  1. I hope so. I think a Team mate of mine had to pay last year, but it may have been changed. Or heck, Maybe our coaches are lieing to us so we be more careful... No clue, i just don't plan on one anyway.
  2. I was wondering if any of the CSAS guys saw the game, for a un-biased opinion. And thanks. A couple of our guys, i know #9 for sure, and i'm pretty sure #5, and #16, and our goal keeper will all be playing for Hiwasee College next year. So we are loosing alot of good guys, but i think we'll pull through.
  3. No offense to either team meant. I think Boyd COULD have a great chance. They came out and played us hard tuesday, and i think if they come out that hard Friday, they could be CSAS on a good day. But before our game Tues., we watched CSAS and Mcminn Central play. It was the worst I've ever saw CSAS play. I do not mean they stunk, but they could had played much better. Didn't seem like a 6-1 game. I think Art's will come to play, 4-1.
  4. As other's had said, it's hard to say what a red card's punishment should be. But whatever it is, it shouldn't be in concrete. Usually the second guy always gets caught. Anyone who has played a sport knows this. We had a guy get punched in the face this season, and the ref didn't even call a foul. I personnaly think that deserves punishment. But then last night, we had a player who often gets foul's called on him make a LEGAL slide tackle, and got a straight red. The kid (Chindit probly knows him, Collins) isn't rich at all. But now he has to pay a $250(?) dollar fine, for something nearly everyone called legal. What I'm trying to say is, inless their is a way for the foul to be verified, then there should be a SMALL fine, and SMALL punishment. I feel we lost last night, and our season ended, cause of that one questionable call. Not only did his season end, he may be punished next season, and has a huge fine. That is punishment enough for a questionable call. (Not dissing ref's at all.)
  5. Sequoyah 0-1 Boyd Buchanan. (extra time) Ended in extra time, and we were a man down after a (questionable) red card for about all but ten minutes of the second half and all of extra. We were also missing our coach, who HAD to take a buisness trip to Germany. But this ain't to take away from Boyd. Both of our teams played their heart out, including some injured players on our side. Both teams made good chances, they just put one of their's away. Seeing Sequoyah had been 3-10(?) and 3-6-2 in the last two years, for us to go 7-6-1 is awsome. It was nice, after the game we walked over and told the fans thanks, and they told us great job. And after the game while we were all circled up talking about the season, some parents came over and kept complimenting us. It was a fun season, and with all of our Defense coming back next year, and 6+ jr's returning, and more then 3 or 4 sophmore's returning, next year maybe a great season. Best of luck to CSAS and Boyd. CSAS seems to be a very classy and good team. And boyd is a very good and, with the exception of one player, seems to be classy also. best of luck.
  6. Sweetwater 3-2. Then they got CSAS. Have fun with that one. (no offense to tellico, but im confident CSAS has that one also.) Boyd and Grace, and SQhs Vs. Silverdale also in this district. SQHS is tonight at Sqhs, rest not sure about.
  7. Good game for what it was if i may add. Our defense wasn't clicking, midfield was doing crap, and we just couldn't get no offense against you guys. You are a good team (as if that needs said), much respect. See you in playoff's maybe, and hopefully we'll make it more of a challenge. CSAS 2-1 Baylor
  8. SQHS and CSAS are tonight at CSAS at 6:30. Got postponed yesterday...
  9. Sequoyah at points would keep the ball on the attacking side for 15-20 minutes. Adrian would make a nice run ever once in awhile, or danny would do something. But usually, we'd just get it back to our side quickly. If Sweetwater was winning the whole game, how would we have came from 2-0 to tie it??? And Sequoyah played the WB game where there coach, there fans, and there players were taunting us the whole game. They got us upset. And we were missing the cornerstone of our defense. It was clearly one of our worst games, as we started playing selfishly. Don't get me wrong man. Sweetwater can be a very very good team. Danny and Adrian, two of the best players i've ever saw. There is a ton of talent on that team. Which this is one reason i will never say sweetwater stinks. Simply cause they don't. Eh... That sounded different then i meant. I mean were not expecting to got there and have an easy match. Which think, and know, we can win, just we also realize it's gonna be a hard match.
  10. I'm thinking there wasn't any, but i could be wrong. There was 1 on Sqhs. Not compeltely sure.
  11. Sequoyah beat grace 3-0. We finnaly found our form again, and kept the ball away from the keeper as much as we could. Anthony Collins got one, can't remember how. A grace defender hit one of our midfielders in the box, leading to a PK, and Denio Jimenez got a goal also. Roughly played game, with some players injured, others already being injured and still playing. Fun game though. SQHS had never beat Grace, only scored on them once, and never shut them out. What a senior night. But Props to Grace if anyone here plays for them, it was a fun match.
  12. I mean no offense, but what about Sequoyah??? We're 6-3-1, Beating Tyner (9-0), Grace(3-0), Silverdale(2-1), and Tellico(2-0). We lost to William Blount, a AAA school, And Central, which was a game were we litterly got everything called against us. Our players would get cussed, and get yellows for it. They kick our keeper, and our keeper got yelled at by the ref... And with that, we still managed to keep it close. And we lost to heritage, in a game we're we played mostly JV, had couple of the starters missing, and we just played horrible. We tied Sweetwater 2-2, Dominating the game at times. We play CSAS Thursday. We're not really expecting to win, we just want to make it a game and see what happens. And got boyd next Tues., which we are very confident about. But if/when we get put out, i'm going for CSAS. Sorry bout that, just get a little disheartened when i hear other teams we beat/tied mentioned preseason wise, and us not.
  13. Chris Penn was mentioned earlier. I've only saw the guy play one time, and we didn't test him much then. But still, he made some good saves, and i've heard alot about him being good. From what i have saw, which is very limited, he gets my vote.
  14. CSAS won't go far in the post season. they won't make it out of the districts! I'm just kidding. I'm looking forward to playing them thursday. I'm hoping, and think we could, pull out a HUGE upset then. But It'll be a fun game, i'm confident. ( i play for Sequoyah, btw)
  15. Sequoyah came back from 4-0 to tie my eigth grade year i think. And no, that's not biased. a comeback from 4 is amazing, much less to win 6-4. Amazing.
  16. A couple of friends of mine and me went to watch it. Got their about 10 minutes late, but Boy'd scored around the 20 mark I'm thinking, but Sweetwater would score within two minutes of that kick-off. Boy'd was a nice lob over the keeper, and sweetwater just had a break away. I can't really remember how anyone scored afterward. Boyd's #18 and 6 both got yellows, i can't recall any sweetwater player getting carded. I think Sweetwater's #9 (very good player) may have gotten injured. I'm not very biased i don't think, but having seen Sweetwater play against us, they could have done much better. They're defense was sloppy, Danny(#10) and Adrian (#9) didn't show me near what they had before. Just thinking, I'm thinking this moves Sequoyah back up to #2 in the district, with Boyd, CSAS, and grace all up coming.
  17. Sequoyah 2-2 Sweetwater. Sweetwater scored in first twenty minutes, and about 10 minutes later they got another. One was a great shot from way outside the box, another from closer in, but the ball went off a player's foot after our goalie was already diving. But we got a goal right before half, keeping the ball on their half for the last while of the half. Then Second half was about even, with chances from both teams. But again, in the end of the half we kept it on their side. With ten minutes left, we got an equalizer. Played hard, hoping for the 3rd, and winning, goal, but couldn't get it. Still a good tie to come from two down.
  18. Hm.. Could be a good game. Grace is starting to slip it would seem, while Boyd i've heard little about. But I'll go with Boyd by 2. Just out of curiosity, how was Grave Vs. Tyner. Also, in the same district as Grace and Boyd, Sequoyah and Sweetwater play tonight. Rivalry game. Sequoyah hasn't beat them in 8(?) years, but drew last year, and we think we can pull it off tonight. And then we got another district tommorow at McMinn Central.
  19. Sequoyah 9-1 Harriman. Played a mix of main players and bench players second half. 2 freshmen picked up goals, juniors picked up 3 goals, (me getting my first ever) and seniors got 4. Pretty fun game honestly. Ref's done good and all. We face our first real test tommorow at William Blount. Anyone know how god they really are?
  20. Anybody know if sweetwater is really that good? My school has a big rivalry with them. We haven't beta them in 8 years, drawing last year. But we feel this is our year. And plus they've already been trash talking us. So anyone know?
  21. Last year we had a game, where one ref got stuck in traffic, and was a little late. But the other ref moved to Brazil, and didn't feel the need in telling any of us... I'm just wondering. Is this a common problem?
  22. Just figured I'd mention Sequoyah beat Tyner 9-0 last night. No offense, But anderson gave you a good game? In the play day we put them away 2-0, with little pressure. Keeper made maybe 2 or 3 saves all game. But of course, that was a 40 minute scrimmage. Alot could had changed had it been 80 minutes of real soccer.
  23. About the Two referre system. It may be true that this isn't always the safest or smartest way to handle a situation. But for some teams, as in mine, it is the only way. We typicaly make $130 at most on gate and concessions. We have to spend $110 on refs. Some Schools just can't afford to bring in 3 refs in every game.
  24. Sequoyah has maybe 7 at the most fan wise at most home games i say. Away games lucky to have one if not kin or dating a player. We barely make enough to pay the ref's from gate money. And Monroe used to have ok coverage of soccer. This year, our coach seems to have to write the review.
