Wartburg Needs A new Leader, badly!

Talent, talent & talent . There is talent in Wartburg I’m telling you. The problem being they won’t play football. Look at all the basketball kids. Some of those kids don’t look like basketball players, but don’t want to get hurt. They need a coach that will come in make changes. Make it like schools like Loudon & Alcoa, if you don’t play football your not a MAN, mind set . There are kids at Loudon that isn’t very good football players and has a bright future in basketball, but they are playing football giving it there all.

If midway plays there best ball and Coal Hill plays there worst. Big upset!!

Not as of yet, but the topic is raging. He will ether resign or be released from coaching duties. He has been there like 12 years and has won something around 44 games? You do the MATH!

I’m sorry, but Larry Davis has lost all emotion of this game, and don’t you tell me Wartburg does not have talent. John T. Armes was one of the best Option QB’s in the state in 03, Jake Hawn, Seth George, Derek Daugherty, Damon Shaddon, Michael Willkie, Travis Nelson, Jay Moore, Joey Write, Ryan Hamm, Ryan Gunter, Jamie Gibson, Andrew Knight, Kyle Lamance, and Derek Sills & Chad Sills? That group of kids was VERY talented and if I am not mistaken most played together! Larry Davis used to love the game. From the last Three or Four Years he has lost it all! He doesn’t help his kids go to college, doesn’t help them at all. Back in the day Larry Davis was a good coach, but now he is not. What happens when a teacher, does not show results on his/her test? What Happens when a teacher acts like they don’t want to be there? Larry Davis needs to resign as Head Coach. Head Football Coach is more than just a football coach, a football player WILL NEVER forgets his coach. And when a coach acts the way Larry Davis does that ruins the kid’s memory. They will never for get the years they had in high school. Lets get a coach in there the kids can be proud of! And say, hey I played for HIM!!!

Did they beat Rockwood in the playoffs or what? Give an update please.

Then I doubt that any thing will change because Mike Davis is his brother in law, and Dallas Davis is really good friends with him.

If something is not done, kids will not keep coming out for football. And maybe they will not have a football team. That means no Big money for the school. One BIG football game will make more money than basketball will all year. Any updates on this situation?

We will see how good G-P is when they play Region 2aa. G-P is gone after the second Round.

Harriman has a lot more speed than Unaka. Also I think Unaka is out coached in this playoff game, with the likes of Tapp and Foster. Harriman 34 Unaka 12

Coach Justice shouldn’t have left Wartburg. I know that’s where he is from, but Head Coach is a lot better than Middle School Coach.

I have not heard any thing of yet. Also I believe Trout is a better fit at the middle school. They need a young guy to come in and take over. I hope it’s right away, so he can know what he is dealing with, meet the kids, Patch the Holes, Most of all get the moral up.

I agree, Trout is a good coach but not someone that could turn the program around. They need someone young. Also in my opion that need a different style coach that Trout. Does any one know what his record was at Wartburg?
