I couldn't have said it better. This coaching staff is a band of brothers who will take this team a very long way if the players continue to buy into their system and listen and learn. This may be true as far as the past few years but thru the entire love/hate relationship dating back over two and a half decades Marshall County has had the upper hand. I see Marshall County winning big and going deep into the playoffs this year. This team is playing as a team and has great leadership, and the biggest advantage over the past few years is the discipline. CAK Fans --- You have brought the dog out of the house and he is barking loudly. My suggestion to all is to take your win and go on back to whatever it is you do on the wekends. Bulldog isn't going to back off or down to whatever you have to say or post. He knows how the sport/business of high school football works, he has been there as a parent of a player and a fan for many years, and as a study of the sport for many more. This is coming from someone who has tried and failed more than once. This is also coming from a fan of a Rival team with Page and not a friend of the family.

Marshall County didn't just win -- they dominated Creekwood. As far as Tucker getting beefed upo this year -- he didn't show me much. The defense was in the backfield of Creekwood as much as the QB was. With the exception of a few missed tackles and a blocked point after MC played a flawless game. Braden ran the ball well, Hightower with a 79 yard catch and run for a Td and also a kickoff return for a TD. Jake Morris 5 of 9 throwing the ball and a few yards running the ball. Great game guys -- you needed this one. Get ready for a tough Columbia team and then another region game against Page.

True -- At first MC was to play Lincoln County in the Pig Skin Preview but that changed. Marshall County will play Coffee County in the Pig Skin Preview and Giles County will play Lincoln County

Hey BC -- That would be Jake Morris at QB. You are right -- he has the smarts and the athletic ability to get the job done. He has a great arm and has speed to go with it. I wouldn't consider him a double threat of any magnitude, but he can tuck the ball and go with it if he has to. This team has all of the elements to be successful, only time will tell if they are able to put it all together into the total package And yes Middle Tennessee -- Discipline was the biggest thing missing from this MC team the past couple of years and if nothing else Don Thomas has restored that quality element in MC Football. They have been going at it hard in off season conditioning and I persoanlly feel that this team is better prepared than any I have seen since the championship year of 1984. A very good test will be at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Pigskin Preview in which MC will be playing a very good Lincoln County team.

Former Franklin County Head Coach and Principal of Franklin County High School Harold "Red" Roberts has been hired to replace Nancy Pruitt as principal of Marshall County High School. Roberts is reported to be a long time friend of Head Coach Don Thomas, this would be understandable as Coach Thomas played against Roberts while at Lincoln County. I have a friend who played for Roberts and doesn't have a lot of good things to say about him. I have heard other mixed feelings. All I have to say is at least someone who appears to be sportsminded was hired and should support all of the athletic programs at Marshall County High School. Best of Luck to Mr Roberts, Coach Thomas and The MCHS Tigers on their upcoming season. It should be a very good year for the Tigers

Yes -- This will be the Army All American Bowl. I hate to change the subject but who else from TN has played in this game?

It was announced this past Friday that Marshall COuntyies Dante Hightower witll be a participant in the All American Bowl on Jan 5th 2008. Congrats to Dante for this accomplishement. He is the first player from Marshall County to make the trip to the Alamo Dome for this game Marshall County will be behind you 100 percent.

This is a biased opinion but I feel very good about Marshall County going deep into the tournament. These guys are playing some good offense and have cut down on the silly mistakes that plagued them the last week of regular season and in the District tournament.
