  1. Everyone has an opinion just like they have other things and that is all you have at this point. SC played well and looked like the team from the beginning of the season. DO NOT count us out in the district tourney. Upset happen and we intend to support our team to big wins.
  2. Sorry to hear about an injury this late in the season.
  3. BC just wanted to let you know that SC beat Cheatham with a great inside game by 17 points tonight.
  4. I don't have a shield preventing me from seeing good ball players. I just don't call anything I have seen your way pure ball players. I never said West is a sure thing but when put up against the guys you mentioned, I think West is the best choice. So for big game wins, we did that tonight!!!! Beat Cheatham by 17. You want to compare players which is fine for someone that does not have a true concept of the game. But a true MVP is an all around player that also knows how to utilize the other 4 players on the floor. Jake West does this. SC plays team ball!!!
  5. I really hate to burst the bubble of all the haters out there but SC beat Cheatham. We won by 17 points!!!! SC played great tonight!!! We dominated inside! Cheatham could not handle the inside game. So don't count the REBS out anytime soon. We will not go down without a fight. Good job to all the REBELS!
  6. As far as MVP is concerned, West has showed more ability than anyone in the district. He still gets down on himself easily but when he is on, he can't be stopped. Regardless of the outcome of the Harpeth game, West is the best pick for the MVP. He is an all around player. No one else in the district plays ball on both ends of the court. It takes more than scoring to be a MVP. Lancaster at SC is also another option. He gives it 110% every game. I wish all played like him.
  7. Lohin is not as talented as you say. To be as talented as you say he would have to be a total package and I certainly did not see it.
  8. You are right about the War Eagles getting the ball in the lane. Their offense did everything right. Stewart County could not get anything going. I love the SC team but something has happen to the determination of the team. I know that Bramlett and Craig are trying their best to motivate them but they don't seem to be responding. Turnovers and lack of defense are hurting the team. I am sure they will bounce back by Thursday. The season is not over yet. The standings only tell how the team is doing now. Tournament time can be different. Lets go REBS!
  9. I totally agree with you. Jake will do good at a small school on the next level. He is very inconsistent with both offense and defense. If he gets down it is very hard for him to come back and regain his composure. I truly hope he can keep it together for the remainder of the season and assist Jared Lancaster in getting a bid to the regionals again. As far as Cody Dunn is concerned he is not a threat. He does not have the ability or attitude to play at any level. If I was the coach, he would be benched for his display of unsportmanlike behavior or totally off the team. THere is no excuse for the way he acts. Either you can play or you are just all mouth. In his case, he is just a mouth without the ability to back anything up.
  10. Bramlett is much more than a coach to these young men. The players think the world of him. They know that no matter the situation Bramlett will be there to help them. He is the total package for a good coach. It is true we are not a wealthy team as far as talent goes but he makes a team out of them. The players have a lot of drive and Bramlett gets it out of them. He is successful because of the discipline, and character he instills in these young men.
  11. The coach at SCHS is a very good coach. He has his reasons for how he coaches. The fans have no business second guessing the coach. If you have not been in the coaching position, you have NO idea how stressful it is. Split second decisions have to be made. Everyone has an opinoin but sometimes it is best kept to yourself. The coach needs support from the parents. If you bad-mouth the coach in front of your child(player of the team), the players will not respect the coach. The players have to respect his decisions and vice versa. SCHS does have a lot of talent. It is not one person. They play as a team. Calling out one player and singing their praises is unnecessary. Team ball wins games not individuals. For the way the crowd acted: I did not see the SCHS student body do anything out of the way. If they had, the principal, MR. CHris Guynn, would have stopped it since he was sitting very close to the students. The CUBs student body was horrible. They made total ***** of themselves. I would hate to be a parent of one of those students. However, our adult parents and fans need to check themselves. The adults are suppose to set an example for the student and we had parents going after the CUBs student body. (For that I apologize) Be a fan of the game! Be a supporter of the team!! Show ownership of our team by behaving at games. We don't want our team to be put down by the inappropriate actions of a few. Go REBELS!!! Bounce back and show the REBEL PRIDE on Friday!!!!!!!!!
  12. I totally agree! You have to know the dynamics of the team to understand the entire situation. Fans don't always know the coach well enough to grasp the situation. Before jumping to conclusions, get the full story.
  13. I don't agree with your comments. Players do not play to humiliate coaches. They may not do everything correctly but humiliation is not their intent. Reminding is one thing but it can be carried to far. I am a coach, parent, and fan. I know where to draw the line. The comment about "If you have not coached before you don't deserve an opinion" is a disgrace to coaches and parents. This comment puts a terrible light on coaches. Also, you must not have children and if you do, you don't think much of them to make this statement. Good coaches do so with motivation in mind. Coaches deserve respect and so do the players and parents. Mutual respect is the first step to motivation.
  14. Bramlett is a very good coach. He has taken boys and girls teams to regional games and was not expected to do so. He teaches the boys skills for the game and life. He also knows when to admit he is wrong. If he makes a mistake or feels he is in the wrong, he will admit it. This is an extremely good lesson to teach young adult boys. I have watched him coach for all his years at Stewart County and have always been impressed by him. He cares about the players both on the floor and off and is not afraid to let them know that. Grades, character, basketball skills, he teaches it all. Coach Bramlett puts in the hard work and deserves to be noted as a good coach for the players of Tennessee. (Stewart County is grateful for a coach like Bramlett)
  15. Stewart Co. held their own against Kenwood. Kenwood has a good team but not a team that SC could not beat. SC missed numerous easy shots. The ball just would not fall for them. Turnovers were another big factor. SC's Jared Lancaster was the dominating force on the floor again tonight. He works hard to keep the team in all the ball games!!! SC needs to get back to the team play of the earlier games of the season. Relying on one person to be the go to guy can't work. Others like Jared have to pick up for the players that do not give 100% all the time. Again, KUDOS to Jared for a job well done. Keep up the good work!!!
  16. The game was not pretty for SC. I love this team but I do believe that they have relied on one player for too long. Jared Lancaster came to play as usual. I can not remember a game that this young man has not give it his all. Great Job Jared!! The good news is that we have another shot at the WarEagles. SC needs to re-group and learn from this game. I know they can do it!!!! Bramlett and Craig will get them moving back in the right direction by the next game. So SC accept the lose, learn from it and kick ###### next time. The SC fans support you!!!!!
  17. Kudos to Josh Wooten and Jared Lancaster for holding the team together tonight. Josh really did a nice job handling the ball and getting some big points when they were needed. As usual Jared did a great job in the paint. Now on to the big game Friday against Sycamore.
  18. I agree about all the posts that elizabug is making. Although I do agree with the fact that SC is playing well. SC has the talent to win. I hope they keep the heart and drive to do so. Bramlett has brought the boys a long way. Lets just root for the team and see how things play out.
  19. No I am not one that you didn't mention. I am just a past rebel player that knows the game and unlike you I don't make comments according to my friends. I watch all the games and respect all the players. Picking out one or two is ridiculous. Again a team is made of 5 players. You certainly have lots of opinoins in every post but nothing too back it up. When you talk about a team leaving out others players is offensive to the entire team if they are a team. If you want to be for SC represent the entire team. They play as a team and should be talked about as such. Otherwise you are destroying what Bramlett is trying to instill in the boys.
  20. I like your support but a team is not one, two or three players. It takes five people to win a game. Boone gets a lot of varsity playing time. Dylan gets some but not as much as Boone. Earhart has only seen playing time in one varsity game and that was 1 minute and 52 seconds and he was put in with another sophomore. The sophomores will be a team to beat by the time they are seniors. They are not all scorers. Assists and team play gets the job done. Defense and quickness is a winning factor and ALL five of the starting sophomores are quick and work well together. Therefore if you pick out two or three players you are not supporting the team. SCHS varsity and JV plays as a team and should be treated as such. Anything else is putting the team down. Bramlett has worked hard to make them a team not an individual unit so support the team not one.
  21. I am not sure if you watched any of the games this year or else you don't know much about the game. Jake has been a contributing player but not the defining factor. The bench has several good players that can step in when needed.
  22. SC wins this one!!!! The team play will dominate the floor!!
  23. I agree with you. The rebs are playing as a team this year. It is not a one man game anymore. Jake has learned to give the ball up and trust the other players to finish. Jared shows great passion for the game. He gives 110% all the time. Wooten is doing great since he has never played the point position before this year. The team has more outside shooting ability than in past season. Bramlett is the glue that keeps the players in check and now we have a great assistant in Craig so the JV will be progressing as well. The team has to concentrate on one game at a time. The coaches and fans will be there to support them. I have confidence they will get the job done.
  24. Stewart County did play well. The refs called the game relatively well. Both teams got beneficial calls. regardless of ots its still a loss.
