  1. Who does not like him? People who don't like him would not like anyone in that position.
  2. Well, after getting it handed to them for about the last twelve years you might think that thinking will be out the window. Your right, Meigs finds a way to win. As far as not knowing football, that is not a fair statement. Central has a good, enthusiastic coach that is starting to mold a good bunch of athletes. Last years game was one of the best games that I watched all year. If it is close in the 4th, watch out I think the underdog (MC) prevails.
  3. Who has CAK beaten? McMinn Central, though they did not play a good game is not that bad of a team. I seen Loudon and they looked fast and physical. I do agree that their pass defense is not the greatest, but they were tough. How often will CAK throw?
  4. I am not so sure about your Loudon statement, they are fast and strong. MC should have stayed closer, if they eleminate or minimize mistakes it is closer game. The question is, how down is LC. Are they? I agree that Meigs has that since of Pride for their community and school that gives them the edge. When MC gets this watch out. This could be the year of a turn around. MC needs this game, not only for now but the future. There seems to be a better atmosphere about football now. I think the change is about to take place. We will see?
  5. I think that MC is a good team. After the woopin that Loudon put on LCity this past Fri. I think it proves they played a great team in Loudon. Central is a better team than they have been in the past, could this year be the year they jump the Meigs hurrdle? With this big rivalry it makes it fun. I hope to see a good game.
  6. I don't know about field goals, but I will say that Polk wins easy.
  7. Tyner will beat the dog out of Bledsoe. Your right Polk County is a good discipline team, but not a fast team. The Rams will use their speed to score at will.
  8. Ooltewah 38 McMinn 7 McMinn offense consist of one player, Devon Johnson. Good, but Ooltewah will key on him. I think that the McMinn offense will put their defense in bad spots all night. Defense will play hard but can not overcome the play makers of Ooltewah.
  9. You don't have to pass the ball when you run as good as you do. I am telling you the MC team you played last week is a good ball team.
  10. Watched Loudon-McMinn Central last week. Central is not that bad, so I feel Loudon is that good. Team speed along with size. These boys can play. Loudon by whatever.
  11. Gotcha! Good Luck. I just hope that the two towns you represent see eye to eye. Thats the problem in my neck of the woods. I wil say in closing, if the communities are together that is half of the battle. Parents be seen not heard, let the players come together on their terms and success will be achieved.
  12. I am stressing that students from both towns see each other faces more frequent. It could be camps, summer workouts and so on. I do at the junior level think that your situation is better if you can merge two programs. Here is why? Lets say you have a running back at Vonore that does a good job, works hard, and gives great effort and this is the only position that he knows and has played since they can remember. On the other side you have a running back from Madisonville same situation, but there are two better than the one from Vonore. When they get to high school, the kid from Vonore does not earn the position because of the two in front of him from Madisonville. You have wasted a year on a Vonore kid that could have been concentrating on another position. I know that is a long drawn out explaination, but I feel at the junior level it is time to get the players acclimated to positions, finding their place. I do not disagree with having more than one feeder, I just feel that you get a better advantage working with player an extra year. Parent control earlier?
  13. It sounds as if your on the right track! I hope that more teams could see the benifit of joining forces in two town high schools. I think it would be nice to bring back community pride.
  14. Playing time is always going to be an issue, but if managed good, it can work. It would be nice if parents could see improvement instead of newpaper clippings. I would recommend then that each coach, especially at the junior level, start meeting with the High School coaches. I would also recommend trying to have summer workouts with both programs working together. This would be a great start!
  15. Well, at Central you do have a basketball feeder for the girls program called McMinn Fire. This is a group comprised of talent beginning in the third grade. These girls begin working with the assistant basketball coach. ( And we all know how successful that program is.) They work soley on fundamentals. They do travel, but it does not get real intense until about the 7th and 8th grades. The boys have pretty good elementary coaches. As far as football goes at Central, all the athletes end up choosing not to play so they can concentrate on either baseball or basketball. I am not saying that Central does not have good athletes playing football, just not all that should be out there. If you think about it, most of the coaches at the pee-wee level are Dad's. I am not saying this is all bad or they don't make good coaches, but sometimes it can get in the way. If you can find good knowledgeable people willing to take over, especially at the Juniors level, I feel the success rate of not only # of kids playing ball but a community could come together even more. I understand the #'s if you combine, but if people would understand that their children would get better at practice and not worry so much about playing time now a merge would work. If the high school coach gets involved and places his system along with the facilities at the elementary level, I think more kids would have a sense of belonging to the program. The coach at the HS would not have to train freshman coming up, they would already have the knowledge of what they needed to do.
  16. I agree, everyone at sometime has lost their cool and done something they wish they had not of done. I would say that the person bashing coach Derrick has had their fair share of mistakes.
  17. Region 3A was my question. How strong is WH?
  18. Otis, your a great guy but I think that you need to go visit Ange. MCentral is not a bad team at all, matter of fact they are pretty good. They faced a strong team last week in Loudon, and did not help themselves by so many mistakes. I am going MC.
  19. I was at the MCentral-Loudon game and I can tell you right now, Loudon is a good team. MCentral did a lot of things to hurt themselves, but Loudon looked big and fast. They may be for real?
  20. Let me help you. ( I am a person from OS and I follow OS football, and they are going to beat MC, do you hear me.) Same messege, just in a mature manner.
  21. I am going to assume that you are a younger person and your not responsible enough to be on this site. Please remove yourself or find a way to respond in a more mature manner.
