35-0 hardin co. was the score for those asking. never hurts to get a spanking when it doesn't really matter. we will see what kind of team aville really is by how they respond this week. hardin has been good before but have been doomed in 5a. this years drop to 4a might be just what they needed to make a really deep run.

predictable offense is the problem. we act like 18 is the only one who can run it. if so he needs to run power leads etc. not a good singleback back. hardin co is the real deal in 4a, look for them to go far in the playoffs if they stay healty. 19 should be back he's got 9 more fingers, tape it to another and go. aville must run power I traditional and quit the gimmicky stuff. also must establish a short passing game, tight end and all. that will open the field up for big gains and big plays. got to use the personnel to their abilities, not as superior talented at skill as in the past. Intense, why would tca go for it deep in their own territory (I am guessing that's what u meant at the 10).?? or else they would kick a field goal with your sons leg he's good from 45-50.

You take everything too literal. I am talking in generalities. They were ranked top ten in state so I would think y'all beating them was an upset. A surprise no bc tca is well coached and had tons of depth but upset as far as rankings and seeding yes.

they gravitate to bball like everyone else here gravitates to fball because of state championships. they are in it for the gold (aint everyone?) girls undefeated state champs last year, boys top 5 ranked last year upset in tourney. they (boys) have 3 state championships I believe (early one, 91, 2005???) and a runner up but are always in the mix, always. tons of district and region champs. if middleton had some cash for new infrastructure and equipment and they could be a 1a power with the renewed interest it would generate. but in this game Peabody in cruise control from opening kick. 21-0 end of 1st qtr. end score will be how ever many you want to score to how ever many you will let them score, sad but true. I wouldn't risk getting anyone hurt in this one.

Aville offensive line got whipped most of game by a little smaller front of cc. Could not run the ball in the middle at all. Finally got some stuff going. Absolutely no deep threat at receiver despite a couple good throws. Qb's were getting chewed by coach all night. Tons of mistakes. Same ones as always: delay of game off a change of possession whether it be a punt, fumble, kickoff etc. archaic way of calling in plays. Finally a screen play after years of needing one. 18 is a good hard runner but 19 is a better north south guy. He got maybe 5-6 carries including overtime and scored on two of those. He needs to average at least 15 carries. Defense came up huge in 2nd half. Cc had lots of chances to extend lead and win but luckily didn't.

Wish them well but both county schools have incredibly hard schedules ahead of them.

Just saying there are traditional AA powers. I did forget about Goodyear closing and hated to hear that. I guess that is the main reason for decline in bc obion and south Fulton have always been there. Obion looks to have some new facilities idk if any are for sports. Uc is a big town but I guess had to be to accommodate industry.

Historically uc was AA. Union city itself is a larger than normal single a "town". Back in the day union city dominated the AA scene. Idk what happened that caused them to lose students to fall to single A. I really would like to know. Other schools built etc. I have no clue. Humboldt was another that was a AA power but I know other schools new ones in area has pulled their numbers down. Uc judging by the city itself and local area should still have AA numbers but don't. I believe they could absolutely contend for titles in AA.

Uc fans admit they are big fish in small pond, so is Mitchell. Jump up a pond and play aa next year.

Adamsville is as good as anyone when dilworth plays the 2 guard. This will be the key to compete for a win at btw. The Ball doesn't flow well with him at 1. If coach puts him at 2 guard then it's a three headed monster and they will be a tough out in any round. Agreed 60% with him at 1. With him at 2 everyone is better more like 80% plus.

That's completely ludicrous to say. The world does not revolve around union city. Campbell has led team for 4 years. Averages double double, no one else in conversation does that. Maybe they also take things like character, social media, etc. into consideration. Aau has nothing to do with it. The coach of that team has no vote. Crazy post.

I would love to see everyone that's in the conversation stats and team win loss record. I was strictly speaking on the ones I have seen from west tn only. Certainly there are others throughout the state in each classification that have great stats also. Would like to see em all to be able to compare.

A west tn. Tucker campbell Aville has to be at top of list. Only player mentioned with career average double double. Bball is a lot more than scoring people. It's rebounding, assisting, shooting efficiently. Best all around numbers. Averages around 19 and 11 per. 1600 plus scored nearing 1000 rebounds 95 blocks etc.

I can appreciate that you think u understand the situation, the reality is if you are not from this county then you don't really get the whole picture. When it causes adults to act childish it is time to move on. We are passing on a 6k dollar gate bc class is more important. We wil take the high road. We will find someone to play and hopefully it will be a very good team in which both programs can improve from playing each other, this has never been the case with the rival game. One or the other dominates and no one grows from it. I say we call an east tn powerhouse 2a and if we get beat so be it.

why play them? they bit#% if they lose about recruiting (fictional) and boast if they win (4a is supposed to beat 2a). they had 3 wins this year against teams with a combined win percentage of .087 (fact). they will not win more than 3 next year if they are extremely lucky, scotts hill will drill them in week one.

you guys will have your plates full with Milan, westview, dyersburg, etc. we are really helping you out letting you schedule another patsy to possibly get a "w". who cares about a winning streak, we need someone who shows class and makes us better, not someone who shows their #### and we have to put in the b team in the second qtr.

Hey, good to hear Huntington is going back down too. Mckenzie is always tough. Yeah will be different looking teams with new identities prob as well. Qb I am referring to is who I am assuming will get the job. Number 2 this year, db this year. He is very versatile and can any position really. He was the one that attempted pass on jet sweep to 17 but was a little long vs Peabody. I think it was in first half. He has a great arm prob a little better than 10. And he has wheels and should be a threat to run. Would be a good read option qb, hopefully we can add that to the mix. He will be a senior next year so just one year but lots of upside as we have always needed a qb that can break contain and have some designed runs. 10 was mobile but not enough. Here's hoping Trezevant has a down year. Lol
