The talent level at Brentwood is head over heels above Franklin, if there is a favorite to win not only the district but state as well then it's Brentwood.

It will be interesting to see how Father Ryan makes the transition from DI to DII, but it will be a shootout between them and Brentwood in the Central Division. Cookeville could be good again as well, but if I had to choose an pre-season favorite it has to be Brentwood or Cookeville

There are more cons to lacrosse becoming TSSAA sanctioned than there are pros, bottom line.

To say they have no chance is a bit much. They will definitely compete on the D1 level, it's just a matter of how well they are going to do. I don't think they can match up again MUS, MBA, or CBHS but they cant definitely hold their own against the rest of the competition. Time will tell. Just because you all West Knox lost to Franklin by 2, doesnt make West Knox a powerhouse nor does it mean Franklin can't make it in D1.

Well, I'm a public school player and I know a public school coach who would be very unhappy if TSLA went TSSAA. If lacrosse in Tennessee happened to go TSSAA in the next few years then that would mean that everyone involved in the sport now would no longer be involved. Teams would be forced to find new coaches or coaches would have to become teachers in order to stay with their teams. I'm not a big fan of the TSSAA and how they run things, so I think it's best if we left them out of our sport. The only thing we can benefit from becoming TSSAA sanctioned is getting school fields to play on, along with actual school funding.

coach of the year should go to a coach who has built a program over the years and has made success with that program. My problem with Tyler Hirsh getting coach of the year honors is that he began coaching a team last year that had talented players already.

Cookeville didn't seem like the same team that played Brentwood, they seemed much more tired.
