  1. I'm hearing that Austin Barrett from Oakland is also leaning toward Mercer as well even after his recent offers. He just received offers from Indiana State and Georgia Southern which gives him 8 total offers.
  2. I talked to young Hornsby's dad at the Cookville game and he told me and quote "Trevor will be going under the knife after the season he has a complete tear of the ACL and he will miss wrestling also". He also said "Trevor still thinks he is going to be able to kick but I don't see how". Then after the Smyrna game I ask his mom about him kicking and she was surprised he did. She said he was using a brace to stabilize his plant leg. I personally think Henry did a good job kicking in the rain against Cookeville on extra points. I also commend Trevor on gutting it out to help the team. This whole team has a lot of heart.
  3. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> good call
  4. No, Barrett will not play this week hopefully he gets released from the doctor next week. I think Amey will also be out this week.
  5. Barrett and Amey will not play against Lavergne, But should be back next week vs Franklin Co. I think Schaller will play Friday night at lavergne though.
  6. No, Barrett was against 72 Bullard (Noter Dame prospect) the whole scrimmage.
  7. Oakland had 2 scores called back. Both were long runs by BJ Nelson. Oaklands front 4 on Defense could be the best in the state.
  8. Yeah just like you told the truth when you said quote "THE FRESHMAN AT SIEGEL WAS A OLINE AND A DLINE AS A MATTER OF FACT HE TORE DERICK BARRETT UP ON THAT FIELD". It was kind of hard for Pennycuff to tear Barrett up on the field when both players only played D-line that game. The reason I know this is because I have seen the game film, and I was also at the game as well. Also Barrett never played o-line all year. You seem to be getting some bad info. If I were you I would find another source.
  9. Defensive Tackle Derek Barrett (Oakland) is also listed on Rivals and Scout
  10. Don't mean to change the subjet but, Did you guys see the interview on www.unapproved website.com about Derek Barrett and Oakland in '08 ?
  11. The biggest question of the night is ,why oakland declined the holding penalty before the end of the half? There was only 11 sec on the clock and we declined the penalty and they got an easier field goal. The penalty could have possibly put them out of field goal range. Lebanon would have had to run another play with the possibility of not getting any yards and running out of time or missing a field goal 10 yards farther back.
  12. Yes as a matter of fact they are taught that way. They are told to read the gaps first and only come off of the ball if the coach calls a certain play. I am with you because if you can get penetration why not but they are told to read first. As for the chop blocking I saw that more than twice and I feel that that is unacceptable. That was more than a messed up assignment.
  13. The big reason why the linebackers are getting so many tackles is because those big guys up front are so strong and fast that the line backers are not getting blocked . Also number 78 the nose tackle got illegally chop blocked a lot of the time during the game and the official never threw a penalty until their was 1 minute left in the game and he threw two 15 yarders in a row on Lavergne. But I guess you have got to block that way when you are overmatched. I just hate to see someone get hurt with this kind of blocking going on. When 78 was engaged with the center the guard was cutting his legs. This should be addressed.
  14. Yeah thanks for the pics they are great
  15. I don"t think 241 yards of total offense is dominating a game. Oakland only punted the ball one more time than riverdale did. Also two big plays for Riverdale are what won the game not driving the ball up and down the field.
