She might be able to play JUCO ball and refine some skills, get some strength, learn how to post, and recover from injuries. If she has the ability, it will come out in a couple of years of JUCO then who knows. And maybe the big girl just don't want to play no more.

Did this home winning streak start when Westmoreland moved into single A? If so, that's a good run, RBS must be the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde team. Never know which one is going to show up.

I agree she is a very good coach, but for some one to come on here and talk about her out coaching Carter is a little too much for me. Her team might beat him, but for out coaching. I don't think so. I think good players make good coaching. Good coaching only puts good players in the right position to make or not make good plays.

Macon County's Coach Carter beat Westmoreland the for the AA region title the last time they were together in 2000-2001 and went to the sweet sixteen. 2 College signees for Westmoreland from that team and 0 for Macon County. So, I wouldn't say that Abner outcoached Carter then. Coach has had a few state tourney appearances with the first in 1978 (I believe). Most of the banners are quite old but you can go to Nera White and see a few for yourself.

Lack of money to pay people and lack of teaching positions would be my guess, or maybe they just don't want to go home to a nagging wife/kids.

I"m glad they aren't going to lay down. It would be hard to play basketball that way.

DCA is a good basketball team. The only weakness would be a team with good post players, they would not be able to defend a post game. The major factor in the win over DA would be legs in the 4th quarter. DCA had legs and DA did not. There pressure defense is good, but not great, but they do a good job of recovering. Their strengths is the way they push the ball and shoot the 3. They will probably win district/regional (depending on how well the 3 ball falls)but could have a very difficult time with Trenton/Wayne County.

I wouldn't say all the other teams have gotten better, but that there has become more parity in the district. The really good teams of the past are not as good as they once were and the poor teams have become average (compared to the recent years). There are really not that many dominant basketball teams anymore, but a lot of average teams which can now compete and win on any given night.

If the Beech coach didn't want the team to slow it down, he could have come out of the zone defense. Sounds like a boring game, but at the end of the year it will be W for Beech and a L for DL.

I haven't seen Cait play but evidently she's good. Clark's the best in the Mid-state area, and is usually referred to as automatic double-double which is why most are calling her the most dominant. She just controls the paint, and anytime you can control the paint you control the game.

I don't think anyone would want to play vs. shelbyville in elimination tournament. The name on the front and the color of the jersey's and the little guy on the bench scare the living poo out of the opponents. Plus being blinded by all the jewelry on the bench, would make it difficult for anyone to make a shot.

The rating of the movie is PG-13, so I wouldn't take a anyone under the age of 13. Salty, i don't think this was filmed in Macon, but maybe Gary Carter and the Macon County Tigers helped inspire the movie.

I saw a post concerning AA Mrs. Basketball but none concerning AAA. Who are the favorites? I haven't heard much about any seniors making any noise in AAA with the exceptiong of Clark and Gassie. Are these two likely to make the final cut since both are from Middle TN?

I wouldn't count on this game getting close. Hitting 3's versus White House when you are ahead by a bunch vs. hitting 3's against a better Central defense while trying to come back is much harder. WC will still be a little bitter from letting one get away from them vs. rival MJ.

Shouldn't it be slim chance instead of No Chance? Anytime a ball is tipped into the air between two teams there is a chance, even if it's a slim chance? But I'll say HH by double digits.
