  1. How can you say that is classless???? Coach Reid took the starters out with FIVE MINUTES TO GO IN THE SECOND QUARTER AND THEY NEVER WENT BACK IN. Alcoa also never passed the ball again after that, they just broke some long runs and scored a defensive touchdown. Coach Reid tried not to score by running the ball every play, what do you expect him to do, punt it on first down? Alcoa also shorted then quarters to eight minutes to try and hurry the game up. You can put this on Alcoa, they tried not to run the score up, because we know how it feels to have the score ran up on us. When Coach Meadowa was at Alcoa he ran the score up on everybody, and then when we were freshmen Sweetwater and Oliver Springs payed us back for that and so we felt what it was like to get the score ran up on us. People are just looking at the score and dont know what theyre talking about. TSSAA should do something to keep teams like GP out of the playoffs. Oh yea.... Alcoa 56 CAK 14
  2. My boy Duck is most def. the best back in TN, period. No other back on here is going to an SEC school, much less anywhere. Duck will go into UT as a freshmen and compete for time at a Top 10 football school in the nation. No other back on here can say that. Someone brought up a good point about Duck never getting to play the 4th quarter because Alcoa is blowing people out where the other backs get to play the whole game. Duck still puts up better numbers then these backs while only playing three quarters. No other back on here can say that. Last year Duck tied the state record for rushing touchdowns, and in my mind broke that record because he missed about a total of 2 games because of Alcoa blowing people out. No other back on here can say that. Duck is still putting up unrivaled numbers this year while having to split time with Chris Shiverdecker, who should have to wait his turn to get all those touches. Untill another back can say these things then this topic needs to end, period. Also, besides the Maryville kids, which back has put their team on their back and led them to a State Championship and win the MVP of the State Game??
  3. Someone said something about Alcoa not being able to get up for the State game after coasting for 6 or 7 weeks. ARE YOU DUMB??? HOW COULD YOU NOT GET UP FOR A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME??? Thats like saying a college team couldnt get up for the national championship or an NFL team get up for the super bowl. Alcoa will be more than ready for the state game and will be able to say "Kiss the rings tricks" (hint hint the plural on rings)
  4. This is very painful for me to say, but since I have always disliked WB more than Maryville, I am bringing myself to say it. After watching Maryville whoop us for 4 straight years, and watching them whoop teams that were suppose to come in and beat them(Powell, Central, Melrose, Gerald Riggs' team, and on and on) I can not pick against Maryville anymore. Maryville's coaching is to good for them to get beat, even with just a good team, not a great one. Maryville has beat great team after great team, and most of the time Maryville wasnt as talanted, but they were able to win because of coaching, pride, togetherness, and just flat out in your face football. Now saying that, WB is no where near a great team, so they have no chance against WB. Scott Meadows isnt a fourth the coach as Quarles and that is a huge advantage. Maryville always capitalizes on un-disciplined teams, and Coach Meadows' teams are always very undisciplined. Maryville 28 WB 7
  5. So you guys beat up on big bad CAK and now the Maryville game was a fluke huh? I don't guess Maryville had anything to do with you playing bad did they? Maryville has "fluked" up on Alcoa several times over the past few years haven't they?
  6. You do not say things like that in the paper because its disrespectful, espically when you havent proven a dang thing in high school football. You say something like that and it ends up hung up all over the locker room and then the team comes out with a vengence and you get beat 56-7. I thought CAK's offense was suppose to be so goooood. I guess against a real football team(Not little 1A schools) the offense cant produce. It will be a long year for CAK in 2-2A. Thanks CAK for volunteering for a tune up for us for next week against Fulton.
  7. Im going to take Alcoa in this one. Alcoa got embaressed by Maryville and I think they will come out against Fulton looking to gain back some respect. A lot of people are doubting the Tornadoes ability since they got blown out by Maryville and Alcoa will gain back some of this respect against Fulton. The Maryville game was a fluke with Alcoa playing their absolute worse and Maryville playing their best. Good luck Tornadoes and show em how we hold it down in the A-Town. Alcoa 28 Fulton 7
  8. How are you going to get on an Alcoa fan when your starting QB is talking crap in tne newspaper?? I mean CAK is already heavily over-matched against a team that is going to come out this week with something to prove. Talking crap in the paper about a defending state champ when you havent proved a singe thing in high school football is very very stupid. Every football player in the school had a copy of the paper this morning reading it. HAHA I guess learing from experience is the best avenue. I bet the rest of CAK's players were cussing their QB whenever they saw that in the paper this morning because they knew that it will translate into a even worse beating. Alcoa wins easily in a tune up for Fulton. Alcoa 56 CAK 14
  9. What the h*%$ is your problem? I bet I cant tell you though. You were probably the last kid to be picked for kickball in elementary school and never played a down of football in your life. That translates into you being very jealous of somebody that is making a name for themselves. If I ever see you in public I'g going to walk up to you, choke you, and see how you react. If you throw a punch or whatever to retaliate then you will see exactly why Brandon did it. But by looking at your post you would be most likely to let me sit there and choke you and be a tremendous coward. Keep your crap like that off of here and realize that you are talking about HIGH SCHOOL KIDS!!!!! If you think Brandon is such a thug, then what do you consider Scott Wilks and company that made that counterfit money? You prolly have posters of them on your wall and see them as your life time heroes. Get a life bro and again KEEP CRAP LIKE THAT OFF OF HERE!. Anyways, back to the real topic of this thread, the actual game. With the loss of Brandon I think this game will come down to the running game and whoever can make a big play on special teams. Both teams have 2 great running backs, but I would have to give the slight advantage to the Duck and Deck Show. I would also give the advantage to Alcoa's O-Line(I think thats a first) becaue at the jamboree Maryvilles line looked very small, but they are probably very strong because of GQ's workout program. Alcoa takes the advantage in this phase. Special Teams. Whoever can get some kind of big, momentum shifting play on special teams will be the one that comes out on top. This could be a blocked field goal or punt, a kick return, or a game winning field goal. Big plays on special teams seem to hurt teams morale more than other because you dont expect them as much. I dont know much about Maryville's special teams besides that they have a great kicker, but I do know that Alcoa's return men(Kyrus, Duck, or Shiverdecker) are all one block away from scoring. Just some food for thought. Alcoa 21 Maryville 20
  10. Joei Fiegler from Alcoa is most def the best QB in East Tennessee and prolly all of TN.
  11. Brandon's loss will greatly affect this game. He takes up two people on every play(2 people guarding him on offense, and 2 blocking him on defense). That frees up more people to make big plays where now no one will have this double coverage and make it harder for Alcoa to operate on both sides of the ball. BUT NOT SO FAST MY FRIENDS! Alcoa has plenty of other big time players to beat the Red Rebels. Joei threw the ball great the other night and Duck ran as hard or harder then I have ever seen him run. OHHH and my boy Chris Shiverdecker is the REAL DEAL!! He would have had about 175 yards had 3 long TD runs not been called back. Chris has unbelievable speed, quickness, agility, and strength. Chris had the hardest hit of the night when he ran over a pitiful Hop Town player. Kyrus and Brian both played well at receiver and seem to be more mature and calm on the field. Brandon's absence will allow Randall Cobb to get on the field as the third receiver, and Randall may be the most exciting player on the field friday night. Alcoa will be more than ready for this game because beating Maryville is the only thing they have not accomplished in their high school careers. My early week prediction is..... Alcoa 28 Maryville 27
  12. Heritage will always and forever be the laughing stock of Blount County. Come on now fellas you are acting like you just beat a good team, Seymour is terrible. HAHA
  13. I was with Brandon at his house tonight about 930 and this is exactly what he told me. He had just pancaked a guy on the play and he was laying on top of the kid. The Hop Town kid was holding Brandon's jersey and Brandon slapped his hands away. After Brandon did that the Hop Town kid grabbed Brandon's face mask with one hand and with the other hand he put it to Brandon's throat and proceeded to choke Brandon, and Brandon retaliated. All of you people on here are saying what a idiot Brandon is for retaliating, and how you should never do anything like that during a high school football game. Well I would love to see one of you guys getting choked and then not do something to keep the person from choking you. It is a natural human reaction and Brandon was trying to defend himself from a obvious assualt. This does not put Brandon above the rules by any means. If the rule is there then Brandon should just take his punishment. But any human being would try and free himself from a choke hold no matter the conditions. If Brandon does play though, then Maryville is in deep deep trouble. Brandon was on the way to one of the best games of his carrer. He already had 2 TD's and 5 or 6 TFL.
  14. Who cares if Brad Walker, Ronald Osborne, and Aaron Keener are faster then our skill people, our skill people put it in the end zone a lot and win a lot of games, and WB does neither. As for the "cowards of the county" shirts, I think they were a great idea, i wore one my self. WB and Heritage should be ashamed of themselves and I wanted to make sure everybody knew that. They knew they would have got blown out, but now when they are older and have kids there kids will ask if they played against Alcoa's greatest team ever in 2005, and they will have to tell their kids no I didnt get to play against them because we were cowards and decided not to play them. As for Maryville, wow you guys are really really small all across the board. I think is the first time Alcoa can say they are bigger and stronger than Maryville, by far. Gary Tucker is the only big strong guy. Derek Hunt or whoever will be on the ground all night because Alcoa's D-Line will dominate. Thats if Maryville even risks throwing the ball. HAHA
  15. Wow! English must not be of much importance in Loudon. But anways Alcoa wins by 21+.... Hey Tom I heard some bad things about Shiverdecker today. It is not 100 percent sure that he will be suiting up in the maroon and white. I will give you more details at school tomorrow, because I dont want to get anything started on here.
  16. Shiverdecker made a mistake coming to Alcoa, RIGHT NOW. He should have waited untill Dustin is gone because he is only going to get 10 carries a game at the most. He may get a few more in the 2A games just because the games will be very lopsided and Dustin will be relaxing on the sideline. If he can run with WR's though, then he can be a very intimidating corner. I met him thursday at school and he is a big strong kid. But, I guess as our Maryville friends know very well, the big rings are very appealing.
  17. First and foremost I want to say congrats to my long time close friend Brandon Warren on his commitment to Florida State. Brandon has lived and died for the Seminoles ever since elementary school. When we were younger we both use to talk about playing sports in college. When we would throw football outside or play football on PS2 Brandon would always imagine himself playing for the Seminoles. After his visits to Miami, LSU, and FSU the past week, Brandon told me that at FSU he was just big eyed the whole time and that he loved every single thing about FSU. He said the players and coaches were very receptive and showed great hospitality. As for the people saying Brandon will play defense, you are very wrong. Brandon will be playing TE at FSU, and will be getting the ball plenty of times. Brandon said he specifically asked the coaches about playing TE and about how much he would be getting the ball. The coaches said he would be playing TE and one of the offensive coaches told him that they will accomodate Brandon's abilities into the offense and get him the ball. Congrats again Brandon and lead the boys to another state championship! Someone asked about Joei in the board, and he is being touted heavily by a few programs. Southern Miss, Louisville, NC State, Indiana, and North Carolina are recruiting him the heaviest and I think Joei has made unofficial visits to all of the schools except Indiana.
  18. Man you guys take me way to seriously, just like you take the message boards. Thats the reason I post stuff like I do is because you guys think its life or death stuff and to see you get so mad makes me laugh my you know what off. Heres some of my vast high school football knowledge.....Who is going to play QB for the Rebels? It will have to be someone that has never started a high school football game. I would really hate to have to start my first high school game with three D-1 defensive lineman staring me down(Brandon, Rae Sykes, and Martin White). The kid is going to be so scared that I can envision 2 or 3 INT's and many many really bad incomplete passes. He will have many nightmares in the week leading up to the Alcoa game, and I know I would myself. Oh yea come and take a peak this week at Alcoa High School because Alcoa, Maryville, Fulton, and Lenoir City will all be practicing together in a camp run by the Maryville and Alcoa coaching staffs. That will be a lot of great football minds on the field at the same time.
  19. MLREB....I expect our well deserved credit on Aug 27 then. By the way, how do you guys always find your way to message boards that have absolutely nothing to do with Maryville?? Stay out of our message boards, but if you still want me to enlighten you with my vast high school football knowledge, then start a new thread where we can aurgy and have a merry time.

    Loudon

"your jumping a little ahead of urself dont u think.... anything can happen aloca had a great last season but that was last season now and they are just like any other team so if aloca gets as cocky as u sound they wont even see the playoffs" I agree with you that it was last year, and usualy that is a very good point because people lose players, but not so fast my friend. Alcoa loses one quality starter and that is it. The chemistry on this team should be even better and this will translate into even more lopsided wins. Loudon people, ask Rockwood fans what happens when you come to play Alcoa and actually think that you can win. I believe it was 28-0 or 35-0 at the half, and ended up a 35+ victory for the Tornadoes, and if I remember correctly Rockwood didnt even score.
  21. Maryville people, I cant wait to beat you guys because posts like the ones on here will make the victory even more sweet. Ootlewah, you could not beat Alcoa. We could not dominate you up front on offense, but I guarantee you we would not get dominated, our O-Line would hold their own. Also, there is no way Ootlewah could block our defensive line, and Alcoa's defensive line would dominate. Two SEC or ACC caliber DE's, and a great rotation of tackles. Alcoa's team does not fit the normal standards of a 2A team
  22. "none from huntingdon has been on here crying so i would like to know where all u people get off saying crap like that" Go back and look at the posts, there are all kinds of people saying, "if we would have done this, if we wouldnt have done that, if coach wouldnt have went away from the game plan. alcoa got lucky, and blah, blah, blah, blah." It appears you are the moron because you cant read posts. No, I do not play for the football team. Did you actually think someone who played would get on here and talk like I do? I guarantee you that Boo and Donald will not run all over Alcoa next year in the state championship game because Alcoa's coach staff is to good to get exploited like that. Take the 2003 semi-final game against David Lipscomb for example. Alcoa got absolutely crushed. Coach Reid and his staff didnt know how to prepare for DL. Then move ahead to the 2004 semi-final game and Coach Reid and his staff knew how to prepare for DL and absolutely abused DL in all aspects of the game.
  23. "If not for some gutsy play calling in the first half we would probably not even been close by the 4th QTR." E-X-A-C-T-L-Y! Huntington people please stop the shoulda coulda woulda stuff because it is July 4, 7 MONTHS AFTER THE GAME. You got beat by a superior team, just get over it and if you think you got jipped, then go work out, get back to the Boro, and try to prove yourselves. You people are saying how we will get beat because we won the state last year, well you guys are headed towards an early loss if you keep crying over a game that was 7 MONTHS AGO!!!!!!!!
  24. "Very true, and an ego like that could be just enough distraction to get them beat by a good west tennessee team playing in a district like 7aa. take your pick from about 2 or 3 that could do it." "please too much ego" Untill one of these teams beats us, then you can keep taking the back seat to us. How can you say we have to much ego, my last post was only facts, our only weakness is the secondary. If you can find another weakness then please enlighten me. Rebel Nation.....Only 54 more days untill the most anticipated game of the year. I cant wait.
  25. Unless Huntington got Brett Favre to play QB this year, then they have no chance. Huntington is one of the worst throwing teams I have ever seen. The only way Alcoa can be beat is if a team's QB gets really hot and throws all over them because the secondary is Alcoa's ONLY weakness. I think Alcoa by more than last year because Alcoa didnt lose anybody really and the team chemistry will be even better, and this will transfer into more big play, first downs, touchdowns, and defensive stops. Also, all of Alcos's players will be even faster and stronger because Coach Reid's summer workouts are great.
