I'm not sure generals take on Eli is all correct. I saw a punishing ground game from the rockets but they have no shot to throw the ball with the qb. They are handicapped a little. Meanwhile Marion has to be able to throw with 9 men in the box. We ran one misdirection play and scored on it. Our offense is so predictable that most dcs have called the plays out before we run them. There has to be a little creativity at some point.

Well, back to the old Marion. This is hard to watch. Forrest is bullying Marion and looks like we don't like to tackle. All except 42 and 6. Line is getting blasted off the ball and qb play isn't good.

Sequatchie has been dominant for 4 or 5 years on the middle school level, not sure why it doesn't translate to the high school program.

What I was gonna say. The linebackers are big and physical. We won't see the overall athletes that we have seen so far. This game will be a good test for our guys. How is forests oline?

I thought possible road block early in the season at Forrest, but the Gordy game really surprises me. The mc defense is really improved on the year and the offense is hit or miss. #1 is finally stepping up and playing like he should have all along. We are a little banged up at the moment but nothing to serious thankfully. Mc by 14

I feel like the Warriors match up pretty well with east rob athlete wise. If they like to throw the ball it could be a long night for the qb. Marion will blitz the qb all night.

Last year's team also lost a Mr football candidate in the second game. They didn't have an identity after that, and I got made fun of because I said that. The whole offense was built around the bellcow fullback and all of the sudden there isn't anyone to plug in his place. The sophomore complimentary pieces are thrust in the spotlight and the offense wasn't ready. Now, they have had a year to change identity and the first couple of weeks there have been rough patches but the last two games there have been improvement from playcalling, to the qb getting settled some and the biggest difference is at dc where a change in staff helped this defense from playing on its heels to becoming an attacking defense. Hopefully they can keep improving every week. And no, this team isn't quite to the level of those 14-17 teams yet.

I think we match up ok with east Robersons athletes. Especially if 13 is healthy
