  1. Not a CPA guy- I'm a Lipscomb graduate
  2. Yes, what an accomplishment- Congratulations to Trent Dilfer and his team of mercenary players, who represent 35 of the 50 states, on defeating CPA.
  3. Go ahead and do that. List where each player attended Middle School too while you're at it...
  4. There isn't a single person in Tennessee who thinks PC is afraid of Lipscomb. If we're using this logic, Dilfer and Lipscomb ran away from all of AAA by not moving up last off season. You'd think with a team full of multi state mercenaries he'd want the best competition around...
  5. Lipscomb should pray for CPA to have some down years, because even with all that talent Dilfer is recruiting in from all across the country, his only chance for a gold ball is for CPA to have a down season. He will never out coach Ingle Martin.
  6. Lipscomb's girls team is 7-7 overall and 1-5 in region. Roller really has them going in the right direction... Firing him was their choice, although it appears they are no better off. The issue is the administration issued a press release saying he was stepping down, trying to make it seem as if it was his decision.
  7. Fair question, although it's kind of impossible for me to say without knowing who else they interviewed and who else would have accepted the job. I didn't see the press conference, but didn't Glenn say they interviewed a large number of candidates? My preference would have been a coach with previous Head coaching experience at the high school level, preferably at a private school. It is possible, and even probable, thats exactly what they wanted in a candidate (Ingle Martin for example), but could not get any of them to accept the job. Maybe Dilfer was the best option of what they could get, we'll never know. I do know that if I were a coach, I'd be leery of accepting a job at Lipscomb after the way they have treated some coaches and athletic programs.
  8. I didn't ever say hiring him was a bad decision. I said he was unproven and has zero high school coaching experience, which is true. You just acknowledged hiring him is a risk and their are questions about whether or not he can translate football knowledge to high school players... which are exactly the points I made. My comment about how if he didn't succeed as a coach, his hire wouldn't have been the first terrible decision the LA administration made was a shot at the admin, not at Dilfer. Sorry if that confused you.
  9. No one disputes he had a successful career as a player. Playing experience alone doesn't automatically translate to success as a coach, much less as a head coach. You are assuming that because he played in the NFL, somehow he automatically is destined to have success as a coach. It just doesn't work that way. No matter how much Tony Dungy likes him, the fact is he is completely unproven as a high school football coach. Bowers or Martin don't have a resume like his? Correct. No super bowls for either of them. Just multiple state championships as high school football coaches. Which is the job we are talking about. So, yea, I think I'll go with Bowers and Martin's resumes. From all accounts he is a good man, and has been successful working with QBs in camps. I wish him well, but this seems like a hire designed to win a press conference, with little forethought about his experience or ability to do the job. It wouldn't be the first terrible decision made by this administration.
  10. I have heard of Elite 11, but his association with a QB camp doesn't change the fact that he has zero high school coaching experience. Being a head coach involves a lot more than coaching qb mechanics at a camp.
  11. Why is this a huge hire? NFL experience does not translate automatically to being a good coach, and he has zero experience as a high school coach. He's totally unproven.
  12. Maybe they can give the job to Ryan Roller like they did after Ernie Smith "resigned" as the girls basketball coach.
  13. Because I called out one of your fanboys, Springfield must have put my team out? Solid logic chief. You pc guys so sensitive...
  14. I don't know anything about pc or fairview, but I do know you are making me uncomfortable with your man crush and desperation for attention from pearl posters. Trying just a little too hard bud. If you are waiting on someone to compliment Springfield, good luck... Biggest compliment I can give that crap hole is at least you aren't portland...
  15. um, yea....... you didn't at all answer what he was asking...
  16. All goodpasture fans are guilty of something, mainly being trash. Bet they keep metro cops busy in the stands. I heard they need 5 or 6 officers at most home games to control the parents. Wow, you have no class! gpcougar fan, crawl back into your dumpster. It's laughable for a goodpasture fan to accuse ANYONE else of not having class. Get ready for late hits on the field, and fools in the parking lot, York!

  18. Zion's shaky secondary will be exposed in this one... Cornersville 24-10
  19. Should know more middle of the week. Marcus is hopeful though...
  20. Scootsboro actually has quite a bit of talent this season, and would whip dbcs or lcs fairly easily in my opinion.
  21. He should get a lot of tries to kick it through the endzone tonight.......
  22. Listen hoss, I'm not going to sit here and listen to you mock Marcus and his elegibility situation. He is a great kid from a great family, and would give anything to get all this paperwork finished and get out on the field. Your posts insult him and his family, and I would prefer you not speak about things that you know nothing about from now on.
  23. If he is eligible, the Bears better batton down the hatches. I ran into his Mom at Kroger on saturday and she thought it would get done this week.
