  1. Looks like Father Ryan at MUS and MBA at BA for the semi-finals!
  2. Was that a dog whistle that I couldn't hear??? Ahh, G... good one!
  3. I don't think anybody has said anything to suggest that MUS is not an outstanding team. There aren't a lot of posters from the Memphis area, so we don't really hear or know a great deal about the Memphis area teams. Clearly we know (and are quite happy with) MUS's results against very highly regarded out of state teams. What I've read on the boards here has been very complimentary of MUS. Still, I can't help wonder about an element of hubris. Pity it's going to be played on a school night in a location that's convenient to pretty much no one. The TSSAA will never go for it, but it seems more sensible to look at establishing a neutral site once the two finalists are set. There are enough small college stadiums (or big Div II stadiums) to come up with something convenient to both schools, that can above all be played on a Friday night or a Saturday. It's worth remembering that this was done for years and drew good crowds. I'm pretty sure it is planned that if Ensworth makes it to the Championship, then they are cutting school early (and shipping EVERYONE) up there. Even though that is only ~450 kids it makes for a good crowd. Plus the lower school might get out too. It is a pain however that it is on a weekday but at least it is during the day so that might take some edge off of the cold. Wait... not only is the State Championship going to be played during the week and off the beaten path, but it is going to be played during the day? Tell me it's not so! Can the TSSAA think of any more ways to diminish the crowds that may want to actually watch this game?
  4. For some reason, I was not able to get this link to work... also tried to copy and paste and it still did not work...
  5. GPS 1 Brentwood Academy 1 Brentwood Academy scored first and controlled the ball the majority of the game. With seconds left in stoppage time, GPS kicks a floater over the BA keeper's head. No score during either overtime session and again BA maintains control of the ball. Goes to PK's and the freshman keeper for BA was no match for the outstanding keeper of GPS. All shots were made with the exception of the save by the GPS keeper. GPS wins with all five PK's made to BA's four.
  6. Somehow, if McCallie were to "kick Steeler Butt" I don't think that would make "Potter livid." Your original post made it sound as though you supported your team primarily to get revenge....
  7. What was your take on the kicking game, RRR? I have not been able to keep up with MBA so much this year, but I did remember your kicker as being spectacular in years past. Did he have an off night? Is he a senior this year? Capable of great things, but inconsistent. He's cursed with having such a great sophomore year on such a great team, and he's just never really achieved on that level since. In fairness, neither has his surrounding cast. One of his misses tonight was close, the other into what looked to be a pretty stiff wind. That's too bad.... So, is he a senior this year then?
  8. Heard this talented player was injured last night and left the field with a neck collar. Does anyone have any details on his injury? I hope he will be alright and that this was just a precaution.
  9. What was your take on the kicking game, RRR? I have not been able to keep up with MBA so much this year, but I did remember your kicker as being spectacular in years past. Did he have an off night? Is he a senior this year?
  10. I know the District Finals are at 7:00 pm... just not sure of the date or place. I believe the game is tonight but have no idea where. This match, during regular season is always a great one. During post season, it is undeniably one of the best of the entire season across all divisions. I asked on a thread previously, "where" in a reply to the results of the semi's, but I cannot remember which thread. Not following in dog's pawprints.... I don't drink and post! Just getting old, I guess. Someone please help!
  11. Ensworth beat BGA last night 2-0. Ensworth will host Briarcrest and GPS will host Brentwood Academy.
  12. Oh... ok... so that explains so much about H20dog.... jk !
  13. Happy you saw the humor in that, h20dog!
  14. I was unable to get it posted with xx/xx/xx though. I looked previously in the info posted at the top and do not remember anything about date formats. Also, because I had a new computer and was not "signed in" I was unable to add the schedule. Evidently, I had not posted anything since getting the new computer.
  15. We all know why you are gushing Water Dog... St. Agnes moved up considerably in the polls.
  16. Gotta love Father Ryan being ranked number 2 in Div II! They have 3 losses already! I know at least one team without a loss that isn't even ranked.... and that team beat Father Ryan!
  17. Yes, please let us know about Luke Colbert. That kind of injury is always scary...
  18. Yes, it did. I see where the schedule is finally posted. Had problems also with getting the date put in with the right format. Nowhere that I could find was it posted that you had to enter dates of the games in a xx/xx/xxxx format. All better now!
  19. I would love to post a schedule, but I am having trouble trying to figure out how. I even posted one last year, but that was a whole year ago and I cannot remember how to do it. I've read through some of the threads and FAQ's and I don't see anything that would help. If you could give me a hint, I will be happy to do it!
  20. Kathy Kroeger was named THE HEISMAN WINNER! Congratulations, Kathy! http://www.tennessean.com/article/20081213/SPORTS07/81212091
  21. Nelson did alright the first drive (nice long pass, etc.) until the turnover. It was not his best performance the rest of the game as was true for the entire team. Turnovers, obviously was the big problem and I can't remember if Cody was responsible for any of those. He was injured during the second half. Hamby played well. Couple of nice passes and a 10 yard touchdown run. I'm sure all of this took place after the subs came in, however.
  22. Congratulations, MUS! You deserve to be called the State Champions of the Divsion II AA! Barry Brunetti was incredible and looks like a man among boys! Heck, I think he could be the Tennessee Volunteers right now.... LOL! No doubt, he will earn the Mr. Football award. Anyway, it was a well earned win and a terrific season for you. Congratulations to your team and especially, Mr. Brunetti!
  23. Are you sure? I thought "webcast" meant both audio and video. How can you tell if you are getting just audio or audio and vidueo? BTW, I saw your post about them televising cheer and dance highlights and sure enough... it is on there! Wow!
