O-U-C-H I read the "who's better" stuff about DB - Greenville. We will never know for sure since they don't play, but don't kid yourself when you compare the two no matter what your opinion. Both are very good teams and scrimmages are like....well.. scrimmages. You can probably look at how they perform against common opponents but even that theory is not an exact science.

I call it a 60 year old man cuttin on a kid. Poor taste. But it was still funny. It just wouldn't been funny if it was someone I knew he was cuttin on.

It was funny, but VERY poor taste by a coach. GC needs to shut his mouth and try to put together a full season. His jokes are a cover to take heat off his hind end. That way he can always joke his way out of a loss. I call it "Joke for Choke".

Greeneville will spank TH like they spanked everybody else. 41-14 But this is a Big DB versus little db thread. Same story just different teams.

DB should end up 10-0 and then as we all know it is "anything goes". I do not think the team at DB this year will settle for another "one and done". I think they will see the second round and then who knows.

I think I heard it as "Loved or Hated, but ALWAYS Overrated." Maybe this year DB will reach the finals. This is probably the only realistic chance they've had in the past few years, but I do think it is a definite possibility this year.

I am certainly not a DB or a Boone fan. But "A" game or "A+" game and DB is still going to DESTROY Boone this year. If it isn't at least 28 points I will be surprised. Boone should fare well with the rest of the conference outside of maybe Bristol.

Carter knew the time was right to leave. Talent drop and the "Kingsport squeeze" were weighing heavy. He took the best chance that will likely come around for the next few years. Do you really think "the chosen ones" are getting the starting jobs? Sound like ( and looks like ) a few are "not exactly team players" if you know what I mean. It appears that there is no obvious choice of a top RB, at least in the coaches eyes. Otherwise there would not be so many keepers and pass plays. Could be another tough Friday coming up.

At least the thread didn't get locked. If I could get ole Uncles Scotty to fly me down to G Town in his Jet I might attend this gridiron battle. All roads lead out of Greenville but none go in....at least not in a straight line.

Colobro needs to reinstate the 7th grade achievement test before all athletic males can be promoted to 8th grade. This will assure east of fielding great teams by 2015 and maybe then they get the Viking Monkey off their back If TN High drops East next year, I predict they will pick up either North Greene or Chuckey Doak.

When out of Colonial Heights there arose a loud gasp Some said they couldn’t understand it; it was too much to grasp I ran to the computer and searched Tri Cities Sports for the text But my membership had ran out, so the Times News would be next I logged in for free but all that I saw in the sports Was about Gate City basketball and high school wrestling, all sorts So back to CoachT I flew and I was stunned by the headline “Science Hill Coach named shortly after the Deadline” The first sentence answered my questions and I let out a sigh It read, “Carter named head coach at Science Hill High” Further reading brought details about salary and such And Stacy named assistants , that was a nice touch “I hired Ralph, and Scott, and Haynie, and Witten Stubbs Junior, and Mays, Barrett and Christian” And it said he exclaimed as he left for the day “ I would stay at South if it wasn’t going to soon be 3A” Merry Christmas to All ..... especially you, WACO!!

Solution: Put all 31 teams together in All Star format against Alcoa.....This would eliminate 30 games and Alcoa would still be State Champs....everybody, including Alcoa, could move on to Basketball...

Now that I have finally "passed" all of the black fowl I had to eat last week, I am ready to make my pick on this weeks game. South has the "mental" advantage IMO but the Vikings clearly have the "physical" advantage and are clicking on all cylinders right now. Unless South can get a lead and eat clock, I wil have to pick TN High this year. Still not gonna say a blowout, just a decisive win. A large flock of CROW was spotted on Volunteer Parkway this morning, disrupting traffic for about a half hour or so..... The question is...will this menacing horde of unruly FOWL spend the week in Bristol or Gray??? CAW CAW CAW!!!! Harked the RAVEN....NEVERMORE CAP I am sticking to my guns. The "Wrassle in the CASTLE" will go to Boone, 24-17. But I will still be picking up the CAP1 CROW Sauce at the gate! HEH HEH
