Talked to somebody who has coached for 26 years...and has known Bart Stowe all his life....He said: HE WILL DO GREAT AT DHS!...Give him time...He is young but he has been around football all his life and can COACH...People don't remember or know the he was a GA at Memphis State or The University of Memphis a couple of times...he is gonna keep the staff that is here...plus he is bringing one of the African American coaches with Haywood with him..plus I hear the Head coach from Lexington is coming as well....This guy has been around all the REALLY GREAT HIGH SCHOOL coaches and said..."YOU GUYS MADE A GREAT HIRE IN BART STOWE"...Time will tell....

I hear he is also trying to bring the LEXINGTON HEAD COACH with him as well....

I liked Darren...I think what he has done at OC and UC is amazing...He was in a "NO WIN" situation at Dyersburg when Logan Parker came down....That was THE TEAM everybody had been waiting on since they were in 8th grade...and Bowling WASN"T a discipilnarian....Kennedy was his hatchet man... That being said...Hope Stowe does alright...He is OUR COACH now...So we have to SUPPORT him...Word is he is bringing a RATHER LARGE African American coach with him...I have heard the kids talk and they say...THIS GUY IS HUGE...and they think he is gonna be part of Stowe's staff...wonder who he is?...

Go to Volchat...Volquest..any of the UT BOARDS...Apparently Lane Kiffin and Company liked "Z" upside but thought there were some ISSUES in the classroom...I know Ole Miss was the first to offer and a friend of "Z" even posted he was waiting on an offer...He VISITED UT...They didn't offer...

Bringing his father?....How old is Coach Stowe?....I am thinking he and Coach Tucker from Milan are about the SAME age and Coach Tucker is 75....That is what was told to me over the Thanksgiving Holidays....

He is awfully young at 33...But the Dyersburg bunch will have to GIVE him a chance....Heard he MIGHT be bringing a REALLY good coach with him though...stay tuned...

Why Stowe?...I am an alumnus of DHS...I support my team.....but this is one I gotta question...Stowe from Haywood...If that is the case...I am shocked...I know he had a lot of TALENT at Haywood...What else does he bring to the table?...anybody from Haywood care to elaborate?... I always said Counce does more with less...I always thought Stowe did less with More"... I know his dad was a really good coach at Lexington...How many region titles did he win?....With the names I heard thrown around IF THIS IS TRUE...Then it is a shocker to me... I know the "COUNCE ERA is over and done with at DHS...but this one puzzles me....I always thought Bowling did a lot with less at OCHS...but he couldn't/wouldn't stand up to the pressure....( Not saying we are Maryville or Alcoa ) but what is this guy's record?....I don't know....Hope it isn't true...Heard it was...guess we will find out tomorrow...

Mom...I think you mean WHITE HOUSE...A school North of Nashville...Randy Newsome coached there..Could be wrong but I haven't heard anything about White Station?...I have heard about the coach from White House though...

Who is the coach out of Memphis?...

How else are you supposed to HANDLE a bunch of KNOT HEADED BOYS...ages 14-18?...I have never figured that out..."You can't let them run the candy store..They will eat up all your candy"...I have heard parents FREAK OUT over a coach grabbing a kid by the face mask and shaking him...I thought that was what they were for! LOL....Football is a VIOLENT game and it requires discipline and TEAM WORK and SOMEBODY HAS TO BE IN CHARGE....No matter HOW MUCH TALENT YOU HAVE..If you haven't got that?...You haven't got much...

I wish McCord would have scheduled Humboldt and Lake County AT DYER COUNTY....Talk about a money maker...and I guarantee...There aren't MANY AA teams that are gonna beat Humboldt or Lake County...ESPECIALLY this year....Now that would be a game to go see DC vs LC or Humboldt...What about it McCord in the future?....Those teams are ALWAYS loaded...can't do anything but make you a BETTER team win or lose...Scheduling those TOUGH TEAMS out of your district...helps you down the stretch....DC vs either one of those two...ESPECIALLY this year....Man, people would be coming from EVERYWHERE to watch that....JMO....

I think that ALL THAT BIG MONEY that supposedly was paid to COACH Counce and Counce jr. was like a lot of other things that people hear...EXAGGERATED....Who knows what they were paid?...Only the administration and them...Who knows who we land?...One thing HE BETTER BE A DISCIPLINARIAN...That is one thing from Coach Counce that has RUBBED off on the Dyerburg bunch...Gotta be STRONG in the discipline department...

Talked to A COUPLE of the HEAD HONCHOS at DHS...Nobody has been hired...They are STILL LOOKING...and there are a COUPLE of BIG NAMES that will shock some people...Don't know if they are interviewing to BOOST their salary where they are at...But some BIG names on the list at DHS...I was floored to be honest...

UT NEVER OFFERED according to Volquest and Volchat...Ole Miss is the ONLY school that offered...UT seems to be worried about "Big Z" in the classroom....

There has NEVER BEEN A BIGGER COUNCE supporter than I....Coach Counce was the best coach Dyersburg ever had IMO..."Junior" is as good an offensive line coach and S+C coach as you will find...but obviously he wanted to return to MBA because he wants someday to coach in the college ranks we wish him well...With that being said... THE COUNCE ERA IS OVER...Whoever or Whomever Dyersburg hires...This community and school BETTER EMBRACE and SUPPORT THEM...because like it or don't like it...The COUNCE ERA IS OVER AT DHS...It is done with...There will be no "JUNIOR" coming back or Coach Counce coming out of retirement...Whover we get we better SUPPORT them and get behind them...because if we don't..Then this job will be like "THE OAKLAND RAIDERS OR THE DALLAS COWBOYS"...It will be a freaking revolving door...We don't need that...We have a 1,000 yd Plus rusher who is the single season scoring record holder in DHS history coming back in "Snook" Taylor and a lot of depth...whoever takes this job...SUPPORT THEM...because Coach Counce isn't coming back..neither is "Junior"....It is a new era at DHS ...Let's support the new coach and move ahead!...GO TROJANS!...

They offered the job to Kevin Ward at Camden...He turned it down...

It is in today's State Gazette.... Yes he announced it yesterday...Told everybody...Counce Jr. went back to MBA at the end of December...to be S+C coach plus offensive line coach...and YOU CAN"T BLAME JAMES COUNCE JR....MBA is one of the most prestigious high schools in the nation...The academics are second to none...He has TWO boys that will have their tuition paid...He will be coaching D-1 quaility linemen...Living in Nashville...To me ..THOUGH I HATE TO LOSE THE COUNCES....It was a NO-BRAINER...to me as far as James Counce Jr..going to MBA...Hate to lose them...They were the best coaches Dyersburg ever had....Hopefully the administration takes their time and makes a GREAT HIRE....

Phillips was the big kid who played Center for the BTW basketball team last year...Saw him in the sub-state against Dyer County...Like Several inter-city kids in Memphis as of late...he transferred to Olive Branch to play football...and now has committed to UT...Said at BTW..."I didn't even have an offensive line coach"...Those Memphis inner city schools for the most part are ALL ABOUT THE ROUND BALL....

According to VOLQUEST....Monte Kiffin and Coach "O" called Jeff Morris at 6 am Friday to let him know they would be at the school...They talked to Williamson and Coleman...The newspaper people wanted to talk with them but checked with the NCAA and found they couldn't interview them on school property ...So they went across the street and talked to Monte and "O" in their car...Said their cell phones were ringing constantly...anyway...after that it was on the Henry County to talk with McFerrin and later on to Memphis...This was what was posted on Volquest...Don't know if it is right or now...Just don't shoot the messenger...

According to VOLQUEST.....CLK was there to watch "Z" Mason...Saw some film on him..loves his UPSIDE...Wants him as either as DE or TE...Think Antonio Gates or for you old timers...Sam Clancy Sr. never played a down of football in college but ended up having a long NFL career as as DE with the Browns and a few other teams... and before people get too carried away by how many "STARS" a kid has by their name...Oklahoma is playing for the national championship with one kid who was a 5 star...Gerald McCoy..The DT.....Teague if UT had gotten in on him earlier would have been at UT...Matter of fact CLK asked Joe Gaddis..."How do I keep this kid's in state?"...Gaddis said it was "QUITE REFRESHING TO HEAR"...Fulmer thought that kids in Tennessee should just RUN TO KNOXVILLE....Give him another year to get a complete staff and watch the job he does at UT...

Mitchell was KILLING David Lipscomb on the ground last year in the semi's...then would START passing.....If it isn't broke...DON"T FIX IT.....It would be scary if those kids had some REALLY good coaching....Great talent at Mitchell...

To all the Milan Bulldogs...GOOD LUCK..it felt like a reunion for me...Ran into my old room mates that I haven't seen in years...Coach Tuckers' son Mike...Joe Williams...The Parkins girls...My good friend Tim Knight...Good lord it was like OLD TIMES!....Way to go Bulldogs and good luck next week...

MG I know Click was a senior...But I thought we had a FEW offensive linemen who were SENIORS...Taylor Hall was a senior wasn't he?...

I notice Mr. Milam that Malone WAS ATTEMPTING extra points last week for Mitchell against Dyersburg...He didn't do it this week?.....Also what did Malone do...I told everybody that THAT KID WILL PLAY ON SUNDAY if something doesn't go wrong...Talked to a recruiter and he told me that Lawson was going to be rated one of the top recruits in the country for 2010....And BTW what did Zach Rogers do?....He is the real deal.....How did he fare against Mitchell?...
