Rebels need to capitalize early & knock the tribe out. I expect the game to be 24-7 at the half with Maryville putting it in cruise control to finish it out. Thanks for the locker room material we need all the help we can get! GO TRIBE WE BELIEVE!

I agree whole heartedly with this post. McMinn will have to execute to the fullest and get some short field opportunities (turnovers) to even have a chance. Our coaching staff is doing a great job this year but the rebels have way more experience than McMinns. Just my opinion that the cherokees have just as much tallent as Maryville or maybe a little more who knows but the coaching is where they will struggle in this game. no disrespect intented just is what it is. GOOD LUCK AND GO TRIBE !

What type of offense does Oak Ridge run and what base defense do they line up in under a new coaching staff? Who are some of the players we should watch for come friday night? McMinn stays in the spread on O and a base D of a 4 3 on the other side just like last year. These two teams have had some great battles in the last few years.

lets hope both teams bring their A game and no cheap a-- touchdowns for either team and the best team wins and I would like to see both make some big noise in the playoffs. I dont wont Mary to win it all this year.

tearing up what field ? that field was setup in that condition for a reason and it didnt work. that field was a mess before the game so dont make excuses like trying to keep Mcminn from messing that dairy farm up!

dont know about the win against cleveland when half the team is sick this week

just a football fan of neither team just went hoping to watch a great game. Both teams came out a little to high with the fumble by polk on a punt return ( result MC TD ) and the safety given up because central couldn't get the right personal on the field on the previous two plays. MC made to many mistake to win that game against anybody let lone polk. Polk was on the short side of the field about all of the second quarter because of MC 's mistakes or the refs bad calls who knows dont matter now. But what does matter is MC folded up their tents at that point and thats a fact and I wonder if the role were reversed would that heart and pride of polk that I keep hearing and reading about would have brought them out of that predictiment dont know? Just my thoughts and dont mean a thing but I do know that all High school teams have heart they have pride in games that are still in question till the end but, how many have it when every thing you do goes sour? Good luck to both teams on their future season ,that was just one game.

If McMinn can solve their special teams problems this will be a good game to watch. They will lineup with the rebels in every position fairly well. But of course the Rebels will have an advantage with the experience of their coaching staff. When's the last time Maryville lost a home game? McMinn will need to somehow slow down McCallies running game. try to put them in second and longs.If McCallie gets 5 and 6 yards on 1st down it could be a long night for the tribe.

First of all they need to learn how to play field position and quit going on 4th down on their side of the field. Three times they failed in the Central game (great job chargers). The defense was on the short side of the field all night. they need to pay more attention to special teams this week for certain. Except for penalities the defense played well, just guessing but Central couldnt have had much over 100 to 150 yds in offense. The goal line D was fun to watch!

# 7 had alot of emotion for this game. First it was a Central and McMinn rivalry that had been revived since 2004, yes his car got lit up with the foul jesters BIG DEAL! But he was also playing against two of his former coaches that are members of his family plus three other coaches on their staff are family. A 16 year old giving the throat slash after hearing he's on steriods from the crowd was clearly the wrong reaction but man he sure hit like he was!

There is sophs all over the field for McMinn. there is a LB,CB,Safety,WR,Punterand RB all starting friday night.

Both qbs may struggle with two solid defenses on the field friday night.

The Henry kid plus the middle lb Kris Harris are both out.

Should be a great crowd for this one. The atmosphere will be awsome!
