  1. Pick it right here, right now!! We have exactly one month before these two basketball TITANS clash on the hardwood, so...let's pump it up before the teams meet for the 1st time on January 12th. TheA9
  2. I for one can't wait to FINALLY get to watch a complete game Friday night at Oliver Springs. Due to concession duty and calling MS games, I have yet managed to watch more then an entire half of Indian basketball. However, I was truly impressed by the hustle, effort, determination, and will displayed througout the time I have got to watch these men play--entire second half versus Oakdale, parts of the 1st and 3rd periods vs. Wartburg and Coalfield and basically the entire fourth periods of play versus those two teams. To the players and coaches, keep working hard, believe in the system, and I know good things will come to a seemingly improving 3-1 team. Coach Stiltner
  3. tiggerbaby, If you read up a few posts, the game was PPD due to an emergency!
  4. I reckon from my "inside' sources that Puleo was a non-factor in that her attitude holds her back. I know she only scored round 10pts, had 8 turnovers, and fouled out--in which case she wasn't a very good teammate at all to her fellow players. It sounds as if Martin, Philllips, and Co. did an excellent job in shutting down this SEC caliber player.
  5. Da Great Kaz I Am!! Forget Sam I Am, I like the ring to Da Great Kaz I Am!!
  6. When you say "in Scott Co," does this include both Scott High and Oneida or just Scott High. If it includes both, mine would have to be Oneida winning the state C'Ship back in 92!!
  7. There is this player named Chris Shiverdecker that runs the ball for this coach named Gary Rankin. The team: ALCOA!! Anoter name: Josh Hawkins from Loudon--he has committed to UT. I'm just throwing his name into the hat. It sounds as if every back listed is very capable of being titled "The Best Running Back in East Tennessee!"
  8. I do not believe that Stone Memorial is playing a varsity schedule yet since this their first year of existence. They did play Kingston's JV on Friday night--a game in which they won something like 21-6 according to WECO!!
  9. Reading that gives me cold chills my friend. I just had the opportunity to see the family at a "Celebration of Life" party held in Paxton's honor at New Haven's fellowship hall---they are an extremely strong bunch that needs our prayers. I know this much about Scott Countians (I may be a transplant now calling Scott County "home")--they truly care as was evidenced by the showing of care and support during my somewaht brief appearance tonight. God Bless Coach Stiltner
  10. I was told by a very reliable source (and the obit line) that the family will receive friends for Paxton on Friday evening from 5pm to 9pm at New Haven Baptist Church. Although I will not be able to make it by the church due to the game versus Wartburg, I can assure you that the family IS and will continue to be in the prayers of my family. Continue to keep the ENTIRE family in your prayers as there is still at least one in the hosptial (Katie), if not two--haven't heard about Hannah in a day or two.
  11. Kaz, Now, now....how interesting are things going to be without your very insightful posts my fine INDIAN friend?? WrittenWord and Co will carry on, but....things would not even be close to the same!! I log on multiple times daily just to see what you and very few others have stirred up
  12. To ALL of you that have prayed, I, and I'm sure the rest of the Oneida Indians family, truly thanks each and every one of you out there who has taken a minute to say a prayer for the family--whether it be for the individuals, the extended family, the school family, or just any Scott Countian at all who knew these 5 young people. I know the family continues to need our prayers to help them get through these very tough times. Thanks for the prayers, Coach Stiltner OHS
  13. Reckon these two teams could meet a 4th time in the Region??
  14. Boys C'Ship match-up is: Mary Hughes vs Bluff City gooseman told me that Mary Hughes beat Harriman by at least 20pts or so
  15. It looks like Area II has Oneida in the semi-finals while Area I has the remaining three teams: 1) Bluff City, 2) Cloudland, and 3) Mary Hughes Saturday's semi finals match-ups are as follows: ( Mary Hughes vs Cloudland ( Oneida vs Bluff City
  16. I know this much about Friday's results: ( Bluff City over CACC by around 29pts (G) Newport over Fairview 20 something to 9, maybe 27--28 ( Oneida over Pi Beta Phi by 11-12 points (G) Coalfield over Pi Beta Phi by 12 points Saturday match-ups: (G) A1 Blountville vs A1 Happy Valley (G) A1 Newport vs A2 Coalfield ( A1 Mary Hughes vs A1 Cloudland ( A2 Onieda vs A1 Bluff City
  17. If my source is correct (and he usually is), Mary Hughes had some guys out in their Area tournament who were back last night, so....had those players not been out, they could have possibly been #1, not #3!!
  18. I'll 2nd that. The boys in black and vegas gold had a tremondous season--never let anyone tell you any different!!
  19. As it stands right now: Girls Semi #1: Blountville vs Happy Valley Boys Semi #1: Mary Hughes vs Cloudland
  20. Nice Best of luck to you guys in the district and region!!
  21. At least our fouled out girl didn't put up any points against AC Tuesday night--LOL!!
  22. I did hear my wife comment on a situtation in the PJ-HV girls game that took 20 minutes to clear up, but....I don't believe it affected the outcome of the Huntsville--Cloudland contest. I could be wrong, but...if it had've she'd let me know!! BTW, how is Jacob's (Huntsville) arm??
  23. That is an awinspiring article. I had cold chills and was nearly in tears while reading the article to my social studies class just a little while ago!! Everyone involved with this situation is to be commended for allowing this to happen!!
