Blind Draw? Are we all blind? Based on Eurosports ranking from last week numbers 1,2,4,6 and 8 are in the tournament along with 3 not ranked. The top 4 play #8 and the 3 non-ranked teams. This would however be what we would expect if we were not told that it's a blind draw!

I don't normally agree with OakPat, but I have to question the blackman ranking. I have seen them play and they played well, but look at their non-district wins. District 8 and 9, but not the top competion in either district.

Many points have been made about MTHF not having a season ending championship. But these points were wrong. They won the 2008 Boys National Homeschool Soccer Championship in the silver division. Define Aid. Most programs have some sort of player fee. But there are always a few that cannot come up with the fee. They are not denied access. Isn't this Aid? Would this make that school private?

Panther, If it just tuition and financial aid? Then we would need to know how the Fire are funded. Do they run it like a club team and the cost is split amongst the players? That would equate to tuition. Most club teams also have something in place for players who can't pay the full bill. That would be financial aid. I would still rather they are allowed to tryout for the high school team to which they are zoned. If the coach of the team does not want them for any reason they don't make the team.

If this bill passes how will it be inforced? How will we know that the players are at the correct school? Oh, we must grow the TSSAA so they can inforce the new law. That's what we need more governmental control. Do they inforce the current regulations? Maybe on other sports, but it does not appear so on soccer. If the TSSAA decides to sanction the Fire which district do they go in? I can see the board light up now. Oh, but I need to answer the question. Is it fair. We will never agree on a question such as this.

I have no problem with home schooled kids taking part in extracurricular activities. Their parents do pay taxes. They would be taking advantage of part of the things which our taxes go toward. Most of us, thankfully, don't use all tax funded benefits. Soccer recieves very little tax money in our area anyway. If they are allowed to participate correct school assignment should be validated. Of course, we need to do that with current players too. We already have that problem this could make it worse.

Just answer akula's question. Not all of us were there. We would like to know too.

I am a ref. I read the rules. I don't have them here, but it is size appropriate. If the chart states that it is for the players height and is NOCSAE certified then it is legal. All bodies are different. One player could have short legs another long but be the same height. They wear the same size shinguard. Rule states 2 inches from ankle. Nothing about knee. Hope this helps.

No matter where you were standing I doubt you were on the field. Therefore you were out of position. Did the ball go out, in the air, after the player kicked it for the cross? Are you sure? Get a license. Ref some games. You will realize you can't see it all.Then come back and say you know better than the refs. You may view the game differently.
