in order for MC to win this, they HAVE to get off the field on Defense...Indy has too many playmakers to let them win the time of possession. i would like to see some long sustained drives by MC also to keep indy's offense off the field. and to the kids on MC's defense....WRAP UP THE BALL CARRIER

seems like we've been saying this every year since Hightower and company graduated, MC has the athletes to play with anyone, but will this be the year they put 2 and 2 together??? Walker is a freak of an athlete, as is Howard. i believe they return one of their RBs from last year too, Baugh #2, runs like a battering ram. should have a very well balanced offense this year the defensive front return some starters, as well as some players who rotated in with the starters, combine that with the number of skilled players in the defensive backfield, and MC defense COULD be a force to reckon with. i want to see what kind of mentality OC plans on instilling into this young guys, i hope for alot more discipline and heart.

dont expect this one to be close after the 3rd...as much as i'd like to see the tigers win this...we're too inconsistent and too predictable which are 2 things you DONT want to be going against one of the top teams in the state. but i will do a lil searching on the bright side of things, IF (and this is a serious stretch here) IF we can keep it close deep into the 4th, we can definately keep it interesting. But again im a realist, so i'm saying 28-7 at the half, and a final score of 49-28 GC rooting for MC but still gotta know the difference in fantasy and reality

grats to Cascade. we all knew they're a good team and should never be overlooked...and they got overlooked...tough loss for MC, lets hope to rebound next week.

the outcomes of all of MC's games from here on out are going to depend on WHICH MC SHOWS UP. If we come in and play to our potential, it could be ugly by half time. BUT if the MC that showed up last week shows up tonight, dont be shocked if Cascade hangs around and makes a game out of it. this is a big game for MC getting a chance to go to 4-0 in the district bc we all know in this district, that single district loss can keep u out of the playoffs. SO my guess is if the good MC shows up 56-21 MC with most of the points by cascade against the reserves, if MC comes out slack, 24-21 MC with a field goal late in the fourth to seal it. But MC really needs to come out and make a statement imo.

Shelbyville's return man, dont recall his name believe he is #6, is a phenomenal athlete. Calling him a burner may be an understatement. Watched him catch a punt that shoud've been fair-caught mid-spin move to get away from a defender.

Joe Moos is a heck of a coach, and a great guy. played for him in marshall county, man really knows his stuff.

got a feeling the MC-GC game can go only 1 of 2 ways...down to the wire, or mercy rule by the half...depends on which MC team shows up! Should be interesting to say the least though. MC has shown in its last 2 games that they can come back from adversity after dropping their first 2 in a less than striking fashion. Will be fun to see how this team matures and meets its opponents in the following weeks. GO TIGERS

well...having seen MC against Shelbyville and Independence...they usually start off strong, but if they get down a few scores, they give up. As an MC alum it's kinda depressing seeing how far the program has come since i've graduated. They have the athletes to compete with anyone they play, but seems like they've failed to do so in their first two games...i hope they come out friday and show out, but idk...i hate to sound like a downer, but im a realist

got to say im also surprised to hear "cheap shots" being directed towards Lipscomb. Watched them play MC at their jamboree and played for MC against them when we were in the same region, they were always the most respectful team we played against. knock you down, score 60, help you up. rinse and repeat til u cry lol

Actually that was the correct score his senior year, it was my junior year. That was an ugly game for us, couldnt keep our offense on the field long enough to give the defense a rest, then they just wore us down. Good game plan though, cant take that away from them. And as for the socks, please dont get me started.

True the MC players havent experienced the State Championship themselves...but seeing as how GC has, think they might be over-confident and over-looking MC? Could come back to bite them in the butt. Just a thought.

OK...being a MCHS alum, im gonna pull for the Tigers...however im not gonna just say that without giving my honest pediction. IF MC can keep pressure on Cobb, keep the ball on the ground (keeping GC's offense OFF the field), and get the D off the field in 3rd down situations, then MC "should" take this one. now if MC pulls what they did in game 1 against GC, im gonna say it'll be a upset by GC. GC has improved their game alot and are in the 3rd round of the STATE PLAYOFFS for a reason. Tigers cannot overlook them this time around or it will bite them in the...well you know what i mean
