I agree, if your running the option and have a one dimension offense.... your QB had to be tough and your gonna get hit almost every play if the D gets off your blocks... Because regardless of the how believable the fake is, if you've played defensive line you know you cant always see through offensive linemen and if you see the OB's back you know you wanna knock him on his butt... Also, its highschool... i ain't gonna be perfect ask the smyrna games refs they mess up all the time

Heck, if you run an option you should know your qb will get his bell rung quite a bit.... especially if your Brentwood playing Franklin..... maybe more than one dimension of offense would have been a good idea... btw your back needs to be here not here #KeepFlatBack/LowManWins

No vengeance this week. Just pride, playoffs, and bragging rights. If it is close FHS needs to keep their heads up all game. No turnovers/penalties... O-Line fire off like you got ants in your pants, and be "QUICK!" not quick but "QUICK!"

I'm sure to have high blood pressure after this game... I just hope the Rebs dont go to overtime or im likely to have a heart attack.... no turnovers and offensive production in the red zone is what we need, and for the love of god CHS Team Player and all you other haters start posting some fuel for our fire! Smyrnas fans are too respectable (no disrespect to them, their district is used to high school football greatness)

It was a good game and I was so happy to see it play out... Good to see my Rebels with the "upset." Finally got the offense started in the 2nd half, oh wait, it should have been a much higher scoring game by FHS... If the Rebs can get out of the 1st half blues and put the ball in the endzone consistantly without stalling or turning it over their playoff hopes are in their hands...

come on now if fhs is up 36-0 and they need some practice, practice does make perfect!

Yes, to all my Franklin coaches I'm back on the internets for some more trash talking...... at least this friday it'll be against my dear old ma and her beloved cougars..... I hope to get out of Ft. Bragg this weekend to come see the game. Oh and I'm feeling a beat down.... maybe I'll make it to a pep rally or such on Friday!

obviously, know one is mature enough to make a replay to this thread.... but all i can say is that one of my great mentors in donald webb is leaving my school, and i have to believe its for his gain, (coaching is a job isnt it?), and that i played under coach clayton and i felt as if the strategy was up to the level of play.... im pretty sure FHS will just have to get past the BS to get ready for another great season, and wish both coaches the best of luck, because weather or not they realise it they were both father figures of mine.... BTW I'm gonna try to get away from Ft. Bragg for a scrimmage!!!!!! if someone could notify me of the schedule i'd be glad to spectate a great pre season game!!!!!! and if i was an english scholar i'd be somewhere other than the airborne infantry! H-MINUS!!!!

Im goint to say this 19 days before I leave for boot camp... I am a senior from the '08 season and I realized a good lesson. Football coaches are just that football coaches, and there is one thing they like, a challenge. I remember every game of the last two years and the farther away the game, the more hype we got going to it.(minus a few we already checked in to the W collumn) I, for the past few days, have been working out with the Ordungs (offensive line) while they prepare their team. I have no doubt that we could make the same run this year as we did last. Highschool is all about motivation. I was a two year letterman and was still the 3rd smallest on our starting line. It's the want of the gold ball that kept me going both years. As young as our team seems to be I can tell you from personal experience, Franklin ALWAYS has a chance. It's not as much the coaches as it is the players and their desire to do whatever physical and mental preparation is needed. I hope to return from Ft. Benning by Thanksgiving to see the Rebels in the 3rd round. But, I cant make any promises considering my path in life. My mom "Mrs. Combos" is sure to be sending me all the info on the season I could ever want. So, I guess my predictions are worthless due to all the byass built in my blood over the last 4 years, but If we have the character we had last year anything is possible. (insert: To REBELS who belive!) HOORAH

yeah he's a pretty "spirited" player (massengale), and by that i mean during our game I got plenty of cheap shots from him... but, he is huge. Oh, wait that means NOTHING in high school football. And, we ran ALL over him when he was on defense.

Well, I thought we were tough. That guy is a CHAMPION, and I hope you'll send congradulations to him from FHS. We were wondering why the kicking was like that. Who says kickers aren't tough?
