This years team showed why DB is always the best year in and year out. This team was chosen to be one of the worst in the league but by the time the year was over they were easily in the upper half of the leauge if not in the top 3. Now if you call this a down year i will take this for a down year every year because one down year in ten if that ill be happy as long with everyone else. Good year Miles Chase, Garret Rich, Lane Taylor, and Trevor McNew showed that heart can do anything.

I would just like to ask heatplaya where he comes from that gives him a right to say someone or some team is not classy? I think it has been said do not judge one person as they will be judged later as so you will. Also reloading science hill had one maybe two new impact players on this team. DB had to reload everyone and still almost beat a two seed. Science Hill cant beat a team from Knoxville with the same team. Theres a difference in winning the big 9 and winning sub state just ask all the kids from the teams last year

The system stinks. It was amazing in the 90's i believe when it was when the region semis, region finals, and sub state were all win or go home. This would be a lot better if they went back to this cause not only do you need two pitchers you also need an extra because most pitchers after pitching a hard Monday probably couldn't make it all game Friday.

Bartlett is good I'm using good as an understatement because they are just winning a state championship away from being great because if they do their business once they get back to playing games in Tennessee they will easily be a top 10 or if not even a national championship. All you have to look at is Oakland and Dobyns Bennett because both loss three and five games respectively i think throughout the year and Oakland was top 10 i believe and i think DB was right on the border of top 25. I wish all the luck to Bartlett as they continue on just remember one game at a time and with as good of team they have they should win a lot more then they lose.

pitching that much is just ridiculus and Anderson will be good and if Benjiman McKinney is still in state u have to throw him in the mix to

Derek Trent from DB has a chance its just now a matter of where i think according to tricitiessports great kid who ever gets him will have a fine young man besides that idk bout ppl getting drafted

i wish i could see the warrior classic but up here in east tenn. here it is the sports belle but with the field yall are getting 4 the warrior classic i might have to take a road trip next year just to see it

now dont get me wrong im a fan of title 9 and all its just that this is ridiculus u have "athletic" scholarships given to girls who have done nothing to deserve them (meaning not played the sport) while u have other women and men playing their hearts out in school and making the grades all 4 nothing i mean dont get me wrong we need equality but not when it comes with an injustice to another sector of the public this is an example of the government trying to help the little people and it not working the way it should.

that would be a great observation but the only problem is..... he is so terrible i dont think he could try to favor one team over another i mean wouldnt u have to know what is the right call to make the wrong one to help a team out

thats a shame as those kids would had been great additions to the team if that is true but just hope they can show delmonico what kind of mistake that was as they play in college

good points bout the arms being spent but i was just thinking of the excitment like the goodpasture USJ and thinking getting the games like that everyday but guess u couldnt plan on that but it would be nice if u had 2 equally matched teams that had the pitching 4 it to see the three games

forget state championship Bartlets goal for next year should be NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and i hope they succeed so everyone can see how strong tennessee baseball is

the only bad thing bout the current format is u just need one dominate pitcher and it doesnt reward u for having a great pitching staff and give it more of a college feel at the end of the tournament

y not go back to this without the homefield as the loss of money would be made up in the wednsday game as that would now be just as big as sub state imagine science hill db playing with win or go home or farragut sd imagine how many ppl would be at those games and the intensity

all i am sayin is as good as that game was imagine coming back today 4 game 2 and getting another game as good as that and then maybe another wouldnt that just add to the excitment?

that is fine bout the umpires i mean i dont think the blues went out there on purpose to hurt SD but dont ever say a high school team gave up because kids on these teams will do ne thing to play just a few more games

how do ppl on here say a team quits these kids have gone through in the more then 4 years then some of u would even no about so dont say a team quit unless someone on the team says it.

what would u all think of a 3 game series to determine the champion but since TSSAA wont add the two games why not make wednesday in region week a must win that way once u get away from district its all must win. To me this would add a lot more excitment to every game played plus who wouldnt want to see more games betweent the 2 best teams in state

UT and Auburn both lost a great a pitcher in Bell good luck to Bell in college and the rest of the SD team

SD one win away and if they do win the first almost a lock to win with Bell pitching

this tournament is wide open but SD has to be the fav but who knows wouldnt the tournament between sub state losers be quite great the number 2 team in the nation and another top 30 and to think Tennessee is a football state

ne thing but UT for baseball as they let 2 all americans go through their fingers somehow in Haun and Derek Trent and then let a pitcher like Bell i mean give me a break hopefully SD can go down to state and bring it back to East Tenn
