East Rob is pretty sound. Good hitters, not going to beat themselves. Gordonsville was suppose to be in our region but moved to district 7 during the off-season, not sure why or how they pulled that off. I’m assuming they’re first and the team to beat coming out of that district.

Westmoreland wins at Smith County last night to lock up second place in the district. Not too bad for a historically terrible volleyball program (westmoreland is a basketball school when it comes to girls). No seniors. Only 4 upperclassmen who contribute in a big way on varsity. 3 starting freshmen, two of which can make their case for team MVP. Future is bright for volleyball in Motown. As Deion likes to put it, WE COMING! (Just not this year lol)

No that means the entire region is so down that anything can happened, unlike the past couple of years when one team dominated. You'll see in round 2 when smith co. will be the only one left standing in 4-2a. Wait and see i called it first

All of 4-2a is fairly weak this season, evident in Yorks 35-0 loss to Marion Co. York was picked to repeat in the region this year. Tyner will be too much for westmoreland. Tyner by 14

weather is a factor for every team. anybody that has played football knows that. And yes there are other players but they don't carry the ball as much as this kid. by far the best player when he holds on to the ball

Rain rain, the remnents of Gustav have blown thru and left quite a mess. Hope it clears out by tonihgt i for one don't wnat to sit in it. Question is who will have the advantage? The bees throw alot so will it affect Fields and his recievers. Westmoreland is able to run effecively but their slow enough as it is. And Wix has fumbled 3 times in 2 games... when it was dry out. That ole pigskin will be slicker than a gut tonight. Upperman usually has a size advantage up front while westy holds the strength advantage, so who will benefit? Any thoughts???

It WAS a butt whoopin bc ya'll had a more talented team...I ain't gonna lie about that. Out of ten games we might win 3 against that team. Thats wat made it so special......and if I had to choose between a semi-final appearance and beatin a favored SC team for a region championship, I'd take the ship...everytime.

That's right buddy. Look at the bright side, at least ya'll will get to ahng ya'lls hat on second place....AGAIN! I would also suggest to ice that rump daily, keep the swelling down.

I'm not gonna make any predictions, I'm just gonna tell you what I know for certain. Westmoreland played great defense last week...against an offense that in which you can call out the play before the ball is snapped. I think they will continue to be strong against the run, but they will continue to struggle against the pass due to a large amount of youth and inexperience. Wix has run the ball well of late, but...against two 4-4 defenses and a 3-3-5 defense, all of which a wing-t can torch. Westmoreland hasn't been able to run on them in the past two years, don't see how they can start now. And by the way...all this talk about how tough it is to play up on the"mountain"....it much worse down in the black hole. Westy might wanna consider stealing that dang horn...cause it gets old.

Oh boy...ya'lls butt must still be sore after that whoopin we put on ya'll last october. I thought after sneakin out with the win in the playoffs it would have wore off a little bit but I guess not. Ha Ha Ha.... I'll send a tube a Bengay by Mr. postman. Anyways concerning York, I think they get beat in the second round, regardless if they're home or not.

Would you like me to lie and say that public schools can. Trust me man, I don't support private schools. I think it's crazy how we have to play them at all. But the truth is the truth.

Now let me post my opinion... DCA is way ahead of York this year. Matter of fact, I thought York didn't play half as good as people have on hear have been saying they are. Sayin that I'll say this, DCA is not a great team. How do I know...CPA beat them 35-7. CPA and Goodpasture are great teams, the kind that win state championships, not just region championships. It's just toohard for public schools to compete with private schools. Much less compare the two.

Any potential westmoreland had went out the window when freeman went down. He was so much of both their offense and defense, I just don't know if they can overcome it. Offense is now one dimensional, which is running the middle, and the defense continues to struggle against good teams. Hope they can prove me wrong though...

Prayers come out from Westmoreland. Hope he recover's and has no further problems from this.
