Not doubting Meigs' heart. The veteran players that are still there will give it their best effort. There's just not enough of them left. There are some serious questions surrounding the coaching staff at Meigs. The questions have been there for a long time. It's just now getting the attention it should have gotten months ago, due to losing ballgames. It will be like the OS game because it is a rivalry and Central will be more fired up, especially with the return of Watson and Jackson.

Meigs will be glad the clock is running without stopping in the 4th quarter. It won't be a malfunction, I think they refer to it as "The Mercy Rule". Chargers -- Whatever they want it to be Tigers -- 6

Yeah it should be a good tune up game.. They whipped our butts pretty good last yr, but its another year! We already have two players injured.. 1 lineman with a broke foot, and a linebacker with a broke ankle plus jackson wont be playin against them either.. Howard will have to out speed Central's tallent,,, It will be close, But Central's depth will pay big dividends. Everybody else will battle it out for 3rd.

I don't know anything about what's going on at Meigs right now, But I've been watching the Meigs vs. Central rivalry for a long long time. I don't think you can honestly accuse any of the Rayls of not having "community pride". You can't watch a ball game of any kind in Meigs County without hearing the name Rayl called out. Little league or high school. If he does come to Central there will have to be a very good reason for it.

I don't see it as running from a less talented team. I think it's more like jumping from a sinking ship. I don't think they are looking for a D C. . But I think the one they have now is the reason for a lot of the players leaving. Keep in mind when grading him, Rayl was just a Sophomore last year.

Does anyone understand this reply? Looks like he is saying Cheesehead is the parent of one of the Cumberland signees from Central. I don't think that is the case. If I'm wrong somebody straighten me out. I don't think 5 out of the 7 seniors got scholarships either.

Central only lost 7 seniors off the football team this year. One is a Salutatorian, another has a 3.98 GPA. at least 2 more I know of have above a 3.5. The other 3 are good kids also, 6 were starters. I just don't see the thugs I guess?

You seem to be the only one that does have a clue. Can you enlighten us? I'm from Englewood and white as cotton, but I have no idea what or who you are talking about. I've got a kid on the team, so I think I hear most of the stuff that goes on. I have not talked to or heard anybody that disagreed with the change at quarterback last year. Although in my opinion Jordan's talents could be put to better use at another position. But I'm not the coach. Let's let Coach Derrick do his job. It amazes me that Coach Derrick gets the blame for what is happening in March.

Don't understand why you say next year is a "reloading year"? They will already be loaded. They are loaded with starting juniors this year.
