Congratulations to Lewis County on the upset victory.I don't think this was a fluke because GC has played with so much inconsistency this year. I'm not sure as to how true the rumors of Coach Holt leaving are, but I can say this he will not be pressured to step down. This is his team and he will go when he feels like it. Next season will be a little tougher for him because the talent is not going to be as great as in years past but they will be strong again in a couple of years, and many years after that. Coach Holt is a good coach, and it would not surprise me if he is able to get this team playing to the level that they are capable of by tourney time and get this team to make another surprising run to Murfreesboro as they did last season. Again congratulations to Lewis County on a big win.

WOW!!! What a game. When GC got off to a quick 14-0 lead early in the first quarter, it looked like it was going to be blowout city, but LC never gave up, though. Both teams struggled to maintain posession of the ball, causing this to be a low scoring game, but GC held on 14-13 to keep the cowbell at its rightful home. Good luck Cats next week vs. Cheatham County. Back-to-Back!!!!!

Well, congratulations to the Giles County Bobcats on a great season. No one here could have asked for a better season and we're all very proud of our Bobcats!!! I think this run the Bobcats made proves to everyone that the team can still compete even without Tyler Smith. Also, congratulations to Austin East. You guys played a great game and I wish you good luck throughout the rest of the state tournament. I am now very excited about next season because of the freshman GC is bringing up to replace the seniors and I strongly believe the Cats can make another run to the Boro next season and even win the state championship.

I'm going up there every day because Giles County WILL be playing all three days, but of course likely losing to Liberty Tech in the final. And the Benchmob is from Giles County.

The best baller in AA would have to be Z Mason from CPA or Devin Holt from Giles County. I can't really say how good Josh Slater is because he wasn't 100%, not even 80%, when DL played GC, but he still played ok.

You have got to be CRAZY!!!!!! Liberty Tech will most likely win state. Giles County poses the best threat to beat the Crusaders and they really don't have much of a chance there. Do yourself a favor, never say anything stupid like that again.

The "Bench Mob" of Giles County is the best in the state of TN, hands down.

This is rediculous.....i don't see how you think GC isn't king of the district. When was the last time anybody posed a very serious threat in the district???? Also, when was the last time someone from the district went to state 2x in 5 yrs.?!? Giles County is still the king of the district and it will remain that way for a very,very long time. Case closed!!!

They fought back from a 19 point deficit and cut it to 1, but the Cats just wanted it more. BC has a very good team and they will dominate next year. I was not aware Liberty Tech was moving to AAA. Nonetheless, BC will be very strong next year. And it's about time LT moves to AAA.

Giles County WILL win this one. They have a veteran team and many of its players were members of the local middle school team that won the James C. Haile Invitational four years ago, which at the time was the state championship for middle school, as 7th and 8th graders. They know what it takes to win the big games, plus they play like a team. Playing like a time instead of relying on one big man has gotten them this far, and I'm pretty confident that the run won't end now. With that being said, I agree that BC will be very good next year after getting experience in the sectionals as a very young team. They are serious contenders to knock off LT and win state. norespect, I understand that and I really don't know what I was thinking when I posted that... after I posted that I realized I shouldn't have and I meant to go back and say just kidding, but I forgot to. And i will say this, I will most likely be at the game on Monday and I, too, now have the confidence in our team to beat Bolivar, just as I had confidence in them to beat CPA and PC, I just wasn't sure if they could beat DL. I do now think we have the team to make a run to the state finals. Again, I'm sorry that I apologized for the actions of the Bench Mob, especially when I am not a major part of it.

This is to everybody @ GCHS...for the record, I never talked bad about GC. I simply said that I though DL MIGHT beat GC, but I was pulling for the bobcats. Also, I only said sorry about our student section because I was just trying to end the discussion of how "unclassy" our student section is, because that was not what the topic was about, it was about DL @ GC and I was trying to keep it that way. Now, you all probably know who I am by now, and if you want to take out revenge on me, then you can. I think it's kind of ridiculous you would do that, but if you really want to do it then so be it. I'm sorry that you thought I was trashing the team and the students, but I really wasn't.

GC by 7....they are playing their best basketball of the season and they want to come back home and host a sectional game for the first time in two years. Good luck to both teams.

DL and their fans just need to shut up now!!!The game is over and the fact is, GC dominated. Even if Slater was 100%, I'm not too sure that would have been enough for DL, because GC is that much better. We don't think we're gonna win state, heck, we'll be shocked if we beat CPA. But we still made it farther than DL. So quit your crying and just accept the fact that ya'll are done. GO CATS!!!

I have to admit, even as a student at GC an someone who sat in that section last night and someone who said all of the chants, our student section is terrible. The things that are started are uncalled for and shouldn't be acceptable, but the students in our student section just don't care. I apologize on the behalf of our student section to everyone that is offended by our chants. With that said, I do believe GC will beat CPA, and our student section is 95% likely to show up, so be prepared. GO CATS!!!

I'm taking GC by 3-7 points. From what I saw in the score, Spring Hill was able to keep it close, so that doesn't bold well for CPA against GC. GC blew out SH in both meetings this year, but we'll just have to wait 'til Tuesday to find out who wins this one. It should be a VERY exciting game and I wish good luck to both teams!!! GO CATS!!!
