I think Reagan would win heavy, but I don't think that he would pin Palmore again. Got him late in the third when they wrestled earlier this year. I would chalk it up to a decision if they were to wrestle again.

Anyone have info on what UTC's incoming class looks like? They haven't posted anything about their incoming class on the website. I was just wondering what it looks like overall and who from this senior class is staying in state.

Times change. CBHS hasn't lost a dual to a team (public or private) from the Memphis area in about 9 years. Given the way they schedule, I think saying that they would shy away from combined region and state tournament for fear of competition is just silly. In that scenario they probably wouldn't send their entire team to the state tournament like they do under the current format. But to say that they wouldn't welcome a combined state tournament because they weren't finishing in top 4 of the region 20 years ago is ridiculous.

As mentioned above, there is no telling what is running through a tennage boy's mind. Also, there is no telling what is on a tennage boy's hand under all the sweat, snot and funk that accumulate there during a wrestling match. As someone who has coached, the handshake is overrated. I'd prefer that it wasn't done after each individual match of a dual. When guys did come to shake my hand after a match, I generally offered up the fist bump instead.

For those of us that are unable to make the trip, will the D2 state duals be streamed anywhere tonight and tomorrow?

I'm not sure. I was unable to be there for the entire day and they were working in alot of guys.

The CBHS duals were this past weekend. I was really Looking forward to CBHS-Soddy rematch in the finals of this one. Unfortunately Soddy elected not to make the trip, due to what I assume being the need to rest some injured guys. Without them there CBHS rolled. I don't have the full results but the scores of their duals were as follows. CBHS 58 Collierville 24 CBHS 65 Cordova 15 CBHS 69 Centennial 6 CBHS 72 Arlington 6

My point, exactly. Its a real shame Kaleb didn't have the opportunity to attend this tournament his senior year. Its always fun to watch him compete against competition of this caliber.

I'm sure he would have been favored to win it as the defending champion.

As you will see, a lot of things on this message board result in a D1 vs D2 discussion. In the case of eligiability and transfer rules, the discussion began about a certain wrestler and then quickly shifted to whether or not the rules apply to private boarding schools in the same way they apply to public schools.

If you get on this board with any sort of frequency then you would know that Tate's eligibility has been discussed, speculated about, or whatever else you want to call it, at length. It is probably best that the "speculation" be kept to a minimum until someone closer to the situation knows for sure whether or not he will be eligible. Until then, there is about a 10 page thread about it buried somewhere on here if you would like to get caught up. Its mostly arguing about (surprise, surprise) the differences between D1 vs D2.

Perhaps... All I'm saying is that the word find makes it sound like Baylor discovered something. Tate is a state champion and All-American, I'm pretty sure most of Tennesee (Baylor Included) knows exactly who Tate is.

so back to the original topic.... Congratulations to Phillip on a great achievement!! Winning the Pan Am games is awesome and no easy feat; though I'm sure Phillip has his sights set even higher. I can't wait to see what he and fellow Tennesseean/former Pan Am champion Nick Marable have in store this summer.

I think Chris Lewis from CBHS is highly underated given the strides that have been made by that program over the past several years. A lot of which can be attributed to encouraging wrestling year round and the developement of a solid feeder program.
