football time, ready to put last year behind us. Looking forward to a better year for the Govs. Someone that knows please tell me, even after 3 coaches in what? 9 months, please tell me these guys will have a much better year! Does any one know when games start and where?

Rebel9 ever heard of a joke? It has been implied on here and by some said that WB is scaried of Alcoa and replace them with weaker teams. I replied Sevier Co, DB, and Maryville are not weaker teams. Then one implied Alcoa was much better than Sevier Co, and DB. So I just agreed that they are the best.

Your right, Alcoa might be best team in state last 4-5 years, maybe nation, some one as bad as DB couldn't have beat Alcoa. I really can't see how Maryville gets so lucky.

WB non- region games, Maryville, SC, and DB, hardly easy games. I know Alcoa is good, but year in year out not better or scarier than these 3.

great game Soddy, #3 QB very good, can't remember a bad pass, he puts them were they belong and on time. #7 very good, good speed, WB made mistake of kicking to him not once but twice. He is a good receiver also. very good passing team, didn't show very good run attack but didn't have to. WB couldn't slow passing game. Over all, Soddy was very impressive, also coaching staff showed a lot of class at end of game by taking Knee 3 times at end when they could have added another TD. Good luck rest of year.

on bad night Maryville by 14, otherwise by 28 Maryville has clear road til at least 73-0 and I'm not even a Maryville fan, sorry Clinton

Exciting game. Sterling, best high school back I have ever had chance to see. WB had to go for 2, because I do not think we could stop Sterling in over time either. Keep heads up Govs, maybe we can see them again in playoffs.

Great game! I'm WB fan, both teams should be proud as well as fans. About Refs, in every game there are always questionable calls, both way, some games more than others. WB fans please quit talking about the calls, this was a great game an we can be proud. Its obvious teams are evenly matched, game could have been won by either team, it just ended the wrong way. Still alot of games left and we showed we belong. Congrats both teams. Stars, get real, its easy to say you welcome rematch when you know it can not happen. Maryville happy they won't have to play WB again on way to Gold ball.
