  1. Sounds just like gp and white house game last year.
  2. I think GP picks up their first win. They have played a tough schedule, CPA will surprise a lot of people this year, and they played pretty well against a superior team in Louisville Central. I do see some points being put up in this game, as in years past. My pick GP 55 macon 28. I do think Macon is on the rise however. By the way where did Pemberton coach before Macon?
  3. CPA won the battle up front all night. They looked well coached, and very hungry. Very impressive win.
  4. 21 14 cpa. Halftime. CPA looking very good.
  5. I can't believe there is no talk about this week zero matchup. This is always a great rivalry, where is everybody? Goodpasture returns their all-state QB, along with most of their backfield and WRs. The question mark for the cougars is up front, especially on O. For this reason I think we will see GP put the ball in the air more than ususual. CPA folks: How is the team responding to a new coach? How has the team looked in scrimages? What can we expect to see from the lions. I know you have a DI type WR, name escapes me, can you get him the ball? Also heard you guys are bigger upfront than in recent years. I think we can expect another tight one. Who ever can limit the big play will pull it out. My pick: GP 35 CPA 21
  6. This is about the most classless post I've ever read on coachT. I am a Goodpasture Fan and I think most of us felt they would have to play a perfect game just to keep it close. Alcoa is a great team, probably the best regardless of classification. The players and coaches are a class act. I think the reason that alot of people can't stand Alcoa is because comments like this from some of their fans. Goodpasture has nothing for Alcoa, but they are hardly a joke of a program as you say; nor are the programs Goodpasture played along the way. You just spit in the face of what High School football is about. One day Alcoa will lose, it may be 10 more years, but I hope you lose with as much class as you win with. Congrats to Alcoa on another great year.
  7. Tradition? I think not. If my memory serves me correctly Goodpasture has won 2 out of the last 3 against Milan. Sounds like more of a tradition for Goodpasture.
  8. I hate to hear about CPA's quarterback. When healthy CPA could beat all but about 4-5 teams in 3A. I think GP will win a hard fought game, pulling away in the end. 35-21 GP
  9. These are not DL posters, these are people trying to rag on macon.
  10. Milan is not Alcoa. It is way to early for them to be making plans for Cookville.
  11. If I'm not mistaken he just has to show a change of address, in other words rent a house in PC zone. Kent Hand switched from East Robertson to WHH. Those schools are only about 5 miles apart. Maybe your right though because one is private and one is public.
  12. Word on the street is that Richardson from Ensworth is going to Pearl Cohn. I could see them beating any team in the west.
  13. Congrats to the bobcats on a great year. I think GB is a good team, I don't think they matchup well with GP. You have to be able to throw it around to beat GP. White House and Macon were able to put up some points. I say it will be similar to DL game. 28-6 GP.
  14. The cougars should win this one going away. The question is will they. Goodpasture has not exactly had the killer instinct this year. If Sycamore doesn't have a passing attack GP will shut them down.
  15. CPA would be a tough draw for anyone in the first round, as would Tyner.
  16. I would be very suprised if WH could hang with Springfield. But if Springfield starts turning it over like they have done several times this year, anything could happen. Springfield 20-7.
  17. Great win for the cougars last night. That was definatly the most atheletes gp has seen all year. I think the defense has turned a corner. Still gave up some passing yards, but overall held them in check. I think facing this McGavock team will pay off in the playoffs.
  18. This was a week of heartbreak if you route for the Devils, the Vols, and the Titans.
  19. Bottom line...Lipscomb wanted it more. I think Lipscomb is hitting their stride after a rough start. GP is a good team, but they needed this wake up call. Teams aren't just going to lay down. I would like to see more mental toughness from GP defense, or they may not make it as deep in the playoffs as they want to (York).

  21. No disrespect to GC but Goodpasture should take this one. I have a little conspiracy theory for the GP fans to chew. I think GP is going to really open up the passing game this post season. When you think Goodpasture you think run, run, run. I'm sure they will, but I think they have not shown their entire passing attack in the last few games, to set teams up. This staff has shown more willingness to try different things, such as changing defences against Lipscomb. DL thought they knew what GP would do, and GP totally caught them off guard. I think the same is going to happen in the playoffs. Teams are expecting GP to run the ball down their throats, but I think they are going to try to open it up. I don't think they have the speed to get to the edge or pound the middle against Pearl, Milan, ect. Just a thought.
  22. I can't remember the last time Lipscomb has lost this badly.
  23. I never said Goodpasture wasn't good. I just think this team is not as good as the last three years, particularly the last two. When I say the teams they played in the playoffs are not that good. Its all relative. Of course the are good teams to make it to the playoffs, there are many that did not. For instance I don't think any team they have played in the playoffs this year are as strong as last years Camden team. Or CPA in first round last year. They are coming together at the right time. I just don't think they have the horses this year. The defense is not nearly as strong, and they are much more one demensional on offense. They are a good team, but you cannot tell me that CPA is as good this year as the last two. Any CPA fans like to chime in. This is the "rebuilding year", and they are in the final four, thats great. I love Goodpasture, its my alma mater, in my it will be a major upset if they win on Friday.
