  1. What happened to the Sherman kid? I saw in your post that he had a freak accident. Does Lewis County still run the same Offense from the time that they start in the Pee Wee's all the way up until they put on the Black and Yellow for the last time? I had heard that Lewis County did that and I know that if the kids stay with football that they will know the Offense inside and out. Bravo to you guys if that is what the team does. I wish that more schools did that. You guys deserved the win over Hickman County this year, ya'll just whooped our butts in every part of the game and I'm a big enough person to admit that. The scary thing is that all of those guys willget a chance to be even stronger after the offseason in the weight room. I am looking forward to next year for Lewis and Hickman. I think that East Hickman will be an improved team, but I don't see the Eagles being able to hang with the Panthers for another couple of years. I see you guys going fairly deep into the playoffs next year and then maybe all of the haters out there will finally give the Panthers the respect that they deserve. Did any of the private schools move up to our new region next for next year? What are some of your reasons that you think that Lewis County has had trouble the past few years getting into the quarters?
  2. Why doesn't LC fans give up on the football season and leave the forum? IT'S CALLED BEING EXCITED ABOUT THE CHANCES FOR THEIR TEAM FOR NEXT YEAR. I don't know who your team is, but it sounds to me like that you are not looking forward to next year. I for one say BRAVO Lewis County fans and students, stay excited about the season next year. I'm not even a big time Panther fan and I'm hoping that you guys have a great year and shock some people in the playoffs that think that Lewis County can't win the big games in the playoffs, because I for one know how good the Panthers have been in the past and that they have a great chance to be even better in the future. Goodpasture doesn't stink as bad as you thought they did either, huh TropicalStorm? They went into the Lion's Den and beat CPA 35 to 21. Does that sound like a team that stinks to anybody else? Keep supporting your team Panther fans and being great fans. I was really happy this year when I looked across the field at the visitors bleachers and they were pretty well full. Does Lewis County still use the same Offense from the time that the players start as Pee Wee's in Junior Pro all the way up to the last night that they put on the Yellow and Black? If they still do that, then I see Lewis County being good for many years to come. Also does anybody from Lewis County wish that the TSSAA would get it right and put ALL private schools in Division 2 where they truly belong? I say that we need to start flooding Ronnie Carter's email account with complaints and maybe, just maybe, if so many people get on his case about it then maybe we would be able to have a true Division 1 state champion. Are there any Lewis County fans that want to get into the ALL PRIVATE DIVISION 2 crusade with me? I mean look at who has put you guys out of the playoffs in at least two seasons, if I'm not mistaken hasn't it been PRIVATE SCHOOL Goodpasture? Get with me my Panther friends and let's get things right in Division 1 football.
  3. We lost 21 Seniors this year. Including #2 RB Scott Sowell, #3 QB/DB DJ Key, #5 WR/RB/DB/P Marcus Grimes, #32 FB/WR/LB Phillip Jenkins and #90 TE/DE Kyle Nave and we lost 9 O/D Linemen. We also had 13 Juniors, 11 Sophomores, and 17 Freshmen. Who will be the starting Quarterback and Running Backs for the Panthers? Our starter at Quarterback will more than likely be Nathan Davis and I have no clue who the Running Backs will be. How young will the Panthers be next year? I don't see the Dawgs taking the Little Brown Jug away from the Panthers anytime soon. Does anybody know when the game between the Panthers and the Bulldogs is going to be played next year? I also want to take this time to apologize for my fellow Bulldog fans for accusing the Panthers of watering the field before the regular season game in 2007. Don't worry about not getting out of the second round of the playoffs, because Coach Sharp will have the Panthers hungrier than ever to get that bad taste out of their mouths and I will be pulling for you guys next year, well at least until the Panthers play the Bulldogs. I know that this is the football part of the message board, but how is Lewis County doing so far in Girl's and Boy's Basketball. I wish the Panthers the best of luck in every sport this year.
  4. Who all did you guys lose on the Offensive Line? I wish you guys the best of luck next year and don't worry about all of the haters. They will just be shocked when Lewis County gets into the Quarters next year if not further. Just tell the guys to stay /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> and work hard during the offweason and they will do fine next year. As far as a record for the regular season next year. I say either 8-2 or 7-3 and then you guys will sneak up on some teams in the playoffs. I'm not so sure about my Bulldogs. I think that they are going to struggle. Speaking of my Bulldogs, when is the Lewis County versus Hickman County game next year? There is nothing quite like the atmosphere during a Hickman County versus Lewis County game.
  5. This game will be over by halftime. Fairview had a good year with a huge upset in the first round, so just be happy with it because the stinger is going to be ripped out Friday night. Well that is unless Fairview can find a way to stop CPA's 6'7" 245 pound Wide Receiver/ Running Back and I don't see it happening. I also wouldn't go to the concession stand because when you get back to your seat it could be 21 to 0 like it was with my Bulldogs. Best of luck the rest of the way CPA. It really won't matter anyway because everybody else is playing for second place, because Alcoa will win championship number 9 this year.
  6. I haven't seen either team play this year, but I know that the South Pittsburg players will be playing with heavy hearts after the accident on Sunday afternoon. I will say that South Pittsburg wins this one for the community. Also everyomne in South Pittsburg, just know that you are in the thoughts and prayers of the Hickman County Bulldogs.
  7. I completely understand why people want to back there team or they wouldn't be on this message board talking about their team. I wish the teams that are still in the playoffs the best of luck and that no team has any injuries. Let's also remember the Sophomore at South Pittsburg that passed away on Sunday from a 4-wheeler accident and to keep that family in your thoughts and prayers over the next weeks and months. Just imagine what Christmas is going to be like this year for the family. Football is just a game in comparison to what happened to that young person.
  8. Thoughts and prayers from the Hickman County Bulldogs. May God's blessings be on the family and the entire community.
  9. I did send Ronnie Carter a message, but all that I ever get back from him is an excuse and it never gets anything resolved. I could do a better job than Ronnie Carter can and the first thing that I would do is to put ALL PRIVATE SCHOOLS IN DIVISION 2 WHERE THEY BELONG. Rather you agree with me or not, the TSSAA screwed Hickman County an 8 and 2 team by sending them on the road to a 7 and 3 team. This game should be played at Bratton Field in Centerville, not at the Lion's Den. I hope that the DAWGS win by at least two touchdowns and then maybe all of the CPA fans will finally give Hickman County a little respect.
  10. Why is Hickman County playing a PRIVATE school anyway? Hickman County will have to play their best game and have the football Gods on their side to win this game of DIVISION 1 VS DIVISION 2.
  11. Great post EastAdvocate. I agree with you 100%. Best of luck against the Kittens on Thursday night.
  12. Go shock the world Eagles. We are pulling for you guys in Centerville. Does anybody from east have an injury update on Justin "Tater" Jennette? I coached him at East Middle School and was wondering how he is after the injury during the Centerville game.
  13. The families of the four cheerleaders involved in the accident are in the thoughts and prayers of the Hickman County Bulldogs.
  14. I am really looking forward to this game and there are only a few short hours to go before the helmets are strapped on and both teams leave it all on the field. I may also walk over to the East Hickman side and see if I can find anybody that I know. I don't really care who wins as long as the players and fans show sportsmanship. I think that there should be a traveling trophy for this rivalry. Does anyone else agree with me? I mean, we have the Hutchens Nutt Little Brown Jug with Lewis County and I think that it would be fun if East and Centerville played for a trophy of some kind. If there were a trophy for this rivalry what would the trophy be called? Good luck to both teams and I hope that there are no injuries in the game.
  15. That was a great post thesister. For anybody from East that hasn't been to a Hickman County game this year it has become a great atmosphere for high school football. We now have people that ride their motorcycles to the games and they rev up the engines when the team runs out of the banner. Also the crowd is in the game every game, well except the Lewis County game. The crowd just seemed dead. I don't care if either team is getting beat by 100, get behind your team from opening kickoff until the final seconds run off of the clock.
