  1. I mentioned dou and Rob to point out the difference between them and you. They actually show some respect on here instead of dragging teams through the mud like you. I would love to hear how we have cheated. See my previous post with the TSSAA eligibility guidelines and tell me which rule we have broken. Now that I have answered the questions, I expect to not hear anything more from you about this.
  2. You know what, just to humor you and these Millington fans that won't give it up, I'll answer your questions. 1) One of the boys continues to practice and play for Craigmont. Him and his parents live in Raleigh and the transfer was cleared by the TSSAA. The other boy I have not seen for a few weeks. He practiced with us for a little bit during the summer. He wasn't cleared to play by the TSSAA, therefore he has not played a game with us. 2) If a letter was sent, the head coach did not tell me. He doesnt need a letter to be sent to make him not play a kid. He knows who is eligible and who is not. He knows this team is far too talented to risk it for one questionable case of eligibility. 3) The first kid is enrolled at Craigmont and has been fully cleared by the TSSAA. If the second kid is back at Millington, it is likely because he was told by the head coach he would not be able to play (if that is truly the case). From what I understand, the second boy was supposed to be moving but ended up not moving. I'm not sure if they still plan on moving but, AGAIN, we do not play anyone that has not been cleared by the TSSAA. How do we even know the kid is back at Millington? Tell me how we have broken any rules by letting a kid who transferred play. Here are the eligibility guidleines from the TSSAA so you can see for yourself - TSSAA Eligibility Now that I have answered these questions - though I do not think I should have had to - IS THAT GOOD ENOUGH??????
  3. If people like you would stop making stupid accusations that are false I wouldn't have to worry about it. I'm not gonna let you trash the program just because you think noone from Craigmont gets on here. It's the Millington people like you that give dou and Rob a bad name.
  4. Thanks fballfan. I hope we get to rematch yall as well. That was one heck of a game. Not that exciting to watch (except for about the last 5-6 minutes), but a good hardfought defensive battle. Good luck to yall this year
  5. You know what - I've said all I need to about this. I am tired of year after year getting on here to defend Craigmont against the same Millington folks. I know we are doing things the way they need to be done. We don't play tranfers until they are cleared by the TSSAA. Anyone who thinks otherwise is - to put it politically correct - misinformed. How about we talk about football and not who is or isn't tranferring? It really gets old.
  6. Probably wondering when they will get back to the days of 1998-1999
  7. If you honestly think that any coach at Craigmont has done anything remotely like what you are implying, then you are terribly mistaken. Kids will transfer over and they do not see the field unless everything is legit. Are coaches supposed to tell a kid that he can't play football because he changed schools? That is one thing that county schools just do not understand about how city school programs work. Yes, your county school may have a few less problems with kids cutting up in the school or getting into some sort of trouble, but for many of these kids, football (or any other sport) keeps them off the streets. We deal with it. This is definitely not to say that all of our team is filled with a bunch of troublemakers. We have a TON of kids on the team that are great kids and have great home lives. But we also have those kids that can be a headache and have TERRIBLE situations at home. We won't boot a kid off the team just because he caused us a little headache. One of our main priorities is to keep these kids from being taken by the streets. People in Millington, Munford, Arlington, etc don't have to worry about stuff like that. We do. It is the sad truth, but we have to keep that in consideration before we cut a kid loose. I don't even know the number of kids we have kept off the streets and on the football team to help them make a better life for themselves. It's not all about winning football games.....it is also about helping kids improve their situation and winning the battle with the streets of Memphis. If that makes us wrong, then so be it. Rant over
  8. That game between Ridgeway and the Haven is gonna be a good one. Sorry Senator, but I'll be pulling for Ridgeway and Coach Sutton
  9. As far as I know, he is not living in Craigmont's district anymore. Although, I have been known to be wrong.....just ask my ex. I know Coach Wiley would not have him playing unless everything was legit. That's why the player in question sat the first game - he hadn't been cleared to play by the TSSAA. But seeing that he played last game, he must have been cleared by the only folks that matter - the TSSAA.
  10. Different year, same BS. Everyone on here is SOOOO concerned with players that transfer. What about players that transfer from Craigmont to another school? That always seems to be left out. Any players that transfer to and play at Craigmont have been cleared by the TSSAA. Period. End of story.
  11. Ace has retired. I might soon too
  12. I think Whitehaven and Ridgeway both blow out their opponent. White Station is not anywhere near as good as Whitehaven and Houston will not be able to do anything against Ridgeway. I'd be surprised if they get more than 7-10 points against Ridgeway. I might be wrong, but I see both of these games with wide point spreads at the end of the game.
  13. Brighton is pretty good and as everyone knows, they can put up alot of points. I can't really say who I think will win because I haven't seen Millington at all. But what I can say is that Bartlett will not win the game through the air. Like it has been pointed out already, they are going to run, run, run, and run some more.
  14. 100% correct. Bartlett will have to grind it out on the ground and turn Brighton over a few times to pull this one out.
  15. I would be very surprised if Brighton doesn't win by at least 2 scores. Bartlett gave them a scare last year, so there will be no sneaking up on them this year. Brighton will be ready this time. That being said, I will be rooting for Bartlett to knock them off.
  16. Last score I heard for the Whitehaven/Hamilton game was 45-0 in the 4th quarter. Sounds like Whitehaven is the real deal.
  17. Thanks Trader. Couldn't have said it better myself....except for running the table. Briarcrest looks like they are improved and I haven't seen any film or heard a whole lot about their game against Brentwood Academy, but Kingsbury kind of worries me now. But I agree that Millington is a big road block in our way for the district. We'll just take it one week at a time and put our kids in the best position to succeed and hope they do.
  18. Well, now that we have played some REAL football and not jamborees, I think it is safe to assume you can throw out jamboree results. We took ZERO stock in what the jamboree showed us. We knew what we were capable of doing and knew we had a better squad than Kirby. That being said, there were a couple of surprises for me this weekend. Bartlett apparently dominated Bolton. But whether Bartlett is that good or Bolton is that bad is yet to be determined. Coach Welch usually has his teams ready to play, so I am going to just assume that Bartlett is that good for the time being. But I'm glad Coach Armbruster started off strong for the Panthers. Trezevant thumped Houston. This could be another situation of Houston being down, but still not too bad of a win for Trezevant. Do we still think they are a bad team? Briarcrest survived against White Station. From what I had heard about White Station, they would not be close to where they were last year but they seemed to hold their own against a pretty good Briarcrest team. What surprised me about this one was what someone said about Briarcrest being ineffective passing the ball. I thought Trey Becton (#1) would have a big game. But apparently I was wrong. But the biggest surprise of the first week by far for me was Overton going into Arlington and beating them. I was told that Arlington would likely struggle on defense this year, but to lose to a team that won I believe 1 game all last season is a big shocker. I understand that Arlington turned the ball over alot including 4 picks by the "starting" QB. Wonder how long he will hold on to that role?
  19. I have heard that MUS does not look as strong as they have been the past few years. But if they still have the QB that came in for Brunetti last year, he is very good. But what I have heard is that they struggle to run the ball. Good luck to everyone in their first game. The most wonderful time of the year is officially back....thank GOD
  20. Agreed. Ridgeway should be in this. White Station should be nowhere near this poll from what I have heard. Not too sure about Wooddale being as high as they are either. It seems like this poll is based too much upon what teams did last year. But I agree with the top spot hands down.
  21. Somebody that went said that Douglass, Ral-Egypt, and Cordova looked shaky. I'll wait to see Cordova in the regular season though. These are just jamborees after all. They're about as useful at seeing what a team has for the upcoming season as judging an NFL team on what they do during the preseason.
