  1. Wow, such language. If you watch Siegel play they also have players that dive on the floor, they have kids that are all around players just like Hughes but did you see any articles on them. Their bench is deep with talent but all people seem to think about are the big scorers. What about the kids who averages 8-10 ppg, 4 assist, 3 steals, 2 blocks and 8 rebounds per game, and run point if needed, those are the ones the college coaches will be looking at while the rest of you are fussing about the ones with tunnel vision. Yeah Hughes does a lot but he's done no more than some other sleepers in the 'Boro. Look at Lebanon and Hillsboro(I know not in our district but hey) they have divers and sleepers and worker bees just like everyone else. It's all in how you carry yourself and because Siegels carrys around the swagger that brings out the haters. Well every school should believe that they are the best, otherwise what would we all have to talk about. So, if the DNJ wants to make a Cinderella story out of Oakland, hey more power to them, it will all come down to who wants it the most. Roll on Stars and good luck Pats and let's not forget Blackman and Riverdale. Play hard young men.
  2. They definitely need to learn what a jump stop is. If I see one more ref call a walk because they are usually shocked when it happens I may just go drop the 55 and take the test myself. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  3. Another good junior is Lavon Tate out of M'boro. He's an all around player. I've only saw him a couple of times this season but saw him out in Vegas along with the Lyles kid. He can run the point or do the dirty work down low and jump out with a three and Lyles has a stroke like Phelps. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  4. Mc A who......Looks like those sophomores handled him just fine.... /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  5. Siegel won 82-60............STATE BOUND BABY......................... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. Whining will get you no where. Did you see Green try to get down and dirty tonight but that didn't work...neither for Delaney... and as far as the Siegel parents, just remember the same thing you say about Green being mad and it not in his nature could be said about them as well. Such a hypocrite you are. You act like they are in pre school or something, everyone has a button. And yes we can all get along.
  7. Where you at now because it sure looked like they was prepared tonight. Was you /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> I guess not /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  8. Somebody please get "Swami" another coin because Siegel has proved that they can be a force to be reckoned with and take you out of your game with tight defense and smart plays. /motorbike.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":motorbike:" border="0" alt="motorbike.gif" />
  9. Yeah, you beat them 3 out of 4 times but tonight is the one that counted.......................GO SIEGEL /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  10. GO SIEGEL.... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  11. Why would you bash someone for telling a team to pass the ball? I had family sitting a couple of rows down from the Tate lady and they was saying to pass the ball and play defense to the team as well. I guess she is the only one that got caught. Sounds like someone was feeling guilty. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  12. My mom told me that the one mother was hollering to pass the ball but didn't call anyones name. The other mom started walking over there pointing and it just blew up. /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blush.gif" />
  13. A Senior that has signed Division 1 gets no slack. You would think he has matured enough to lead the team not act like he is in elementary school. He did the same thing at the Liberty tourney. Come on if you want to give him a break then he needs to act like he deserves it. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  14. That's a qood question. I know you said Blackman won state in middle shcool but I've not seen much of them this year. I've seen Tate through AAU the last couple of years and tracked him through a coach I went to school with. He will be a good addition to this team when he is fully recovered from the ankle. I didn't see much of Hammonds last year at AAU or school because of his ankle and knee both. Gooch is a good leaper and has a decent shot on him and can rebound as well. #45 may be short but I think he will be fine. I think Nicholas from Louisiana could be a good point guard if he learns to get in a zone and drown out the crowd. Nicholas-Should be starting 1 next year Gooch- Starting 2 Hammonds- Starting 3 but plays 4 as well Tate- Starting 4 but plays 3 as well Mitchell- Starting 5 Hammonds played AAU under his father last year but they didn't stay around long but when I did see him play he looked just like he does now...quick on the go and heading for the basket. He looks like he has grown a couple of inches. He looks for the ball and has those big hands ready. Tate played AAU last year and I did saw him when we went to Cookeville and if you don't know about him you will. This team seems to be going through a gelling phase and will have this year to go through and know what changes to make next year. Good luck young guys....it's all up to you. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  15. Where the key players back for the Lebanon game..... I think they was based on the extra names I notice that played football...so what happened. I just saw the score.. /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" />
  16. Can you say have some confidence maybe coach................. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  17. I've said it before that this going to be a good Sophomore class. Hammonds is the best on the team right now but you have to know that Tate is recovering from a turned ankle from the Wilson Central game. Your right though I have seen him play before and the potential is there. He doesn't look that strong but when he is 100% he'll give you the rebounds and points when the touch is allowed. I didn't see last nights game but saw the Wilson Central game and if you want court vision just watch Tate on an inbounds pass or when he runs point on a fast break. Hammonds, Gooch, Mitchell, Tate, and Nicholas will be a group to watch in the future. They will miss Cutter but can carry the torch. Cutter is on his way out to Indiana State and will have to utilize his supporting cast and based on your statement he did that last night. He should leave a lasting impression on the team as to what a leader is too do. Don't be too quick to judge these young cats because they must have not been in it because it doesn't sound like the same team I say play. From what I saw of Gooch and Mitchell #45 they played solid ball so again it sounds like an off night. Calling the timeout was something but just like you said---Missed free throws will hurt everytime. The net said Siegel missed their last 6 free throws at the end of the game which truly hurt them. If they do place 4th or 5th I think that is going to show them what to do for next year. Don't be dissappointed just know that you saw a team have a down night and definitely go back for more. Get the popcorn ready. I looked at their schedule last week and see they have a tough couple of weeks ahead. Will be very interesting to say the least. However, not to switch to the girls but what was up with that game? I'm about to go over on the girly side and ask. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" /> /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  18. Yeah they won by one because Siegel dribbled too much at the end plus they choked on free throws and they have one their starting 5 still weak over that turned ankle against Wilson Central. Considering the boys still are hanging tough. I heard the refs made some bad calls on both sides. Hopefully Siegel learns from its mistakes and buckles down for district play. Congrats Overton. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  19. Glad to hear Tate was able to go back. Speaking of duo I saw them a couple of weekends ago at their playday and Hammonds and Tate make a better duo. These two have very good court sense and I think Tate could possibly be a point guard if he worked on his handle. He seems like he could play anywhere as well as Hammonds who is just lethal right now. Someone ask about the kid from Louisiana a while back and that made me think who will be their point next year after Cutter graduates. He could possibly fill that spot if he stays level headed.
  20. I don't think Tate had dunks rather he had the assists that lead to the dunks. He has good court vision for a young person. Someone said he got hurt, is that true. /ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":o" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" /> I don't think Tate had dunks rather he had the assists that lead to the dunks. 21. Well, they won by 16. There's something to be said about the sophomore class at Siegel. I'll keep saying it. Get the popcorn ready boys. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  22. No doubt TJ will be right in the mix. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  23. Hammons lead with 17, Tate had 16, Gooch 10. This is going to be the class to watch over the next few years. These three around that basket are going to be dangerous. Sit back and enjoy. /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
  24. Who cares where he came from as long as he performs on the floor. It's funny no one has even thought that he is playing with Cutter and you know they are not going to let him be outshined. I look forward to big things from the Tate kid along with Hammonds. I watched them play over the weekend and some more playing time together and I think they will gel. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
