Sad .... no Beech playday tomorrow. Oh well, try again at the end of the week.

If anybody hears anything about the Beech Playday, please report it on here. Does anybody know how those fields look? Did they get much rain in Hendersonville?

Maybe if we all start posting video of terrible ref-ing, they'll work towards making it better. Or, maybe it will help hold the refs accountable. It really has gotten terrible. These girls work too hard to have uneducated or biased referees hurting the game.

Starting this season girls who have been on a college roster will not be able to play ASA summer ball, even if they're age appropriate. Up until this year, if a girl was the right age, she could play ASA regardless of being on a college roster.

I agree, TN Explosion Gold will be the team to beat. For sure going to be a new kind of Gold now that the college girls can't play. Be interesting to see how it effects everyone.

Seriously......Slapper1??!! Not really sure what point, or lack of, you're trying to make. You beat......WHO CARES? Of course Div 1 is going to be broad, it covers many schools across the nation with many different levels of programs. That being said, I trust you weren't minimizing these young ladies accomplishments. Surely you do know that NCAA Division 1 athletics is still the pinnacle crown of achievement for an athlete, regarless of your opinion of their particular program. Don't downplay a school, a program, an athlete, just because it doesn't fit your profile of success. There will be athletes winning Gold medals this week who physically worked harder than I could ever imagine, standing along side athletes who used a broom and swept ice. Both acheived their pinnacle crown of achievement......in what worked best for them. And I dare not downplay either. p.s. more than 6 2011 girls have committed to D1 schools and they aren't all Worth girls.

Does anybody know where I can see a bracket with dates/times for the 9AA district tournament? I know their not finished yet but I can at least see the possible dates and times for play. I do know it's at Vol State.

That score is right. From what I've heard Goodpasture has come a long way this season, beat David Lipscomb, took DCA into double OT and lost by one, and are having a winning season so far. Looks like a good coach can work wonders

The 16 Fury and Knox Thunder 93 were battling for first last i heard. Fury would have to be beaten twice. Thunderbolts came in 3rd. Predators came in 4th

Ok so what has happened to the tournament? Do you think that maybe there was too much going on in the area causing a decrease in affordable accomodations, etc....., that caused some of the better teams to stay away? I don't think I've ever seen such a weak gold division. One of the college scouts even commented to me that the 18A's had some stronger competition. From what I saw, there were definitely a few of those regular 18's that should have and could have played gold. The Bama team was the real deal.

Last update I got for 16's was: Winners bracket - Worth Cobras and Impact (both GA teams) Battling in the Losers bracket - Fury, Thunderbolts, GA Fire, Storm My predicition is the GA Impact got it all. Anybody know how it ended?

In my opinion, she is THE best all around player to come out of middle tn and maybe the whole state of tn. I did hear that she will play at motlow next year but I'm hoping she continues it in Dl after that. That chic had more talent and potential than any player I've ever watched. I'm still trying to figure out how that 'unbulked' little thing could hit homers with such ease.

I was watching the Beech game next door to ya'll and when your game was over, we were all thinking that maybe the AA championship finals were tonight. You'd of thought that someone just won STATE by all the hoopla. Be careful behaving like all that prematurely, and like my daddy used to tell me,, "act like you've been here before" for goodness sake.

Please help me with this - Typically there is a District All Tournament Team chosen but what if your district played a few tournament games but ended up calling it and awarding the championship to the team with the least losses. Will players be chosen for an all tournament team?
