  1. Think again! Fumbles, interceptions, false start, off sides, completed pass, incomplete pass, good call ref, bad call ref, out of bounds, time ran out... Its all just part of the game! Cap1 - SHUT-UP ALREADY! Everyone is sick of hearing you cry. I swear, after Greeneville gives you'all a beat-down, I will diaper you myself and give you a pacifier.
  2. So what are you saying? Someone is slipping $$$ to TSSAA officials??
  3. Boo Whoo - Boo Whoo All the calls went against you guys, eh? If your crying tonight, maybe you will need a diaper change next week?
  4. Like I said, 2 or 3 (neutral) people can see the same thing 2 or 3 different ways. I think it is called "perception". Maybe not - yeah I think so - oh crap man, that aint the way it was at all - yeah it was, I seen the whole thing - how could you see it from where you were sitting - no, all y'all got it wrong, let me tell you how it is...
  5. AMEN! Check out the TH vs SH board tonight. With all the gripping on there from TH people, you would have thought they lost the game! God help us if they get beat.
  6. AlumnI01 . . . I agree with you on seeing the field and jumbo tron. Its amazing how 2 or 3 people can see a big gray elephant walk across the road and see 2 or 3 different things. And about the referees, yeah, there was a few missed calls, but overall I thought it was a decently called game. And I was on the sidelines with a camera, so I seen things up close and personal.
  7. 6A #7 Science Hill vs. 5A #9 Tennessee High - The battle begins in Johnson City at 7:30 TONIGHT!
  8. Your dreamin! No way TH hangs 35 on S-Hill!
  9. The only question in these four games is SH vs. TH D-B, SH, South and Crockett all win Friday night.
  10. Tenn High has played S.East, Crockett and Va High. I think its safe to say Tenn High hasn't been tested. But, what does that mean? Less bruises? More confidence? Who knows? I've seen both teams play and it is hard to tell with TH because I don't think they have been pushed yet. Personally IMO, TH is okay, but I haven't been impressed. Maybe they will impress me Friday night?? SH's offense has strong/fast running backs and really fast receivers and a good running QB, but can't seem to put it all together for 4 quarters. I'm not counting Volunteer. And TH is NO Volunteer. SH's defense is solid. Should be a good game. I read in a TH post that TH should go 8-2 with losses to D-B and Greeneville and another loss would be an upset. Would a loss to SH really be an upset?? Not in my opinion. SH 20-14 TH
  11. It won't be close. Good coaching from Witten will probably keep it close in the first half, but the second half S-Hill by 17 or more.
  12. Tuff and hard fought game. First game gitters. Lots of things can be fixed. My biggest question is??? "Who's calling the plays for South? Hmm?? Could the South's running backs, run the ball more?? Looked to me like the South qb ran the ball to much. Don't get me wrong, the South qb did a good job running the ball, I just thought South has a couple pretty good rb's and should have been used more.
  13. YAWN -- We all know Bud how many games you boys have won over there. We've heard these points over and over again.
  14. It didn't matter anyway, AD's first choice was Carter. Science Hill just needed to accommodate Carter's wishes and bring in a coach or two and pick which one's he wanted to stay.
  15. I agree! Everybody talks about DB being a class act. I thought the same thing. They could have at least washed their underwear before they came to dinner.
  16. Are tight ends, considered linemen? Anyway, Brendan Downs from Tennessee High ran away with the linemen race. Ryan Mitchell of Science Hill won the running backs race. I think the Sullivan Central QB won the longest throw. Tennessee High kicker won the longest kick. And so on and so forth. *Hard to tell who is dogging it and who was giving it their best effort. The scores may not be exactly correct. (1st Q) Boone vs. Crockett - Either Boone looked worse than I thought or Crockett looked better than I thought. Or both. Neither one looked impressive. 7-0 Boone (2nd Q) Tenn. High vs. South - Overall I thought South looked pretty good. Both teams need to tackle better. 14-7 South (3rd Q) D-B vs. Volunteer - Volunteer is much improved, but D-B has way to much speed for VHS. I got the feeling D-B was dogging it a little. 9-7 D-B (4th Q) Central vs. Science Hill - Lightning storm rolled in and cut the 4th quarter in half. Again - way to much speed for Central. 21-0 SH
  17. IMO the offense is ahead of the defense at SH at this point and time. Which is I believe, unusual. Most of the time it is the offense trying to get caught up to speed. Passing game looks particularly strong. Whoever is responsible for vandalizing the center of the new football field, was a very classLESS act! I don't understand some people these days.
  18. S-Hill is very talented. What's new, right? Probably more so at skilled positions. But, the boys need to step it up a notch or two. If Carter can do that, look out. From what I see, they need to mentally toughen up. Get an "attitude" of whipping someone on the field. S-Hill has a lot of work to do. The Seymour/Campbell County scrimmage was ok for a first scrimmage. Greenville will be looking to make a statement in the scrimmage Thursday. We will see where they are at when they meet.
  19. Wow, already looking at 2011? Might as well go ahead and tell us how the 7th graders do this next year and let us take a look at 2014. Start with this season and have success first. If you don't have much success this year, you will be hard to even think about 2011 yet. I was just giving my opinion! And you want to be a smart***! This is why I don't come here very often. Have a nice day
  20. Confident is probably a good word for S-Hill this 2010 season. I will go ahead and say in 2011, S-Hill will be VERY CONFIDENT!
  21. I can agree that that'll hurt him in future coaching. Whatever does happen it sure has been kept quiet in anything having to do with the press. This happened right before Spring Practice so.....do they already have a new coaching staff picked out?[/quote] I don't want to drop any names yet, but I will say that Scott Nelson should have a job opening at Science Hill soon.
  22. I don't care who you are .500 ball is mediocre! And going to the playoffs with a 5-5, 4-6 or worse, people shouldn't be happy or content with that. And if you are happy and content, the program will never get better. But, in Happy Valley's case, it is more than wins and losses. And Verran is being a a-----e about the situation he has found himself. Does he think he is the first coach to be fired? He should keep his mouth shut and move on. My opinion, Verran is just hurting his future in coaching. By the way he and ONE of his coaches have reacted to this firing is dishonorable. Sending text messages to players to leave HV and go to Elizabethton is NOT COOL! Verran has got the best interest of the kids and the HV program in mind? I THINK NOT.
